I don't know much about it, just the name and that it's really prestigious and old and lots of smart, famous British people taught/were students there. :B I remember going to the town when I was like, seven and being like, "No way, Oxford is in England, I didn't know there was one in Ohio also!" It took me a while to figure out that Oxford was a town, because Miami University is there, so I was under the impression that that was Oxford University. :B

I'm reading The Lord of the Rings right now and OH MY GOD WHY DID I NOT SOONER I LOVE IT SO MUCH TOLKIEN IS MY HERO. <3 And Lore Cosair, which is SO GOOD. ;D And The Stranger, which is a book for grown ups written like it's for forth graders. :B I kind of like it, but I think it's one of those books I wouldn't spend my time on if it wasn't for school. Better than A Farewell to Arms with that stupid nurse and that stupid lieutenant, at any rate. :gonk:

I've never actually read Lord of the Rings. :< I read our Hobbit book until the cover fell off, but never touched Lord of the Rings. Apfft. ;D I'm thinkin' the rewrite will be better. If I can ever get past the second paragraph. What's The Stranger about? I'm a little curious now. :'D

Same with me! I decided it was finally time. And ahmahgahd, I LOVE it. <3 So far, it's up there with The Once and Future King, which I say is my all-time favorite book if you really really really REALLY force me to pick. :heart:
So far, The Stranger is just about this apathetic guy who is eager to please people. But according to the back of the book, he gets caught up in this senseless murder and it doesn't say much else. I think it's interesting enough even if it's a little dull, but I'm only on page forty. My mom got to page ten and deemed it to too boring. :B
