Jacob frowned and held onto Ashley trying to comfort him. He was worried not for himself but for Ashley, it was something he felt he was bound to get with his job but he'd been lucky each time he realized no protection was being used when he asked for it. He'd get the test done each time.

"It'll take about a month for everything a proximately," Jacob said with a small sigh stroking a hand over Ashley's back. "Obviously I'd sleep .. but not until I know the appointments are booked.. I want to take you to the doctors tomorrow get you checked over. They can't draw the blood until at least two weeks yet.. until whatever indicator they look for has time to manifest if you do have it.. After that it can take two weeks for it to actually be looked at after drawn.."

He didn't want to admit it but he was scared, his talking about it didn't slow until he realized he'd told Ashley everything that the doctor would have - in less Latin terms. His arms tightened around Ashley, he didn't want to let the man go.

Jacob's hold did comfort him, but Ashley was still terrified. A month of waiting? Tears streaked his face and he gave a small shudder, wrapping his arms around Jacob and clutching at his shirt tighter as he leaned in against him.

"I-I'm sorry." He choked out, curling up. "I didn't know--I wasn't thinking--" He wasn't sure what to say, he was scared, so scared.

He nodded after a moment, biting his lower lip faintly, absently as he tried to gather his thoughts. "Then.. tomorrow... we'll go... I dunno.. if I can promise I'll get all day away from work though. I'm... my position is already unstable." He whispered the last, swallowing thickly. "I... Jacob...? What.. if I do.. have it? What happens then..?"

"Sh.. No need to apologize," Jacob murmured rubbing Ashley's back gently turning his head to kiss Ashley's forehead. He realized he should have gotten Ashley to rinse out his mouth with mouthwash, he wouldn't admit it to Ashley but he was worried that there were still remnants of blood on Ashley's lips, or his mouth that if they kissed.. Closing his eyes he pushed the thoughts back. "You did what you had to, to keep yourself from being raped.. No one's going to blame you for that."

Jacob gave a small nod hoping that Ashley could get off of work, hoping it wouldn't risk the man his job. He kissed Ashley's forehead again, knowing the man was worried. A month was a long time to wait when worrying over such a disease. Jacob knew the worry himself, but he wasn't going to let Ashley worry about it alone.

"There's medicine you'll have to take daily, I'm not certain entirely what else.. You'd have to have routine check ups and that.." Jacob murmured looking down at him with a sad expression. "We'll have to start using protection until we know for certain.."

"You won't go through with this alone.." Jacob told him holding him a bit tighter as if to prove his point. "Even if you do have it.. I won't leave you alone.. I promise."

He leaned in to press his lips again to that spot on his forehead, knowing he was just doing it because he was scared. "But until we know for certain, aside from the protection... Let's not focus on if's.."

Ashley listened intently to what Jacob said, knowing it was best if he focused his mind on his owrds rather than his own thoughts. He hoped he wouldn't have it, he couldn't imagine having the fear of infecting his lover for the rest of his life.

"Thank you." He whispered out as Jacob told him he'd never abandon him because of it. It calmed him so much more as he relaxed agaisnt his lover's body. He nodded when Jacob told him not to focus on the 'what if's' so much, knowing he'd only drive himself insane if he did. "I.. I ... want to wash my mouth." He managed out after amoment. "I can still.. taste his blood, I don't want.. to.." He rubbed at hsi face with his good hand, his other still cut open by the man's teeth, but no longer bleeding. It ached, long forgotten because of the new fear of infection.

"I still want to watch a movie too." He pouted. He'd probably fall asleep during it at this point, but he didn't mind. At least it would be good time spent with his lover. He was so tired of crying!

"Alright, I'll help you to the bathroom so you can wash out your mouth and then you can choose the movie," Jacob said with a small smile shifting to help Ashley up. He didn't think he could successfully carry him again with his leg, but they should be able to get there fine with him supporting Ashley.

He made slow progress to the bathroom, remaining beside Ashley to keep him up as he washed out his mouth. He watched Ashley sadly, he wished Ashley didn't have to through with this at all. He should have been watching him, making certain the man was safe. Perhaps he should have brought Ashley up first and then returned.. He was so stupid!

Ashley tried not too put much weight on his leg but tired to keep from relying completely on his lover's support. He washed his mouth out, watching the remnants of the blood wash down the drain. He washed the sink out, rinsed his mouth out with just water, and then rinsed again before his hand got similar rinsing treatment. The cuts from the man's teeth had been pretty deep, his knuckles were purple and swollen.

"Do... you have anything to treat my hand?" He didn't want to leave his wound uncovered if he had something so devastating to worry about. He wouldn't risk the chance of having the disease and accidentally spreading it to his lover because of the cuts on his hand.

"Oh! Yeah.. sorry," Jacob mumbled biting his lip, he didn't know where his brains had gone. He knocked the lid and seat down on the toilet so he could sit Ashley down without having to worry about him falling. Opening the small cabinet behind the mirror he pulled out antiseptic and cotton swabs, wanting to clean the wounds out properly. He bit his lip wondering what would be successful, to cover the wounds.

Pulling out both the gauze and band-aids, he set the items on the side of the sink. Kneeling down in front of Ashley he wet the cotton swabs with the antiseptic and gently dabbed the wounds, knowing no matter how gentle he went the stuff would sting he winced in sympathy for Ashley. "Mm.. what do you think would be best to cover these?"

Ashley watched him as he sat on the seat of the toilet, waiting for him to get the things out and start cleaning off his hand. He tried so hard to blink away tears that formed as he felt the antiseptic get to work on his wounds, fingers twitching and his good hand fisted up some of the fabric of his jeans.

"Mph... P-probably.. the bandages." He stated gently, they were on his knuckles so it'd be best to use something flexible.

"Sorry.. I know it stings.." Jacob murmured apologetically, although it wasn't his fault that the stuff stung. He finished up quickly though, throwing the swabs in the small garbage pail. Grabbing the box of bandages he opened it, pulling out a few and began to stick them to Ashley's hand making certain the cotton part covered the wounds on his knuckles.

Throwing the paper from the bandages away he pressed a gentle kiss to the top of Ashley's hand. "All done."

Standing he put the items away and washed his hands, before helping Ashley to the couch again and went to collect all the movies he could find under the makeshift tv stand. Setting the movies on the table for Ashley to see all of them. "Your pick."

Ashley blushed as Jacob kissed the top of his hand and used the unbandaged one to wipe tears from his eyes. "Thank you." He whispered, and while he wanted to kiss his lover, he felt uncomfortable doing so for the moment.

He allowed Jacob to help him to the couch, sitting there and then looking through the movies curiously. He wasn't really sure, but he picked something that looked like it would be a good, light-hearted movie, maybe it would cheer him up. "I think... this one looks good." He'd not watched a movie in a long time, didn't own any at home, nor did he own anything to play them on. Picking it up, he handed it off to Jacob to put it in, still sitting there, waiting for him to come back so they could get comfortable.

Half of the titles on the table Jacob didn't even know he had. Knowing it was Alex who bought them. Looking at Ashley's selection he nodded and slipped the disc within the player and returned to Ashley's side as he started the movie.

Wrapping his arm around Ashley's shoulders he leaned in to press another kiss to Ashley's cheek. He planned to try relax and enjoy the movie with his lover and try to forget the scare for now.

Ashley smiled faintly as Jacob joined him and kissed his cheek. "I love you." He whispered gently, leaning into him as they started up the movie. He felt a little better already, just knowing his companion was there to support him.

As the movie continued to play, Ashley did seem to lighten up and relax. It wasn't entirely because he felt better, but he was worn out both mentally and physically. Ash's body slumped against Jacob's as he fell asleep, his breathing shallowing out and he'd tipped his head just right to avoid pressing his slightly bruised forehead and cheek into his lover, knowing it would only ache more if he did.

"I love you too," Jacob whispered back his thumb gently stroking where it could reach as he focused on the movie.

As the time passed he felt the man's weight slump more against him, with a small chuckle he glanced down at the sleeping man. His eyes returned to the movie, part of his mind couldn't stop worrying about Ashley as he watched. He couldn't stand the thought of having to wait a month, it seemed worse than when he had the scare himself.

When the movie was over he shut everything off and lifted Ashley up and carried him to bed, trying not to wake him. He lay him down and gently removed his clothes so the man would be comfortable.

Ashley didn't wake when he was picked up and brought to bed, making a soft noise at the movement but he seemed fast asleep as Jacob placed him in the bed. When he felt his clothes coming off though, Ashley gasped and his eyes fluttered open, looking startled until his two-toned gaze focused on his lover. "J-Jacob.." He sounded relieved. Maybe he'd had a nightmare?

His cheeks flushed softly and he looked around, realizing he was in the bedroom now. "Sorry... I guess I fell asleep." He murmured.

"Sorry.." Jacob murmured noticing the slightly panicked expression and frowned folding the clothes and setting them to the side as he looked at Ashley apologetically he was trying not to wake the other man. "I trying not to wake you.."

He leaned to kiss Ashley gently and he shook his head, ridding himself of his clothes and laying down next to him. He wasn't planning to go to sleep at all but he wanted to hold onto Ashley as the other man slept.

Ashley shook his head at the apology and he shifted to return the gentle kiss. He watched Jacob undress and blushed softly, moving to curl into the man as he laid beside him. At first he wondered if he'd felt more comfortable clothed, but feeling thw warmth of Jacob's body was so nice against his skin.

He fought off the natural reaction he had to his lover being so close, giving his shoulder a gentle kiss before resting the side of his face he'd not bruised against him.

Jacob's hand brushed over Ashley's skin lightly making small patterns with his fingers. Holding Ashley close he smiled at the minimalist amount of reactions from Ashley. Kissing his forehead lightly Jacob relaxed against Ashley's body.

"Sleep well," Jacob whispered smiling at him. He knew his mind would be worrying all night, if only to keep him awake.

Ashley hadn't wanted to fall asleep and leave Jacob awake all on his own. He wanted to be there with him and spend time together, but he couldn't keep his eyes open. The younger man was soon fast asleep once more, and wouldn't wake again until someone actually woke him up.

His dreams were filled with dread for the month that would follow this night, and he woke with an uneasy stomach when it was time to get up.

Jacob remained with him all night, not wanting to let his lover go. As the time came to wake the other, it was with a guilty conscience. He leaned forward to kiss his love gently. "Ash.."

Ashley made a noise of protest, he didn't want to get up, but the kiss was sweet and he opened his eyes slowly to it. "I.. I don't want to." He whispered faintly, knowing thye'd have to get things set up now. It all felt too real now, he didn't want to even find out when the test results did come in.

He knew he was already late for work, he wondered if Andrew had gotten there? He imagined he had calls from people on his phone, he'd never called in the ngith before, but maybe he'd at least get half the day off. "I should ... probably call work. I forgot to last night. Mhn.. "

"I know.. but it's gotta be done," Jacob said in a quiet voice stroking Ashley's side again. He gave a sad smile and gave another kiss to those lips and gave a small nod. "Mm.. alright."

Ashley relaxed under the petting and pressed his lips gently into the kiss. He then sat up and shifted to slide over to the edge of the bed in search of his pants for his phone, pulling it out as he realized it was ringing. "...Hello?" He said as he answered it; it was Andrew's office, he wasn't there without word, he was sure they were about to shit themselves if it wasn't Andrew calling himself.

Jacob sat up stretching a bit hoping that Ashley would not get into any trouble. Biting his lip he stood up to allow Ashley some privacy on the phone, but at the same time use the washroom. Stretching some as he walked out the door of the bedroom still fully undressed he did his business and washed up before returning to the bedroom.

Ashley spoke on the phone briefly and managed to get some sort of agreement down for work. He hung up as Jacob came back from the bathroom, looking up at him with half of a smile. "I... got part of the day off... but... I.. I have to be there by 2." He said after a moment, rubbing his arm gently.

"Did uh.. you bring my crutch up last night?" He asked, chewing on his lower lip. He couldn't very well get around without it yet.

"That's enough time at least.." Jacob said looking at the clock on the bedside table. He made a face though at the mention of the crutch and gave a small sigh. He knew he had forgot something! He hoped it would still be downstairs, what could someone want with a crutch?

"I'll get dressed and go get it.." Jacob said heading to his dresser, pulling out pants and a t-shirt. Slipping them on he looked at Ashley. "You need help getting dressed first?"

He was teasing mostly, but he would help the man if he asked for it. "Or perhaps aid to the washroom?"
