If I want a vampire and a werewolf I'll have Mitchell and George thank you. Preferably at the same time. Better than a hobo and a plastic Action Man. XD

If everyone starts to think Tennant is American like they did for Hugh Laurie then that'll just be weird.

A hobo and a plastic action man!! hahahaha!

Well, i meant more that it'd be cool if there came a day when everyone in the U.S. knew who he was. xD

One of my friends thinks she's so different and unique for being Team The Other One rather than rpattz.

I'm not denying that Tennant being better known is a good thing. It was odd hearing him say that people in America didn't know who he was because I would just expect them too. ^^;

Eugh.
Snooki got roundly booed at the Philly wing bowl the night before the super bowl.
But yes. I agree.
Tennant > Snooki

Tennant >>>>> Pattinson

I heard about the punching, but I always assumed it was in one of the Jersey Shore episodes (never watched it), and therefore, fake.
So she really got punched? What for?

I only saw her on The Soup, they show the US version over here but they don't show half of the shows they feature on it.

I didn't know real people could be so orange.

They were at a boardwalk bar, and some guy took her drink when the bartender put it down on the counter.
So she started talking to the guy, saying that was hers, and next thing you know, she's lying flat on the floor and everyone's jumping on the guy.
It was real messed up.
Guys who do that for no good reason at all don't deserve to be called men.

And she's really not that orange. She's just really tan, she looks like someone from India.

She looks orange to me.

I just read that Anthony Stewart Head auditioned to be the Eighth Doctor. That would have been so cool. >.<

Thankfully, no. And she does have really gorgeous blue eyes.
She just needs to wash the mud off her face though, lol.

I read that there's just as much chance of dying in a car accident as it is dying in a bombing in Israel. It is risky because you never know when and where might be dangerous, but that is also the case, for example, in dodgy neighbourhoods in big cities elsewhere in the world where there might be drive-bys and shit like that. So I'm not too worried. We will have to look at visa stuff and whether we have to book them in advance. Our main problem is getting back, so far the cheapest flight I've found back is from Alexandria, for over £300.. which is too much, really. Sometimes you can get last minute flights cheap, but since we're going back just after Easter, I'd rather not risk getting stranded since there are a lot of people traveling then. Which is probably why the flights are so much more expensive..

Sorry about being slow to get back to you. Well, I've discovered that if I keep the heater running 24/7 and I stay under my comforter on my bed, I can actually stay warm. Thankfully my ethernet cord and power cord reach my bed, so I've got some entertainment between naps. There is a grocery store less than a two minute walk from my hotel, so I can easily get lots of bottled tea and snacks. I think it is starting to do the trick because I'm feeling like I might be starting to recover. I'd like to spend a little more time with the friend I came here to visit, and then I'll probably take the train to a new city in 3-4 days or so. After all, my friend won't be here much longer anyway because she has to return to work in another region of China, and there really is no point in sticking around without her because there is nothing to see at all in this city.

At least in America, last-minute flight deals have almost completely become a thing of the past. Buy any airline tickets you want as early as possible. One thing you could try doing though is searching online to see if any travel agencies (particularly those based in the middle east) can offer you a better price than what you can find yourself online. I know that in China, I have sometimes found airline tickets through a Chinese agency that were up to 40% off of what I could get through an online booking. Shop around a little, and good luck!

Hi there! I'm a fledgling Whovian (the 10th Doctor is my first Doctor) and I thought I'd stop by and say hello. I kind of got my introduction to Doctor Who all at once when they were doing the Doctor Who marathon on BBC America for the Waters of Mars special and then the End of Time parts 1 and 2. It was condensed Doctor Who in a can!

Ugh at orange people. It's so hideous. >.<

Good to hear you're managing to stay warm, Zen. And your reply is right on time, I just got back from the hospital, hah. They thought they were going to have to operate on my ankle, which would've meant at least six weeks in a cast, which would've meant I probably would've had to change my travel plans. But then they found out they didn't (on my third day of staying at the hospital) and so I'll "only" be in a cast for about three weeks and then it should be healed. Woopee.
Hmm, I'll have a look at travel agencies, thanks for the tip! I just google for travel agencies, Middle East?

To be entirely honest, Lostin, I think most of them. I'm fairly sure I saw all of Rose Tyler and Martha Jones' episodes but I think I only saw most of Donna's. I didn't catch the second part of the library planet episode with the monsters in the dark. It's kind of frustrating because that's the episode I want to see the most but, hey, at least I got to see the season finale. My partner and I watched the Graham Norton Show when the actors were guests and the specials for the finale too. If it wasn't for my in-laws DVR I don't think we could have done it. We just went through and set any episode we hadn't seen already to record.

I was really upset by what they did to Donna at the end. I mean if Rose got to hold the power of the TARDIS then why couldn't Donna contain the essence of the Time Lords and retain her memories? But I'm new to the fandom, so.

Good thought, there! Youre thinking like a Whovian already xD
The thing is, Rose could not hold onto the TARDIS powers for long. Thats why the Doctor had to kiss her (as a sort of transfer, haha). You'll notice the yellow light in Rose's eyes went into his eyes. Thats why he was dying and had to regenerate.

Ahah, I see. That's not a bad method of transfer if you ask me.

Is it common for Companions to travel with two "different" Doctors? I haven't seen any of the previous Doctors so I'm curious about how the 10th Doctor is different from the others.
