Not everyone uses the same gender avatar, either. Seiki Nova uses a female avatar, but is in fact, a guy. XD

I don't see how that can be new, people do it all the time on avatar websites, and have done it for a long time. XD

It's alright. XP

And even then, you said 'Mrs. Cricket'. If you don't know if a woman is married or not, you say 'Miss'. 'Mrs.' is for married women. XD

:offtopic: Actually- if you don't know if a woman is married it would be better to say Ms.

Miss implies unmarried :P

Hello it sounds like you've read a book or more by a certian aurthor that I love. How you are discribing your vampire is similar to a character in The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare. I'm not saying that that is what your character is based off of, even though it'd be cool. But I'd love to try out a role play with you. Dont worry about me throwing a 'Bella' on you cause I wont. I loved the books and the movie but that's enough no need to roleplay it or anything similar to it. I prefer to play as a female, I've tempted to be literate/ semi literate with a male character and have failed many times. But here is a example of my Role play skills.

Writing example:
Maria watched as his complextion had changed from normal to red then white. She bit the inside of her cheek to keep her composure up. If she hadn't of done that she too would have blushed when he did. She didnt know if he really wanted to be endowed to her or not. Espeically with the offer he gave to her before he knew it was her.

She wouldn't mind having him as only hers, but then... hadn't she always wish for that? She silently chuckled to herself as she saw his nervous grin. 'Father doesn't have to find out' she thought silently to herself as she still watched him, thinking of the things that could be running through the mans head right this moment. She raised a brow at the first set of words he said that was followed by a blush right afterwards. Maria did like to see him when he blushed, it made him look more like a normal human than one who was so hard core.

When he finally took a seat on the ground she smiled a bit. "As for me bein the end of you Aiden..." she said softly, coming to sit next to him as if nothing important was going on, "I doubt that to be true." She reached up, hesitating a little before continuing, and turned his face towards him. Even with touching him she could feel her heart start to beat faster. It seemed more like he was going to be the end of her. Looking into his eyes a moment, Maria smiled "Trust me..." she said in a bit of a whisper, "I'm not a little snapdragon anymore"

I've a thread that holds all my character information. They can be changed to be completely human if you so wish. Here is a link to my thread with my characters on it.

Uhm... An rp sample? One with Rez or one with a random character? I don't know...

but uhm... I have an rp going in the one on one forum.... You can read over that [link]...

And here be thing written off the fly:
Looking at the kid sitting on a street corner, no one really gives him a second glance. The red curly hair although unusual, is not what strangers would find interesting. They only saw his threadbare clothes, duck taped clothes, and eyes immediately looked back up avoiding his eyes. He only smiled at the people on the street. Giving a small chuckle as he strummed chords on the guitar strings and started to hum some nonsensical tune.

The chords soon had a pattern repeating through it, becoming a refrain, a verse, and finally a song was born. As the song kept on playing, people began to take a look. Stopping and watching as long calloused fingers moved across the frets, and strings with eyes closed he kept on humming those nonsensical words. It was when his humming became singing did people actually stop.

Piercing through the sound of roaring cars, and babbling people, was such a pure emotion of sound. It was innocent, it was passionate, it exposed so many raw and pure emotions it seemed to fit that it came from a face just as young. With eyes just as pure and unclouded. Resmida lived through music. He made his existence known by playing just like this on the corner of a street.

He enjoyed the looks of joy upon the people's faces, enjoyed the feeling of ease he had just created. It would be over though... as they return back into the world and the noise of the city. But, at least he had made them happy, even if it was only while he played his song.

Duh. I totally knew that but kinda was wondering if Ms. was a shorter version of Miss 'cause I got a little confused. XD

The 'duh' was directed at myself, by the way.

And weren't we going to start a roleplay? I can't remember which one of us were going to start it, I just remember teacher x student and I don't know if we got much farther than that. >.<;;

I'm very super sorry about forgetting that. Forgive ze Cricket?

Aria: I've never heard of that author, or that book. ^^;; See, my usual vampires tend to be more demonlike, but Jada is different. (His name is pronounced Jay-duh.) So I was forced to create a new universe for him so he could be himself and my other vampires wouldn't torment him for being more humanlike than they are.

Your sample is definitely interesting. I have to say, it's a bit odd considering you're playing both characters but you only write the dialogue for one of them. It makes it seem like there's a hole there - she's replying to something that hasn't been said so far as the reader can see.

Tripleb: Hrm. My main problem with your sample is that it feels almost like a godmode, the way you say nobody rather than most people. It makes it seem like your partner isn't left much of a choice as to how to act upon passing your character.

Get what I mean?

hmm... sorry?

I guess I have never seen it a problem before. Then again I have not had a chance to really develop anything with Resmida so... my style with him is... odd...

I'm sorry though if my choices in words are not acceptable. I just typed it up and did not read through it, so if it lessens my chances, -shrugs- I'm fine with that.

I didn't say it lessened your chances, I was simply pointing out that your choice in words made it feel like if I were to reply in character that you've limited the reactions my character my have to yours. That's all.

here is a link to where that role play was being done at. Its on gaia, my name on there is the same as here. When I have a really good roleplay partner I can do perfectly fine with a reply. And just to let you know I'm not usually on during the weekends unless my brother is gone to work. like he is now.

We were tossing the idea around - I think I had sent you a PM with a quick character sketch of who I was thinking of playing and you never got back to me if he fit with your thoughts on how you wanted to RP to go.

I'm not too worried - we all forget stuff sometimes ;)

Actually - I need to find that PM, I forget what I wrote 0_o

I probably still have it. I'll have to check to date to see why I'd forgotten about it. If it's around the time I think it might've been, I know exactly why I forgot.

Lemme dig for it. If I still have it, I'll forward it to you. ^_^

When I wrote up the sample, I was just thinking this as an intro. It should be easy for a character to come in... and start something... Or not start something. I mean, just because a crowd is gathering on the street doesn't mean you would stop with the crowd.

I should probably watch that though...

Well... What is godmoding to you? To me it is making another character (that isn't yours) actively do something that would harm them, or make them seem out of character. I admit I may be lax in watching for this, because I have been comfortably rping with just a small group of people and we know each other, and our characters very well that... what we do write might not seem like godmoding to us.

Does that make sense? I'm sorry if it doesn't ^^;;

Tripleb: Well, it's just when you say such things as 'everybody' that tends to include your partner's character should they be in the area.

I really wouldn't mind things like that if it weren't for a lot of idiots I had to deal with back when I was running an inn on Gaia. I loved that inn a lot, but we had people who would come in and turn the bartender into an NPC when he was really my character and wasn't even in the room, they kept putting a couch in the main bar area and would scream at me about 'what kind of a bar doesn't have a couch' and such (the answer is all bars, save for the bar and lounge type). Along with a lot of other things.

So I've grown to really hate such wide-area effecting descriptions, simply from really bad experiences in the past.

Princess Cupcake: I'm sorry if I gave you the impression that I'm not interested. We were going to roleplay my vampire idea, right?

All I ask is that you please use a darker font color, yours is very bright. @[email protected]

No I would not do that. I understand how frustrating that type of rping is. I would never take control of your character unless I was given permission by you, and I expect the same courtesy.

So if you want we can start rping whatever idea you want.

And don't worry about my font color, this is only for when I'm not RPing. :)

Sorry for being gone so long. There are just sometimes that I don't feel very talkative and I stick to a few threads and that's about it. Those are usually roleplays.

Siaasgn: I'm working on a reply to the roleplay you started.

Tripleb: You can go ahead and start the roleplay if you'd like.

Princess Cupcake: You were wanting to play a vampire hunter, am I right?

Aria Maria: No offense, but if you randomly drop capital letters while roleplaying like you do posting in here, then I'm not really sure I wanna roleplay with you, because that just drives me up the wall when roleplaying with people.

And I did state in the first post of this thread that I want people to be as literate in here as they are in roleplaying.

Also, from what I've read of your characters, they're rather... Well, let's just say I believe they would score a bit high on a certain litmus test. You seem to rely somewhat heavily on overused images for your characters' appearances, and it just feels to me like it takes away a good-sized chunk of originality.

Now it's one thing to use several pictures and say, "This looks kinda like that, but not entirely, it looks more like THIS from THIS image," and then expand beyond what even the images can show. But you don't even do that. You just find an image and use it.

Yeah... I don't really like roleplaying like that, and I don't like having partners that do that. It just really takes away the originality of it all.

It's fine. On some days, I do that too. I'm rather sad today, my iPod died on me, and it's my tool to my sanity. T.T But I got the money for a new one, so it's all good. :)

I despise Twilight and all the idiots who think it's the greatest thing ever to roleplay. No. It's not. They need to grow brains.

The Twilight fanbase is outright frightening. Not because it's so large (which is a little sad, considering the books are horribly written), but because they're so violent and defensive over the books. It doesn't make a difference if you tell them in a civil manner that you don't like the books, or if you threaten to mutilate their entire family, they'll react in the exact same violent, screaming, immature, logic-lacking way.

It's extremely rare to find a fan of the books who you can inform that you don't like the books who won't freak out on you. (I know that sentence was lacking proper structure, but really I couldn't think of any other way to write it that didn't seem even more structurally confusing.)

I enjoyed Twilight a little bit before it got all weird. I mean, I read the books and saw the 1st movie, my friend gave me the soundtrack. But I am sooo not obsesive. Twilight now is just a waste of time. It's rather sad, actually.

My latest obsession is Harry Potter. I just love those books.

I read Harry Potter ages ago. I loved it, then JKR's writing started going down the drain a bit. I'm still a fan of the books, but I hated the seventh book, and I gave up around the end of it because I was just sick of it.

But Harry Potter is a much better obsession than Twilight, though really shouldn't be obsessed over. ^^;;
