Engel smiled at the boy who smiled of dragon and nodded at him. No dragon could hide there smell but humans never knowtest the smell. He liked how many people he has met recently that were not human and that he could actually talk to, Engel waved to the boy, saying for him to come and eat with them.

That clever smile of his was beginning to get on her nerves now. But when he declared his fearlessness, she felt one nerve snap. Slashing out at him with a clawed hand she glared at the ghost.
“You shouldn’t be so careless in your words or they’ll get you in worse situations.” She muttered coldly. It was annoying that Kana couldn’t that his words would kill him, considering he was already dead, and the faint annoyance showed in her eyes. Shifting back into a tense standing position she folded her arms across her chest, feeling self-conscious as he analysed her. His statement surprised her, enough to make the fury flicker briefly away from her features.
“Being bright is boring and too many people are interested in you. Being dark makes them leave me alone and I can still interact as I choose. But Goddess would be an overstatement and you are taking it too far.” She muttered, smirking as she did, glancing away to her still clawed hand.

At her house, Mitsuki changes out of her uniform and into more favorable clothes.
Leggings, with a calf-length skirt and a light-fencing style creme shirt.
She also adds a flower clip in her hair by her right ear.
Publicly, she was a vegetarian, though other actions in another form killed that.
She grabs a small satchel of walking-items (money, Zen mp3 player, ect.) and locks the door.
Her soft boots make imprints on the snow as she walks, the beautiful Swedish voices from her music dancing into her heart.
"Nothing planned but a few lessons to tone deaf children." He replies, a twinge in his voice.
Moving had created many opportunities to pick up new instruments, giving him more opportunities for jobs.
He had already been yelled at for telling one of his former students such.

Sam wanders down the street, headed for the little line of shops in the main part of town.
His dark hair shimmers with snow, giving him the look of one with terrible dandruff.
He walks into a burger joint, his throat begging for a drink.
Once at the front of the line, he orders a large Pepsi, and pays for it.
Maybe he was crazy, but he wasn't fond of grease with hamburger.
He glances around, finding a quiet spot in the corner.

Perfume. She was wearing perfume? She knew her family always told her she had a strong smell of blood that mingled with evergreens. "Well, thank you. I didn't think it was strong enough for others to smell." She smiled and shook her head. She looked up at the guy who walked by and smiled to him as he walked by them. She sighed....she'd need too head back to the pack soon. Too many creatures that could start a fight with her. "Why are you skipping school?" She asked to the kid who offered her a seat.

"I don't know how you cope Landon. If it were me teaching tone deaf kids they'd be long gone by now...Sensative ears and all." He smirked, one hand reaching up to tug his right ear in a joking fashion.
"How about skipping eh? Go out and have some fun." Lyden asked suddenly

"Goddess, I wish I could, but...this town's too small to do that and live." He sighs.
None of his pagan deities ever helped him out of spots like that, no matter how many offerings he gave.
"I usually have earplugs in, otherwise I'm sure I'd end up in the Funny-Farm." He continues.
Well, being in a padded room was better than the gallows for mass-murder, right?
Okay, so not the gallows, but it was much more poetic.

"I snuck out after I started a snowball war in the front of the school." he said a she remembered all the snowball thrown.

<Sorry, this is jumping ahead in time a bit, feel free to not jump with me.>
Tara woke up, her mind fuzzy with sleep. She had slept well into the late night, and the clock blinked 1:00 at her. Geez, there was no way she would get back to sleep now. Part of it, she knew, was she didn't want to face what she had found out.
Basically, no one knew what the call of death was. However, there was a person out there who had resisted it. They lived several states away and were apparently not right in the head. But they had survived.
She had also learned a lot of theories, some she knew, some she didn't. Aliens, angry pagan gods, flesh-eating bacteria, spontaneous combustion, going bonkers and killing themselves, tumors caused by toxic chemicals, mass schizophrenia, too much television, the government. None really seemed to explain it, not to Tara's satisfaction. Many were hard to cure easily, or seemed completely improbable. She wanted a nice clean solution. She had the feeling there wasn't one. Should she go? Tara didn't want to go. She decided she would ask people at school tomorrow, those truly interested in the Call. For now, she decided she would walk outside in the cool night air.

A mysterious, unknown presence hovers over the epic snow-war still waging at the High School.
The Call of Death watches, searching for it's next victim.
It had no objective, currently, just to kill, to claim more lives for his dark kingdom.
"Your time is up." He whispers around a red-haired boy, who looks around in fear.
No one but the Called ever heard the voice, and he was Called.
"At midnight, your soul will be mine." The non-descriptive male voice informs nonchalantly.
The panicking teen looks pale, and faints.
He had less than six hours to live.
Mitsuki walks in peaceful bliss to all but the snow and the music.
She walks through the forest, the snow crunching under her boots.
Currently Para Para music blasts from her earbuds, the only headphone's that fit in her ears.
Of course, the wire was carefully hidden in her hair, to make it look like she had human ears, otherwise things could get tricky.
She dances freely, sensing she was alone.

He floated backward enough for his clothing to be swiped at with her claw laughing heavy at her desperate attempt to harm him. Feisty was a nice word for what she was, though he hated the word so he wouldn't use it. He sighed happily, fun was more favorable,
"Worse situations are fun, I only fear a few big things, I don't have to be as paranoid as I was as a mortal. I can take in these moments of horror with a grin and a laugh."
Horror was his job now. To haunt and scare and spook. He was happy with this arrangement. He still wished to find more about this girl...then he got cold. This wasn't just any cold, it was The Cold. The feeling when a threat to his Passion, the driving force of his existence on this plane, was near. He looked about him, his smirk lost, his mind racing,
"Damn..."
He didn't know what it was. There weren't many things that could erase him from the physical plane, exorcists, medicine men, a threat to one of his haunts, or someone was touching his binding item. (What he didn't realize was that it was none of these things. It was The Call.) He looked at her and zoomed in to attempt one solid kiss,
"I must go. There is a problem in my paradise, and self preservation is my forte. Till we meet again."
He de-manifested and flew off to check his haunts.

Kyro blinked, the boy who smelled of feathers was asking him to sit with him? Interesting. Never one to be rude, Kyro made a mental shrug and smiled back to him. "If you would like, thank you, That's very nice of you to invite me to your...conversation." He said in his charming, silky smooth voice. His eyes glanced to the girl across from him and he smiled to her politely. By this time he had already gulped down his meal and he carried his trash to the waste bin. Afterwards, Kyro walked to the table of inhumans and sat down next to the girl. "Hello, hello! How very nice to meet you. I'm Kyro....And you are?" He said to the earthy smelling girl and the airy boy.

He pouted in annoyance, moving to stand up instead of practically lying on the counter.
"Kill Joy...Fun's made to make not look for." He announced with a grin. "We should paint the town red as they say." He added in declaration, leaning forwards to grab Landon's wrist. Lyden attempted to drag his friend out from behind the counter, a wicked grin across his face.
"I suppose once you're dead there really is nothing to fear but eternal damnation or something?" She smiled slightly. Kana watched in surprise as that annoying smile on his face faded away. A yelp fluttered from her mouth as he zoomed forwards, getting his kiss.
"I'll kill you again Ghost Boy!" She roared in anger as he de-manifestated, shaking from combined embarassment and fury. Making an almost snorting noise she turned on her heel and stormed from the school grounds, having to concentrate to make the claws vanish from her hands. Kana was heading to get a burger, anything to get her mind off the annoying, yet vaguely interesting ghost.

Landon had never cared to learn about how friends were supposed to act, so he wasn't sure where this was going.
"I really wouldn't know what they say....I never cared to listen." He quips, attempting lamely to stand his ground.
The job didn't mean much to him, it was more of something to do besides college.
So, it wasn't that he really cared about leaving it was...
He wasn't really sure, but it was some of that deep-dark-corner-of-your-thoughts kind of feeling.
Or maybe it was foolish pride that made him stand his ground, however lamely.
Clarette notices the stricken boy, his face the picture of terror and doom.
A bittersweet thought kisses her consciousness.
At least she, being dead, was safe, right? You couldn't die twice.
A deep sense of foreboding, and correction sweeps the winds.
Maybe the Call heard her, but she wasn't important enough to talk to in spirit (not person, of course).
The blonde shivers, though she feels not the wind around her.
Maybe ghosts could die at the Call of Death after-all.

She looked at the boy and shrugged. "Still you want to live around humans. And interact with them....then go to school. You're too young still to really be out on your own and have no questions asked." She still lived with her pack which was accustomed but like then again her pack was nothing like other packs. "Epic snowball war? I think I passed the school when that was going on. Looked fun." She looked up as the guy form earlier walked over and sat with them after eating his meal. He sat next to her which was new to her and she just smiled back, hoping not to show too much fang and be offensive. "I'm Xander...its ...nice to meet you Kyro." He smelled old but not that old people kind of old. It was that old that things get when they aged with time. "I must not come to town much. I've never really seen you. Are you new or do I need to come to town more often?"

It hadn't taken her long to reach the place of her destination. It had taken however, at least ten minutes before she was able to order some food. Finally they gave her the order of one simple burger and a small bottle of orange juice. Quickly paying for it Kana looked around for a place to sit, finding an empty table nearby to a larger gathering. Hopefully if she tried to ignore them they wouldn't start an overly annoying conversation with her. Although they didn't smell human she realised in surprise. In fact, one smelt of dragon.
"That's exactly why you have to come with me! Never learn till you've tried." Lyden exclaimed, letting out an annoyed growl when Landon tried to hold his ground. "Come on, you've got nothing better to do and I'm already fullfilling my purpose of today." He grinned broadly.

A strange thought pops into Landon's head.
Not strange as in odd, save for the timing.
An acquaintance of his once commented that if he joined a band, he'd get some muscle.
He had just half-smiled, all the laugh she got in return.
The rubber-like fabric of his coat squeaks in protest of the tug-o-war.
"Purpose?" Landon wasn't sure if he spoke it or thought it.
His boots drag on the tile, making no noise as they start to slide.

He winced slightly at the squeaking noises from Landon's rubber coat, almost tempted to let him go just to cover his ears. It was one of those pet hatreds of Lyden's, squeaks.
"Yes purpose. It's my job to either annoy you to the Funny Farm or get you having fun, either one's fine by me." He shrugged, tugging harder as he noticed the boots dragging along the tiles. They were almost to the door, making Lyden attempt to speed up.

The thick combat boots provide little traction on the slick tile.
His shifting movements are rewarded with more squeaking, making Landon cringe.
"I'm perfectly able to drive myself to Lunatic's Island, if you don't mind." He retorts, only then realizing that it's impossible for one to drive on water.
Oh well, maybe it'd help his case.
A blast of cold air surrounds Mitsuki, making the Silverfox-girl shiver.
Something dark danced on it's wings, along with a deep sense of foreboding.
She stops her music, and calls out. "W--who's there?"
She gets no answer, but is spooked enough to shift into full fox form, her satchel around her neck, and dash back to the human-city.

Sam senses other beings, but a certain dragon's scent stick out at him.
He frowns, he knew that scent.
He turns his gaze from the window to the rather loud table of teenagers.
His dark eyes narrow at the sight of what had to be the weakest, personality-wise, dragon in these United States.
Turning around, he grabs his soda, and gets up to leave.
This was more difficult than he thought, the restaurant now an obstacle course of humans.
Speaking of which, it was about time for a good meal...

The cold wind rushes through Mitsuki's fur, keeping pace with her full-out fox run.
"You can't run from Death, my dear." A male voice gravels in her ear.
"Watch me." She puffs, turning sharply, even if it was straight into the middle of town.
She hoped Death had no plans of killing her, yet at least, and was just trying to prove it's omnipotence.
The silver-furred fox girl runs, weaving through the streets.
Her stomach churns as she passes a burger joint, her paws slipping for purchase as she halts.
The smell gave her a headache, temporarily making her forget about everything.
She covers her sensitive nose with a paw, as she starts to walk out of the terrible smell.
The Call leaves the Silverfox as she reaches the town.
He didn't feel like killing her yet, after all she made a good messenger.
The dark spirit felt like the foolish non-humans didn't fear Death enough, and thus spoke to the girl.
The cold wind of the Call of Death swirls around, and fades back to wherever it resides.

He chuckled at Landon's comment, it was almost enough to make him let go.
"Yea you've just prooved yourself right, you DO know you can't drive cars over water right?" He laughed while still cringing from the constant squeaking.
"Why'd you have to get the noisiest shoes in the shop huh?" He grumbled as one hand moved back to open the door behind him.
She could sense two other dragons, the smell familiar and comforting to her who had recently been 'attacked' by a ghost. Rising from her table her eyes scanned the restaurant. She could see one of the dragons about to leave, something that was being made impossible by the humans. Walking forwards she tapped his shoulder, pointing to their right. There was a fire exit there and it seemed easier to get to then the main entrance.

He had visited just about every one of his haunts. Nobody other than the regular folks were in there, nobody had touched his quarter. The priests were actually incapable of exorcisms at the time since they were doing a grand prep for the incoming Christmas mass, that they believed needed to be many times better than years previous to help the masses deal with The Call. He was safe...there wasn't even a trace of danger...and yet he had felt it. The Cold. What in the name of all things could it have been? He zoomed off, he needed to chill for a minute, get his mind off of his paranoia. Time for him to hit the music shop. He had haunted the bathroom of the place for his amusement, mostly as a backup and because when he met the place it was disgusting enough he didn't even need to go to great lengths to harvest fear from those who went inside. They practically spooked themselves. He floated for a moment, doing deep breathing exercises even if he didn't need to breath. Listen to the sounds. Chill.
