Has anyone here picked up this tittle yet? I kinda really want to but I need my boss to call and say we got another house to brick before i can xD I played the demo o 3o it's new and interesting and really surprising from EA in my opinion xD i think of it kinda like modern Prince of Persia in first person view where you wanna avoid combat at all costs xD

I've been really intrigued by Mirror's Edge since I first read about. And i'm not usually into those types of games, though I have heard that it may be a bit of a sub-genre unto itself. And it did get a pretty good review in Game Informer.
Too bad I don't have a next-gen console. :(

i don't either xD i use my friend's who lives in the basement o 3o I are poor xD
Yeah it kinda is it's own sub genre, since a game like this has never really been attempted before xD I'm sure they'll be plenty of knock offs and attempts to copy the formula now though xD

I don't have a clue what it's like, as I haven't played it, sorry.
My mum's fiance had to play it a while ago in order to review it, and had a hard time if I remember rightly, as he wasn't too keen on the game - he found bits here and there were good and not so good and so on. He wasn't given much time though, so couldn't really get an in-depth look at it I'd imagine. I'll try to remember to ask him in detail when he comes up on Friday, and post in here then.

I have it, it's a very great game, however it's very short, and some of the challenges involve speed runs meaning trying to complete the game as fast as possible, and with only about 8 missions, it probably has about 7+ Hours of gameplay max. So, I'd rent it if I were you if you're thinking of getting it, unless you like the fact that you own the game, then it's still a worthy purchase. :3

My friends Nick and Tim say this game is intense. I guess you jump around a lot, and shit happens constantly.
I suggest you don't play if you have epilepsy then...

I heard the dialouge was kinda sucky, but I've never played it so I wouldn't know.

Ahh, I love this game~ Its can get really frustrating, and like Ayx said it's short but oh so fun~
I found the levels challenging and the gameplay very unique. It gets frustrating when you die a 20+ times on a level because you can't quite figure out where to go, or those pesky police/security officers kill you again. e_e; I'm really stubborn though, so eventually I got through everything eventually. My current fixation is trying to find all the hidden packages, and then do the time challenges.
The plot was a bit weak, though it doesn't matter too much because of the pace of the game. Also the controls are a bit counterintuative. After playing other games for a while, and then comming back to Mirror's Edge, I find myself needing a few minutes to remember exactly how to do everything. While I'm critiquing, the acheivements are quite random. o_O Its not such a big deal to me, since I don't pay attention to my gamer score but to others it might matter...*shrug*
I love the soundtrack~! The unlockables are nice as well, since they pretty much all have comments by the developers. :3
All in all, I found the game enjoyable~ Its far from perfect, but it wins a lot of points in being so different from most games. I am definatly looking forward to what other companies will do in responce to this game!

I gave a copy to my Fiance' for Christmas, I'm actually watching him play right now, which is a real experience into and of itself. He's gotten to the fourth level or so, with a lot of splatting. X_X

I have this game and I love it. It has much more than 7 hours of game play. The story mode alone takes 3-6 hours. After that you can do the time trials. The time trials are insanely great. You can just do them once and get them out of the way, but if you really want to work at it you can try for the expert times and that can takes days of mastery. It is really hard to get the expert times on the levels. You have to do some really tricky moves and figuring out how to get to places faster is crazy. I could spend DAYS just trying to figure out how to shave a few more seconds off my time for a level.

Mirror's edge seems like a free running game, in some aspects.
coming from EA this is very different

I played it, and I thought the game was rather unique, and pretty good on it's own. Now, apparently, it didn't sell so well, so a sequel to it might not happen.

Mirror's Edge was fun and exciting! I just wished it didn't end so abruptly.
And the replayability wasn't so good. As soon as you finish it, that's it. I don't long to play it again for some strange reason.
Heh.. I'm just proud to have the same shoes the protagonist has. *struts proudly*
