"why is that? we need hope in this world, that is what is keeping me going. The hope of find what is doing the call and then stopping it." Engel yelled at her and then walked right threw the war zone. He did not get hit with one snowball at all and then disappered into the whiteness of the snow fall.

"Peut-etre, Engel. Peut-etre vous etes correct. Mas, je ne pense pas alors..." She sighs, but walks the way home in silence.
In her little world, promises were something not to be taken lightly, and saying something you didn't intend to follow was wrong.
Hope was for the weak, the dying, the depressed, the afraid.
She refused to let something as betraying and disappointing as hope into her life.

When Engel was out of sight he turned into his real form, a Gryphon. Then flew off into the forest and went hunting for a little animal like a bird. Hope was all he had since his parents where gone and had no friends.

She sat outside of the burger joint, pulling her scarf out and wrapping it around her neck. She happily sat there eating 1 of her 2 burgers as people looked at her funny before walking in. She couldn't help it. She's rather be outside than in while eating. Werewolves may have been the friends of humans but she was still a hungry half wolf. And hungry wolves were never really receptive to anything. She wondered if she should go home or just....wander around town. She was bored, tired...lonely. She really needed a friend outside of the pack. "Oye vay...this is turning into a depressing day."

Engel had no luck in finding a bird and flew back to the city. He found hie favorite burger place and turned back into his human form. He walked in and saw a girl eating a burger. She smiled funny but he was to hunny to find out what species she was and went and ordered a burger

She stopped eating as she smelled feathers. She watched the newest newcomer as he walked in to get a burger. Well this was interesting. She unwrapped the second burger and happily munched. So far she had run into a male purebred werewolf, a human and now some kinda bird thing....her day couldn't get any more interesting. She yawned a little, lacking manners as she still had some food in her mouth but right now...she probably didn't care. She blinked the sleep tears from her eyes and continued her food.

Engel took his burger and sat in the seat next to the girl and ate like a savage. He did not care how many people where watching he was just happy to get his minde off of school. But every once in a while he let his eyes slip to the girl in the seat next to him.

Well this was uncomfortable. Not only was the bird who had a faint feline smell sitting next to her. His eating habits were atrocious. She caught his eyes peeking at her and smiled. "Hello."

"hey" he said as he continued to eat his burger. He then looked up at her and smiled.

She fiddled with the burger paper wondering if she should get another 2. "I hope I'm not being rude....do you have a bird?"

" no, why do you ask?" Engel said as he looked at her,

"I just...smell that wafty smell that feathers get...so I figured you may have had a bird." Right...that's a good cover story. Lets not say that his scent smells like a bird...that would just start a whole mess of trouble. She smiled sheepishly and wondered how she could get out of that mess. She stared at the boy. He was younger than her. Still in school she figured due to his uniform. Probably skipping. "Sorry my mistake I suppose." She stood up to throw the paper away and get more burgers. Another reason she ran....a lot.

He noted he was seen. He looked at his body to note he was visible. The girl had a scary look to her as she glowered at his form, but scaring the dead required more than an ugly look a fire breath. Instead he laughed as she tried to spook him. The laugh was even more ethereal when he made it go out loud. He smirked and opened his mouth as he began to manifest and got halfway there when a snowball passed through him. He looked where it came from for a moment and completely manifested himself on the snow covered yard,

"Why yes, quite funny. People take things so seriously, and you seem more sensitive than most. I find that very amusing."

Kyro emerged from his 350z, looking at the burger joint. His human stomach craved something refined. At least more refined than raw bloody meat. Compared to his normal catch, a burger was a masterpiece. Much longer than what he would prefer to take the time to prepare food for himself. However, Kyro loved to cook for others and was an accomplished chef, he just didn't get much time to practice the art.
He wore a black trench pea coat, with a burgundy collared silk shirt, black slacks and black dress shoes. When he did decide to be human, he loved to dress up. It was rare that he used this body, why not? Smiling, he walked towards it with his predator-grace. Coal black eyes locked on the hamburger joint. Yum.
His shaggy hair contrasted the dressy, wealthy outfit. The sun gleamed down on his tanned face. Kyro walked the way to the joint, whistling a tune, which just happened to be fur elise, by Beethoven. He stopped and smiled as he made it to the door, opening it for a stranger then walked in himself.
Kyro went to the front and ordered a burger. With bacon.Licking his lips he waited by the window for his food to be ready.

She frowned, only a faint smirk playing on her face when the snowball passed through the ghost.
"There may be several reasons why I'm currently more sensative than most. For example, my family may have all just heard the Call, I may be feeling ill, I may have just been dumped by my boyfriend or perhaps my house has recently burnt down." She snapped, listing off possibilities of what was making her so angry so easily. However, one was correct, Kana had recently been cheated on by her boyfriend. But it didn't matter any more, not after she ate him anyway.

"Who me? Uhhh....Nothing much, I've got the rest of the week or so off from pack duties and my job so I've got a free day." He shrugged, looking at the music books.
"Why? You planning something?" He added slyly.

He laughed as she snapped at him. Still no fear, not even in this vulnerable state. He simply grinned at her and crossed his arms for the cold,

"The Call? Meh the mortal death isn't something many need to fear, I'm proof of that. Illness is a strange thing for a dragon, I don't think I've ever seen one sick before. Got strong dragony antibodies. If your boyfriend dumped you, you probably ate him, and if your house burnt down...well I would be a little sorry for that. I HATE when one of mine get burnt."

He closed the distance between them with a swiftness that said he hadn't entirely manifested his feet yet so he could still float around and not have to about the necessity of gravity and walking,

"Though on the boyfriend one, you are an attractive girl. You'll find someone else I'm sure."

He grinned sheepishly and kissed his fingertips reaching out to touch her cheek. He didn't get caught up in romance much, but he felt like being a card today. He was hoping to be an ace, but being a deuce would be funny as well.

She shrugged, smirking faintly at his answers.
"Good answers to them, you know a fair amount of dragons?" She asked, still not letting her frown entirely vanish from her face. His next words sent the tips of her ears blazing again as she took a nervous step back. Kana didn't think herself pretty, not amongst other dragons anyway. To be reassured she would find another was surprising, especially from one who covered her with snow moments before. Her eyes tracked his fingers as he kissed them before brushing her cheeks. The contact made Kana jerk her head away in surprise, staring at him wide eyed.
"What are you doing?" Her voice snarled, though it was fake, covering the curiousity she felt suddenly.

"I've been dead a long time dear. I know a lot about many things..."

He defaulted to his geistly giggle when she shrunk form his touch. From his statement as well. Was she really so surprised...or perhaps a bit curious. His laugh got a little deeper, he could feel the extra warmth that showed interest, even if her voice said she was trying to whip him back. Still he floated back a little and crossed his arms cocking his head to the side and giving her a clever grin,

"Well I was hoping I was being cute. Flirting if you will. Surprised?"

He zoomed in once more so he could give her a soft whisper, feel the cold ectoplasmic breath he emanated on her ear,

"I did say you were attractive."

She glowered at him, not relenting the glare until he had moved away from her.
"How long have you been dead then? it takes a while for people to learn as much as I think you know about my kind." She questioned, pausing to listen to what his explanation was.
"Yes you could say that, anyone who knows I'm a dragon is normally too scared to talk to me let alone flirt. So yes I'm surprised, but cute you are not." She answered with a sly look creeping across her face. The ghost came close to her again, his cold breath sending a shiver running down her spine.
"You may say that...But it doesn't mean it's the truth." She whispered, tensing in nerves.

His clever eyes caught her muscles tightening. His clever smile couldn't help but appear. Cute he wasn't? Hmm perhaps he could change her mind. Though he would need to spend a bit of time around her,

"I wouldn't really reveal that to someone I don't know yet. It'd help you find my binding object. Then maybe I'd be a little afraid of you."

He laughed proclaiming his lack of fear to a dragon might be a little careless, especially when he was manifested, but he wasn't one to care. He was happy just being this fool he knew he was,

"For now I am fearless though, and quite unafraid to speak to a beautiful girl."

He took a moment to speed back a little and floated about her giving a good analysis to her form,

"Yes, I do believe I have told the truth. You are a goddess. Not a bright goddess, but then as a ghost those kind are a little offensive to me. I much prefer your darkness."

Xander sighed. She looked up at the door as she heard it jingle again. It was annoying standing in line for food but it happened. She smiled placing her order for 2 double cheese burgers with bacon and pickles. The cashier looked at her and asked hadn't she just ordered. She flushed and tried to smile politely. "Uh yeah...just hungry. Didn't eat this morning." She looked away and grumbled under her breath as she tugged on the sleeve of her sweater. She looked up slightly as guy moved to the other line. He was dressed a whole hell of lot nicer than half the humans in here. She tilted her head wondering why he did or what he was. But she didn't have much time to really watch him. Her food was placed in front of her. Swapping it for the money and then waiting for change. She happily took her burgers and went to find a seat again seeing as hers had been taken.

Engel had seen that the seat that the girl had been sitting in had been taken. He felt sorry for her and quickly took another chair from a table and but it next to him then waved at her to come and sit. He wanted to talk to her more since he knew that she knew what he really was.

Xander stopped for a moment. Did he? He did. Aww sweet kid. She walked over and slipped into the seat he offered, her eyes going to the guy at the counter ordering his food. That guy despite looking no older than her was old. He smelled old. Probably vampire or dragon...one of the two. She looked back the kid in front of her and smiled. "Thanks. Its hard to find a seat in this place." She began unwrapping her third burger and wondered if she'd have to run home just to work off the food.

"true since this is the best place for a burger." Engel said as he looked at her. "oh yay and that is a wonderful perfume your wearing." he said as he smiled at her.

Kyro tapped the counter impatiently. He still carried his polite, nice smile on his face. Refusing to be rude. How odd, a dragon that wasn't rude. Others of his kinds thought he was weird. Loving humans and others that weren't his kind, hating vampires, actually caring about the call of death, and being polite? Dragons weren't polite. They did what they wanted when they wanted it. But Kyro....He just couldn't do that...
The food finally came and he thanked the worker, and took his tray. He turned around and fr the first time analyzed the room. Hunger had clouded his judgment. He noticed a girl ,who was clearly not human, and a boy who was clearly not human. He frowned. Why were there so many non-humans lately in this town? With all of them around, he really should move. But he wasn't ready to let go to his life here yet. Not while this call of death was putting the humans in danger.
As he passed the table he smiled and nodded to them before sitting at his own table near them. Of course, they appeared human to another human. But no one could fool a dragon.
