All I have to say about my day is this; The anime 'Aria' rocks, and science comes up with completely badass stuff. Like Aerogel, ferrofluids, elastic conductors, transparent alumina, and carbon nanotubes.

In other news, I learned stuff today and science became really, really crazy interesting again. :D

A ferrofluid is a liquid that reacts to magnetic fields in trippy ways that make you think that science is both magical and potentially evil. They have multiple real world applications, many which are pretty badass, and none of which you will care about after seeing this:

...We have so many weird nicknames. XD We have Sarahan and that's a long story. I've been dubbed Marjie by a couple of girls, and Margot by one... One of our three Olivias was dubbed Buffy because she was wearing a Buffy the Vampire Slayer shirt, and of course we have the aforementioned Lucious Catharine and Schnappi. Schnappi due to this song, and Luscious Catharine because she called a danish luscious last year and we have not forgotten how much we like to associate that word with her. XD

My writing group didn't have too many weird nicknames... There was Nathen, though, who was always being called "Wheathin" by one of the people there. And... I've obtained the nickname Silky. Because of my hair. XD;

I mean... I got told today that my hair was like a mane today, "but a good mane that I just want to pet all day" but honestly. How silky can a mane be? XD You see my problem. And it's so humid here that soft hair is scarce. D: No silky soft hair for me to be a creeper over! :gonk:

Yay! XD Gosh, I hate humidity. It makes it so hard to MOVE in heat. Seriously, I've been in 100+ degree weather out west in dry air and it was lovely. Here, anything over 80 is cloying and makes me want to roll in some snow. D: Is it really humid where you do your dwelling and such, or no? o_o

It's not bad as far as I know of, no. o: It's just funny, is all. :'D But the funny's hard to explain, because every time I start trying to explain, my brain implodes. o_o;

*cackles* I've actually been thinking what a fun RP idea that would be lately. XD Only I keep forgetting to mention it when we talk.

Let's seeee... Nami would be like five million hundred yards out there swimming around like she's a ninja water monster, Hiroshi would be yelling at her to get her butt back to the beach because he's afraid of large bodies of water and seeing other people in them freaks him out, Raie would be somehwere off down the beach with Kallie on a walk and pulling her in and goofing around while she got increasingly annoyed until she tried to drown him, Viv would be fleeing Goga, who would be chasing her in an attempt to force her into one of those 20's swim suits that REVEAL NOTHING, Slaine would be strutting her stuff in some tasteful yet revealing swimsuit and probably be playing life guard for anyone younger than ten, Lothaire would be sulking under an umbrella and glaring at the happy sunshine, Iru'd be getting ice cream for people and playing fetch with Noble, who would be chasing the stick into the waves and suck at being a lion, Trovet would probably quietly hover by the edge of the water, Ruol and Teka would be looking for sea shells, and the rest of the pups would be looking for seaweed, crabs, or jellyfish to throw at one another and/or slip down each other's swim trunks and bikini bottoms while Tor begged them to perhaps use a small part of their brains. XD

Hmm.... Aqua would probably be out in the water with the pups since he's some sort of freaking fish when it comes to water, Merak would be finding someplace away from the water since he doesn't like water, y'know, at all, I'm not sure where D'iala would be since he's not much of a water person either, Mehen would be sitting off reading somewhere, Faeran would be attempting to drown Rolian, since he'd be splashing her with water, Doriki would be glaring at the happy sunshine as well, Aken wouldn't be there because he'd probably have to take care of someone who drowned or something, Kirechk would be offering to spend time with Trovet if he looked lonely, Faryr would be in his raven form chasing seagulls everywhere, and Loas would be pestering crabs.

And I'm positive that I missed someone. XD

Nami, like Aqua, is secretly a fish. XD There is a reason she's most attuned to water magic. *nod nod* Also, I think Varkal and Faeran NEED to star in some sort of Desperate Housewives/murder type show. XD

A time warp switched Aqua and Raie at birth, I think. XD I would watch their show. :'D

OH. She'd, um... probably just watch things unfold, and maybe do a little match making, which she does sometimes. o_o; And Raf, since I just realized I forgot him too, would be trying to look a little less scrawny, somehow. XD And Merlotta would be subtley staring at Doriki in a swimsuit or cursing the fact he wasn't in a swimsuit, depending on the situation.

Oh golly. :'D SO MUCH CONFUSED. Probably alot of assuming they'd just trotted out of some convention or a renaissance fair. XD That didn't even cross my mind, most of my modren worlds have alot of magical creatures so I was just kind of like, "Oh they'd go there" in my brain. Even though you SPECIFICALLY SAID 'our world'. I'm having fun imagining their reactions to one another in swimsuits- at least the ones who are dating or have crushes on each other. XD
