Mmh lemme think... >,< I pretty much almost never have story ideas. I can sometimes develop one once I really start thinking about it, but I have to get the ball rolling before I can get anywhere at all. As far as what you've already got up there on the lists... The ones that stand out/appeal the most are angst, steampunk, and fantasy in general. I'm usually better with medieval stuff, but I'm open to whatever. Modern's probably my weakest, but I'm not completely incapable...
Hmm vampires... yeah, stupid Twilight made vampires into a rather annoying subject if you play with the wrong people. I'm more of a traditional vampire type... though there's lots of different particular aspects to consider there as well.
Random thing that might be interesting (though perhaps not entirely suiting for only two people) is a sort of almost underground organization, mafia, gang, assassins sort of thing? Just a random thought though. -shrugs- That could just about work for any setting I suppose... Modern or sci-fi might make it more interesting though...
Now I'm rambling though. >,<
Something similar that I've done in the past is like royalty/important person x kidnapper/assassin sort of person who's supposed to do something to that person... -isn't making sense- That might be like overly-cliche though. xD

Hrm.... I dunno, I don't really feel like steampunk at the moment.
And honestly, vampires were annoying as hell before Twilight. Why? Because people are idiots. >.<;;
I have my own set of vampire rules. No, mine don't necessarily die in the sun, but still... I like my rules much better, they seem more original than how everyone else plays them.
Kidnapper x Kidnapped is... Eh. Possibly something to try in the future. But right now it doesn't really appeal to me.

Hi. |D
I'm here to propose a fantasy thief roleplay, because I lack any idea on how to word it otherwise. :3 Um... I'm sure there's something else I should say, but my cold-addled in need of food brain just can't quite grasp what it is, so. o_o My apologizes.

I think so, yes. :3
It's pretty much a thief roleplay set a fantasy world. :3 The characters I'd be using know some magic, but it's limited to one specific type and only a few spells in that type- just wanted to get that out of the way. XD; What kind of details are you looking for? :3

Okay, sounds good. :3
Normally I go with magic being an inherited thing. If someone isn't related to magic use by blood, they can't use magic. :3 Depending how far back in the bloodline it is also determines how strong the users magic is. For example, A's great grandmother was a magic user, so A doesn't have as strong of magical powers as B, who's father is a magic user. :3

Ah, I understand. ^_^
So, are there certain things that are off-limits? I mean, I naturally make some things off-limits, but I wanted to know what you'd default as off-limits.

Umm, not really, no. o: It depends on where the roleplay will take place. :3 If it's taking place where my characters are, there's gonna be places like the king's palace that are off limits, or the thief city depending on your characters history. |D; If it's a random world, then I'm not sure.
As far as certain thins that are off limits... I'm not too sure. o:

Well, like, I have it so you can't kill a dragon with the flick of your wrist, etc. That your magical abilities have to be strong enough, and they have to work in a way that would be realistic if magic were to really exist. I don't believe that any power can be void of limitations.
If that makes any sense.
I don't know about the world your characters are in, so if you could tell me about it, I'd appreciate it. ^^;;

Ah, sure! o: Hmm.... Well, the time line that the thieves are in is sort of midway between 'dark age' and 'modern age,' if that helps any/ makes any sense. XD;

So basically... Steampunk? XD I'm not really in the mood for steampunk at the moment, but you already caught my attention. Let's see if you can sell it all the way.
I'd like more details about your world. Like... Are there many magic users? Mythical/mystical beings? Is the world fruitful or barren? Things like that. XD

Kiiinda steampunk, I guess. XD They don't really have much in the way of technology yet, though.
They have typical mythical and magical beasts- Dragons, Centaurs, Driders, Drow, demons, angels, fairies, mermaids, naga, gargoyles, the works. :3 Some, like unicorns, gargoyles, demons and angels, are more rare then other, like dragons, naga and elves. It's a fruitful world, but some parts of it tend to lean more towards barren, like in the mountains. Magic users.... it's kind of hit and miss for them. Some areas there are lots of magic users, others they're really rare. :3

Hey you! Here goes trying again, no?
I'm almost wondering if we ought to overhaul and try something completely new? I'm thinking something along the lines of a fantasy roleplay about servants to some manner of royalty or nobles? Kind of like what goes on behind closed doors, like the servants knowing all kinds of dark secrets of the house and uncovering plots and corruption, things of that nature. I wouldn't necessarily want it to be limited to servants- court musicians, entertainers, groundskeeprs, anything and everything that might work for royalty or nobility.
Am I making any sense, and does that idea even appeal to you at all? Or would you prefer something else, or for us to have an RP similar to what we had before? ^^;

Lathrine: It's fine if you don't want to do romance. I was just afraid that if it was going to end up as romance that you'd try to stick me with het. Cricky no like het. >.<;;
Iltu: I was thinking of doing a whole new idea, too. After all, I've been unable to manage a post in our old roleplay for quite a while. Though I'm not sure if I like your suggestion or not. Care to go into more detail? What sort of plots and such did you have in mind?
Silver: Well, it depends on what setting we're starting in. If we're jumping straight into the classroom, I'd like to start. If starting elsewhere, I don't mind if you start.
What do we need to set in stone at the moment? Do we need to go over more details first before we start?

Yeah, maybe we should work out some guidelines, etc.
Maybe some more about the city/school?
But it's nothing of titan importance, mostly small details. XD
I'm a stickler for those. X___X
And I have no qualms about you starting. o:

Oh, how to explain… Setting-wise, I’m thinking a sort of Vienna in the 1800’s-style place, where budding technology is more relied on, but magic is still a pretty significant part of life. As far as plot goes, I was thinking of royals with all kinds of secrets—things like this or that son not wanting to marry the woman he’s been arranged to marry due to a man that he’s in love with, or perhaps the queen cheating on her husband, or a prominent advisor dabbling in slave trades—not those situations exactly, just secrets of that nature.
And then the roleplay its self centering on the servants of this royal or noble family who piece together all of these secrets and either use them to their advantage or keep them well.
I’m sorry if it doesn’t make much sense, or if it sounds incredibly idiotic. I just enjoy books about corruption and the clandestine business of high society families, so I thought I might as well suggest a roleplay about the same thing. :> Does that strike your fancy, or shall we think of something else?
