Does that mean that the Doctor's name is the dangerous secret? I mean, since his name would be the answer to the question, which is "Doctor who?" I'm just wondering what's so dangerous about his name, of all things.
It's not dangerous to himself (other than the fact that the Silents want to kill him)
"Silence must fall when the question is asked" refers to how the man who knows the dangerous secret must be silenced before he can tell it to anyone.
Therefore, since the question is "Doctor who?", then it only seems logical that the answer is his name.

So we also know that it wasn't his name that he whispered in River's ear. When does she find out his name, then? Because she did whisper it in Ten's ear!
And didn't they burn the Doctor's body? Even if it was just the robot, how did the people inside survive that?

"her past his future" she might not have whispered his name to him. That could be a possibilty since 10 didn't know who she was at all. I don't think the people in the robot survived but who knows.
Of course they did... because the Doctor was one of them, remember?

I just saw the episode, and in relation to your query about how he survived the fire, the Doctor said thaat he 'barely got singed in that thing' or something like that, so maybe him and the rest of the crew just waited until the boat-pyre-thing sank or whatever and escaped.

The Doctor keeps getting out of scrapes at the veeeeery last moment. Not sure I like how they handled him getting out of the death, actually. Maybe I am just bitter because the ganger theory didn't work out. :P

Went to visit my boy at his university again this weekend. He's now caught up all the way through "A Good Man Goes To War." Which is genius! Next, we'll be on to "Kill Hitler," but he won't get to see that until early November given school and our visiting schedule...
He's such a good man. I get to watch The Doctor with him and eat cheetos! :heart: I feel so spoiled!
This weekend, we actually converted two partying dames from next door to the idea of monogamy just by right of being cute, watching the Doctor and eating junkfood together. They insist, now, that they want boyfriends so that they can have someone with whom to watch One Tree Hill and eat cheeze-its. I laughed so hard.
There will be a Christmas special, so it won't be too long of a wait.

I don't know why I put off watching the last two episodes. @[email protected] I guess when you get caught up watching hundreds of 3 minute youtube videos, 45 minutes seems like a big commitment... even though I spend way more than that watching the videos. For those of you who, like me, frequently can't remember what was fact and what was speculation, I really recommend this Doctor Who wiki site. It's very extensively detailed, so you can use it to fact check the stuff you can't remember. I usually use it before making speculations or asking questions. Very helpful, especially where River is involved.
