AIIIE. So, so, so, my mama is going on a mission trip (with some church she does not even go to) to South Africa to be a nurse to kids with HIV/AIDS this spring, and she said I could come and build houses/plant gardens/play with children, and then she was like "No it might be dangerous you can come next time after I see how it is."
So I am nursing a grudge and told her, "Well, you know what, after I get out of college, I am going to work at the Kabul Beauty School to help women in Afghanistan and then I'm gonna go to India and free Nepali girls from forced prostitution and not take you, so THERE."
And she was like, "The church I'm going with has mission trips to India to free girls fom sex slavery/help the rescued girls through their trauma and back into normal life" and now I'm like "OMG OMG OMFG MUST GO. D:" *rolls around on ground*

But oh, that is something I so want to do. There's so many causes I want to help, but helping children in the sex slave trade is really freaking high on the list. The book I read about it said that every year, 12,000 Nepali girls are sold by their parents/grandparents/step-parents/brothers into prostitution in India (whether said relative knows or is under the impression they are selling her to be a maid for a rich family), and that half a million children are forced into it worldwide. :c It makes me cry.
