I'm pretty picky about some of the fanfiction that I read. First off, if the summary sucks, and I can tell just from that that the grammar isn't that great, or there are obvious flaws in the language, I won't read it. Too much work trying to translate something like that when I just want to relax and read. XP A lot of time, if it's an author I know is good, I'll read all their stuff. Or if it's recommended, and looks good and involved, I'll take a gander. But if I have to try and space out a giant paragraph to read, or something like that, it's probably not worth my time. =/

I kept having one of the guys I work with constantly telling me today that I looked like crap, or that I didn't look all that great. Not that I didn't know that already, but I probably did look as crappy as I felt most of the day. When I wasn't running to the bathroom to blow my nose. DX

I'm normally super picky about what fanfics I read, though sometimes I read the poorly written ones for giggles. o_o Though, I've run into a situation quite a bit lately where the summary is very well written, but the actually story is the polar opposite. I'll let spelling and punctuation mistakes slip by if there isn't too many of them- 'Sblood, goodness knows I only make those mistakes often enough myself!- but... yeah. I don't want to read through a giant block of chatspeak, poorly punctuated, grammar mess of a story. o_o

Yeah, I don't mind if there are a few here and there, but not so glaringly obvious that it's just one continuous run-on sentence, that may or may not make sense. DX It's understandable when you come across a writer whose first language isn't English, and they do a decent job as far as the English goes, and they have a good story. But to see a story written by someone whose first language is English and they make a lot of mistakes, and the story isn't written well, that's just a bit of a disappointment, unless they say they're like ten years old and just starting out. But then, why are they posting stories like that online? If such a circumstance were to come about. XP

I'm just making Halloween plans myself. c: My friends are lame and no one wants to go trick-or-treating with me. }:< So I'm getting a gathering of said friends together, as was demanded by Ju and Kristi. Some of us are gonna hang out at my house in costume, decorate the drive-way, and pass out candy and then just chill out and eat food and such. c: And everyone has to bring a bag of candy for us to pool and divide since we aren't trick-or-treating. ;D I'm making invites right now.

Ooo, sounds like an excellent plan! :D I've no idea what we're doing ourselves, personally. o_o I... just... Haven't been in the Halloween mood. Don't know if I'll trick-or-treat or just chill at home.

I've only heard a few of their songs, I think. o: But they're a good band. c: I don't play CDs constantly because A) I... only own like, four CDs. o_o The rest are MP3s, and B) my brother would kill me in my sleep if I constantly played a CD. XD

I sometimes play CD's constantly (AKA Carbon Leaf's Nothing Rhymes with Woman album :P) but I play them in my room. Where one particular song/group will not constantly grate on people's nerves. My sister... she plays them on the living room stereo. Over and over. o_o

I think I'm just gonna flat out write what's going on and go back through and add flowerly language amd pretty words tommorow. o_o The voice I'm giving Iakov/Jacob/Iru to narrate the story is too smart-sounding and poetic for me to think of as I go. I should probably not mess with writing styles that are way beyond me, but I am anyway. XP So no wodner I'm failing.

That... holy cow. o_o That's.... I should do that when I'm trying to write. Writing what's going on then going back to flesh it out and touch it up would be so much easier.
