I tend to feel very hostile towards book to film adaptations, but I still want to see them most of the time.
I need to see Inkheart still. One of my favorite books, though I'm expecting it'll suck. I mean, I saw a unicorn in the preview. There. Are. No. Unicorns. In. Inkheart. Or Inkspell. There is one in Inkdeath, but it's dead the whole time. o_o

...Ink got her name from those books. :B "What should her name be, hmmm oh look Inkspell is sitting right there OH MY GOD INK IS A SWEET NAME THAT YES."

I've been told I should read those books. But the library never has the first book in, and... ohmyGODS, our library's site is absolutely horrid. x_e So I never bother trying to track down, double check, REtrack down, then request it.

If you have times to add things that aren't in the book, kick them back out, and put the book content you took out back in. I mean, Inkheart was more than five hundred pages. I KNOW you did not fit that all in a two or three hour movie, so don't add extra crap. D:

I aspire to be Elinor when I grow up, only I'll like dogs. :B That's another reason I'm hesitating on the movie, the movie butchered my image of her, even though she's played by an actress I really like. She's like, fat and stuff and in the movie she's tall and thing and just NO. D: ...NONE of the characters in the movie looked how I imagined them, actually. o_o Though, the movie poster is really cool.

I saw the movie when we were at Target yesterday. :'D It... didn't look right. o_o Even to someone who's never read the books.

SecuRom is a sort of DRM that EA has decided that they have to use because their every paying customer is an evil pirate who's going to rip their game and put it on the net. e_e "What is SecuRom?" There are many people who've run into awful issues, all stemming from SecuRom, and I've been trying to be very careful to not let it onto my computer, mostly because CDROM issues stemming from DRM are a Been There Done That for me, and it wasn't fun. :c The whole purpose of SecuRom is to try and keep people playing the games legally... but all it's really doing is making more and more people download the pirated versions, free of the DRM. Which, y'know, is counter-productive.

Securom is used in an attempt to make it difficult to pirate software. PC game manufacturers contend that this software is successful in combating piracy, however this assertion is difficult to support as most copy protection software is cracked within a few days to a few weeks. This software is also problematic because many legitimate users experience technical problems with their PC as a result of this software being installed, and these users are often resentful of the technical issues this copy protection causes on their PCs, especially considering the people who download pirated games often experience no such issues.

Oh, and I just found out- SecuROM is made/run by Sony, which gives me yet another reason to hate them. o_o
Yaaaaay. :sarcasm: e_e Buuut, apparently, with the help of a third party program, you CAN delete SecuRom off your computer. x3 Though... I'm not sure if the programs would still run without it. o_o

ALSO, nowhere on the Sims 2 and expack cases does it say there's SecuRom in the game. >_> I'm sure that's some shape or form of illegal.

With all of these issues reported, the worst issue of all is that SecuROM just doesn't work. It is incredibly easy to get around, as proved by pirated copies of Spore available the very day it was launched. In fact Spore is on track to become one of the most pirated games of all time, with estimates of over a million copies being pirated via torrents within two weeks of it's release date.

Sorry I poofed for a minute. My brother's friend (the one that's managed to kill two dogs and a cat on accident) was walking his dog, saw my brother, tied his dog to our porch, and they ran off somewhere. When my mom called down that there was a strange dog tied to the front of our house, I raced up to see, and wasn't suprised to see who's it was. :/ Also, the top of her head is dyed pink. o_o

I stayed out and petted her until the boy came back, poor thing was estatic to be getting some attention. :/
She was really cute, though, leaned on my leg and just climbed right on into my lap after a bit. :3

Good gods, I can see why he's managed to kill all his pets thus far. o_o Someone needs to smack some sense into that boy. *shakes head* Sounds like she was super happy to be getting some love, though. :'D And fairly cuddly.
