Maximum of people from NaNo that made it there was... six, counting myself. :'D The first four of us were many levels of awesome- Tamalia, Amalia, Mandy and Amanda. The two who had been there before me are in the middle of planning a wedding. Mostly we just spent the time chatting and absolutely destroying our word counts by distracting each other, but it was still a blast. x3

They were all older than me, but I'm honestly not surprised- It does take place during school hours, and there's not a lot of homeschoolers in my area who would be interested in such a thing. XP

...So I had/am having kind of a rough day, but we watched this music video in women in lit, and it basically made my day better. c: It's not usually my kind of music, but the lyrics, message, and her voice are just so wonderful that I can't help but love it. I'm thinking I might make it the themesong of what a few of my female characters expect from a relationship. :drool: Like I could definitely see Nami or Viv singing it (...or rather feeling like it) if they were with a guy who treated them like that.

D: *hugs* There's an easy way to solve it, you realize. Your computer's in the basement, right? Wait until he leaves the basement. Then lock the door behind him, if you can. :< Or pester a parent until they do something. Or talk with a teacher about turning in the novel for extra credit in an english or literature class if you finish it, then tell parents that your brother simply cannot bother you while you're writing because you're doing extra credit homework.

The basement only locks from the outside, or I would do that. >:c And at my dad's house it's right by the kitchen and family room with no doors at all, so. o_o My dad has been cracking down a bit more on him since he started being a real shit to my mom and back-sassing her constantly, so my sister and I are like, "OMFG FINALLY YES." But... he's still a little poop head.
Though the extra credit thing is a good idea... I might try it out. :'D

I actually have been thinking about just buying the cheapest laptop I can find recently. No getting internet on it, no fancy stuff, just some sort of typing application so I can huddle myself away to write stories on that. 'Cause I could just listen to my iPod or a CD instead of stuff on YouTube or iTunes while I worked, I wouldn't be distracted by the intarwebs, and I could save stuff to a flash drive if I wanted to take it to another computer to work on it for some reason or print it off. c: I'd prefer my own desktop for that purpose, but I'd have to buy two if I wanted to use it at both houses, and just no. o_o

Just so's you have them for when you do edit. c: And really, I had to read it twice to catch most of them- I got so swept up in the story! <3
'Sides, I need practice in the event I decide to be an editor. ;D

c: I've been editing some, but mostly I'm just trying to tell my persistent inner editor to shut up and let me write. o_o; This chapter, for instances, has some just horrible places that need to be edited- I'm almost to the page I was planned on ending the chapter on, and I've only just mentioned what season it is. xD
