Yeah. I have a lot of respect for my dad, he's been very supportive throughout all of this. He doesn't care what religion my brother or I are, he doesn't care about our political views (as long as we educate ourselves, he'll smack down dumb arguments), and he doesn't care if we are straight gay or bi (he actually said that he was glad I dated a girl once, because girls can't get me pregnant xD).

She's the complete opposite. She insists that I need to find "god" and that being gay or standing up for gay rights is "sinful" and "wrong" and that I'm too "liberal" and don't know what I'm talking about (I've sent her some nasty emails about the tea party chain mail propaganda she's sent me).

I actually think her condition started with her pregnancy with me, but just got really bad once she had my brother. She has hypothyroidism, which can be triggered by pregnancy. She takes meds for it now, which causes depression, so she was on anti-depression meds when she was pregs with my brother (which is why I think he's not *quite* as smart as me, and I don't mean to toot my own horn or anything), and then she took meds to counter the side-effects of her anti-depression meds, and so on. She was pretty drugged up by the time she filed for divorce (her reasoning was that my dad was "too controlling of her" which is laughable considering her first alcoholic boyfriend), and she never got off the meds (which I pleaded for her to do, to which she said to me "YOU JUST WANT ME TO SMOKE WEED, THAT'S YOUR FATHER'S SOLUTION TO EVERYTHING")
