Matt Smith definitely brings it to the part. I found myself laughing out loud at him. I loved Eleventh Hour, and I can't wait for the rest of the season! X3

Just finished watching the Eleventh Hour. Matt Smith hasn't quite managed to endear me to him yet, which is probably due to the fact that he is just getting warmed up (new Doctor and all), and how I'm still missing Tennant so much. The whole-season preview at the end of the episode certainly had more than enough to intrigue me though.

The new credits, while not bad, doesn't have the same memorizing effect as the old ones. Also could have done without the distasteful food scene at the beginning. Overall the episode was pretty lively, but was probably one of the most predictable Doctor Who episodes I've seen. I detect more than a few hints of Amy's attraction to the Doctor - not sure yet if that is just the "mystery man from my childhood" syndrome, or if it is going to be deeper. Not really looking for another "companion dumps boyfriend to be with Doctor" storyline, so I hope she stays true to whats-his-name . . . . if she even manages to arrive back in the same decade that she left! Given this new Doctor's absentmindedness, it wouldn't completely surprise me if poor little Amy went back to find her boyfriend was already an old man with grandkids.
