@zeap: and the last epi i saw was the hospital on the moooon... and by the way... i got super teary in rose's last episode :gonk:
hi hi colors :) nice to meet you too! always nice to meet more doctor who fans and just eccleston fans in general :squee:
i'm just now, warming up to tennent... i think he's alright, but it took a whole season for just that :P and which episode did the 10th doctor get really angry in rose's defense?? *scratches chin* i can't thiiiiink
Ooh, even though Martha's season isn't my favourite by quite a bit (not Martha's fault, it just didn't have as many 'winning' episodes in my eyes), there are a few gems in there! (don't blink ;))
Aw, I think we all did :) But, uh, all is not lost. :ninja:
Finally saw last weekend's episode, as I was staying with a friend for the weekend who doesn't like Doctor Who (I tried!) and.. ahhhh! *flails*
Spoilers, spoilers, spoilers..X
At first I was just going "WTF EVERYBODY'S DYING WHAT IS GOING OOOOONNN!?".. I wonder if this is going to be a recurring thing with starting every episode with a bunch of really confusing scenes. I also didn't really get why they had to go through that whole running from the government thing.. was that explained? I may need to watch it again.. >.>
I thought the twist with the Silence was great, though as.. someone already said, didn't quite expect it so soon in the series. However, I guess the whole pregnancy / Time Lord girl make up for it. I think there are a lot of theories about the girl that would make sense. I like the theory that she is River Song from when she was a child, but that would make River a Time Lord, and I think the Doctor would have realised already if she was. Also, what would Amy be doing in that picture then?
It is possible she is a future daughter of any of the current crew and has been affected by the TARDIS, and it is also possible that she is related to The Master.. I don't think.. well, I hope we haven't seen the last of him. I don't think she would be related to Jenny though as she is only part Time Lord and I think they did say she doesn't have all the powers of a true Time Lord (which I suppose is why the Doctor can't feel her presence in the universe) so even if she did have a daughter, I don't think she would have regenerative abilities? Well, maybe. It just doesn't feel right..
I just know I can't wait to find out. :gonk:
ALSO ALSO ALSO ALSO AMY AS A PIRATE AHHHHHH! Be still, my beating heart!
>.>
And welcome to our newcomers! I hope you'll like it here! :D Martha used to be my favourite companion, but to be honest, I think she has the least character development throughout her series out of the new companions, which made her become a little boring toward the end. But she is really smart and independent, which is always good for a companion.

That was extremely confusing! But it made the whole episode so much more satisfying when the Doc jumped out of his chains, ever the man in charge, and everyone left their bodybags. Oooh, Doctor, how I love thee.
Quote:
He's hot when he's clever.
Oooh, yes he is.
The running-from-government schtick was a trick to deceive the Silence-- a pretense so that the gang could travel to every state in the U.S. and collect hatchmarks to determine how intense the Silence's infiltration actually was. (By the way, sudden appearance of hatchmarks? Very scary for little old me. Effective device, that.)
Plus, the ruse that Canton was working under posthypnotic suggestion kept everyone safe momentarily, and his goal to imprison the doctor gave an excuse to build the impenetrable prison. The Silence probably wouldn't have allowed the black room's construction otherwise. In the impenetrable prison, Doc & company got to finally discuss their plans without worry of being overheard...
I think that's it. Dunno. :?
P.S. Your friend doesn't like the Doctor? Howbefriendthen? Bah. Brainwash this person. And maybe chain him/her to a chair next time you need to watch the Doctor. That's legal, right? :)
That makes a lot of sense.. I don't know how I didn't think of that. But I tend to not think too much or theorise about shows while I'm watching them or just after I've watched them. So that's my excuse. >.>
Still, I should probably watch again. And tie down partner to watch with me as he claims he doesn't like it either, though he's only seen parts of a couple of episodes, which totally does not count. I must start by showing him Tooth and Claw though, as he loves history and Britishness and it doesn't get much more British than Queen Victoria.. also it is just a fantastic episode. :D
@Biggles: Ooooh, that was cute and made me laugh really hard. Thank you. XD
@Cherry and ljosberinn:
ob lah di obl lah dahX
I was helpful? Woot!
It's very, very easy for me to get distracted by all of the shinythings happening on Dr. Who; this one confused me enough that I rewatched the entire thing. :P
Although there was also... 10 was great at blending in and pretending to be a human when the situation called for it. 11 sits in a toilet like "WATS THIS c:"

Whoa, guys, I didn't know this. David Tennant and Georgia Moffet have not officially confirmed their engagement, but she really WAS pregnant with his baby. Link. Maybe, at least? Probably? Awesome. (Past tense as in she gave birth, not past tense as in there was a problem.)
I can't help.
When people get distracted I hand them sugar and show them my collection of weird anarchist 'zines, so... can't help. But I'm here for you. :)
@Cherry: Mmmm. Yes, 11's playful spaztic energy really makes me smile. And the fez. And the bowtie.
Also. Tennant making a baby? What will the child be like?

Distraction is available. Colors, insomniac, at your service.
@all: This link contains images from DOTM. Also, it illustrates a point: look at Rory's arms when he runs! They're everywhere. Like floppy giant willow-tree whips dangling along searching for freedom.
