Yeah, I tried to look it up, but no search engines seem to recognize whether there is an exclamation point or not. =/
A very nice lil' episode analysis that includes spoilers and therefore must be tucked away in here... Please do not overlook, though, for I am a lonely nerd who wishes to have others discuss the contents with me.X
A lot of people are complaining because WoM altered the Doctor's traditionally "godlike" character: he never makes mistakes or succumbs to emotional breakdowns. But I liked this episode. For one thing, it was a good illustration of how everyone goes a little psycho once in a while. Even the Doctor has a journey. Not to mention, he has been told his song is ending soon, and so far he's been doing his best to put it off (sending the regeneration energy into the hand, electrocuting the water monster before it could knock four times, etc). But he's realizing that he only has so much time. Another thing is that this episode was another example of why the Doctor needs someone 'to stop him" as Donna said. He needs a companion to bring him back to reality sometimes. (I'd be happy to volunteer :) )

Lol anyone of us would gladly volunteer xD
and the fact is he isn't a god, he is mortal and he can feel it
even a god I'm sure would freak if someone said their end was coming with four knocks.
Matt Smith seems like he would be doing a happy go lucky Doctor though, he gives off a Tom Baker feel a little. Just sort of smart goofy.
Funny you would say that, because many people are calling him "emo." haha. But then in his interviews he does not seem to be so. My hope is, he'll be a nice combination, a Doctor with many sides to his personality, like Ten. And from what I see in the interviews, it seems he will. :)
You know what I think?
I think some critic, who hasn't watched much Doctor to begin with, decided that Smith was going to be an emo Doctor because the critic saw a photo of Smith as Eleven, dressed up all in black with a wavy hair style and a dark background.
Not to mention that Moffat is writing for Eleven's tenure.
That's the first thing I saw on Smith. Some BBC journalist wrote that he's going to be all emo as Eleven, and the photo at the top of the article was that photo that I'm talking about: Smith all in black with a dark background.
I'm watching it right now, but it's kind of going slowly because this computer takes a minute or two to load, plus it keeps getting held up every time I get a new email (I've got Gmail up in a separate tab)
But I'm on part 5 right now.
It's intriguing, to think of what could happen, and waiting to see what will happen.
Okay, well when you're done, could you please read this? I'd like to see some other people's take on it, so we can discuss. lol ^_^

Definitely. I saw the previous posts, but I didn't respond to them because I didn't want to read any spoilers.
Ugh.
It's the worst part, waiting for them to load.
::goes off to beg for clicks on Magi::
I thought Donna would die if she ever was reminded about the Doctor.
#2: MindblowX
Wow.
Just.
He altered history!!!
Oh my god.
And yeah, it was . . . not good, seeing him go all psycho like that. I didn't like it. In my head, I just kept going, "No, no no no no no."
But yeah, I definitely liked it that they show the Doctor having human emotions and human fallibility. He's not a god, with a god's lack of emotions, let alone a god's ability to create life, and he certainly has no ability to clearly foresee the future, as Davies so beautifully illustrated in WoM.

Well, since it's on youtube now for anyone to see, I dont really see the need for the spoiler tags anymore....
Yeah, I know. That's why I tend to think she isn't going to remember... The Doctor has learned his lesson now and won't attempt anything of the sort. According to people who watched the filming from a distance and tried to tape it, there were a lot of scenes with Donna's grandfather. Not so many with Donna herself, though.
If you've ever seen The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, people made a big deal about Peter's character change as well. Personally I don't mind it. If heroes did not share our weaknesses, we wouldn't be able to relate to them as well. (So obviously that's why I like NBC's Heroes as well! haha)
I gotta tell you guys, I can REALLY close to having a dream about DW last night. It still hasnt quite happened, but I have to say, I kept waking up last night and the first thought in my head was the Doctor's "My death? 0_0" face and I just wanted to scream at someone or throw something. It's not easy seeing someone so awesome become to un-awesome. This was a very powerful episode, to say the least. :(
I was thinking maybe Donna going to see him do something and it will jog her memory. who noes though, they have soo many options plus, you know the whole Master thing!
lol I totally did have a dream about DW or at least the Doctor xD
Nothing dirty though >.> ..... unfortunately xDDD
It was really weird to.
And I just had the urge to say it:
There's an apple in my dressing gown?

Yeah definitely, like Martha calls him, he gets there and she's all like wtf?
You know what, I want to see The Rani come back, I haven't gotten a chance to see any of the old ones with her in it, but I bet that would be epic. The Master and The Rani return to wreak havoc.

There's going to be another Doctor Who segment on Children in Need on Friday (the 20th, so this Friday) and it sounds like it directly follows the end of Waters of Mars. It says it won't be online (iPlayer I assume) but I imagine someone will have it on youtube by the end of the week. XD
BBC Waters of Mars wallpapers... widescreen wallpaper = happy Katie but why isn't this pic from the preview gallery one of them? I just love that shot. Nearly all of the other ones are. :/
What's the name of the Children in Need special, do you know? So I can keep an eye out for it :)
I love the accent too. hahaha.... And the way that 2 of the 3 hosts are Scottish. As David said...
