I totally agree, Kah. Awesome T-shirt Willa xD
Exactly, testing on humans is just impossible and therefore, animals are the only choice available...
Haha, that's an awesome dream, Kah! I love bicycles. Oh no, but you're not a terrorist! lol//
That's hilarious how everyone suspected you of something cuz the word "terrorism" was used.

Yeah, if the animals aren't in pain it's okay, but what about experiments where they put tumors in rats and the like. That's where the ethics lines get blurry...

Oh my god, today my ex instant messaged me... sounds like he wants to get back together, or maybe just have a one-nighter. I was like "Dude, why the hell are u talkin to me?" I hate it though, how my first reaction was "I MISS U!" which I didn't say, but I hate that... when you feel emotionally attached to someone even though you haven't seen them in months. Stupid heart!
See, I don't like rats though, fairy... if they get tumors from a medicine, well thats better than a human getting a tumor. I think we should test as much as possible on rats... I'm sure though, if someone likes rats or has a pet rat, they'd probably be angry at me tho/ XD

Indeed, Kah... I don't date scumbags anymore.
He still wants to be my friend, which is fine, I'd rather have a friend than an enemy... but he's kidding himself if he thinks I'll ever give him another chance. xD Oh well, its amusing watching him suffer. lol//
That's awesome Hyene. ^^ do you live in Illinois?
Here in Cali we had gay marriage for like a month... until the Republicans realized what 'catastrophe' was happening in San Fran and they put Prop 8 on the ballot to "save the children." And sadly, it passed, because people are here are marginally more republican than democrat (liberal)... I don't know why that is when we have the majority of gay and liberals living here... but I guess since most of the liberals are College students, it won't make any difference until they get off their lazy asses and vote.

I wish Florida would allow gays to marry, but same thing here. Hopefully the staes will do it one by one, and then maybe there will be a vote to allow it in the constitution.

Problem with Florida, is its mostly retired senior citizens, and they are Xtremely republican and conservative...
I'm hoping prop 8 will be discontinued cause its against the Constitution, than by law, gay marriage will be allowed in Cali again. ^^

I don't live in Illinois, but I live in Indiana which is one state over. Which means that if I was looking for something dumb to do, we could hop the border and be legally recognized by the state of Illinois... even if it doesn't come with the benefits that marriage does. >>
What I think happened with Prop 8 was this: Yes, there are a ton of gays in the state and it should have been a no-brainer. But any time you have an influential culture like that, you have a loud and obnoxious counter-culture to go against it. And when people are forced to choose sides, they can't be reliable to think on the the consequences of the outcome. So they chose the louder, more persuasive republicans because that 'seemed logical.' Also, I recall some of the controversy being that it was worded poorly and difficult to read. Some of my friends who follow the issue STILL say that they would have voted yes on Prop 8 because they thought that Prop 8 was to allow same-sex couples to be married, not to amend the allowance already in place at the time.
Yeah, sorry... that was really wordy. >>

Pretty much, Hyena... but the real question is, what state do you prefer?
There's no point in moving to Illinois for something like that unless you want to start a new life there.
That's true, all the republicans were total counter-culture... Also, many religious people are anti-homosexual...
but not all of them, I'm religious and obviously, I'm not homophobic. XD lol//
Its funny because the republicans argument wasn't sound at all. I don't see how 2 married gay men making-out and fornicating, can destroy families and hurt children. xD its hilarious! The real issue is dumb people... and honestly, there's a LOT of dumb people in the United States that will buy into stupid advertisements that say stuff like that. We NEED Education! Please help us Europe. haha

See... I'm not religious. But I respect one's right to be so. However, if I feel something isn't fair, I'm totally about fixing it. For example, I personally think Scientology is bogus, but I recognize it as a religion (I just think the REALLY crazy ones will always be crazy no matter what religion they are.)
I'm very confused how gay marriage will destroy families. A study was done on gay families: there was 0% physical abuse, less than 4% emotional abuse, and a whopping 2% of the children with gay parents actually turned out to be gay. And that 2% is... pretty much average for the population of... pfff... I dunno... THE WORLD. Just sayin'
I'm probably not moving to IL mostly because I want out of the Midwest. Me an' Liz are thinking of picking up to go to Oregon to live with one of her board friends. They recognise domestic partnerships there, and there's no sales tax. Plus, its GORGEOUS. *u*

And there are people, like my parents, who believe homosexuality is a non-congenital psychological illness which causes people to not only be gay but also pedophilic deviants seeking to pervert the younger generations with their political agenda.
You can guess now why I'm trapped in the closet.

Exactly, Hyena, especially if that thing is the constitution... and I'm glad that judge in Cali finally declared that Prop. 8 is unconstitutional, because it goes against equal rights for citizens. Already, people have contested the Judge's decision, so now its congress or the supreme court to decide... Or they may put it up on the ballot again. *sigh*
Yeah, I totally don't get Scientology either... And I don't get Wiccans, but I recognize it as a belief.
I'm Zoastrian, which is an ancient Persian (Currently Iran) religion... Its been around before Jesus and Abraham, but I belief structure is the same. Basically one God, and many rules, and angels... like all monotheistic religions.
2% is nothing, that would happen even if the parents were straight... so its obvious gay couples do not affect child's behaviors and decisions about sexual orientation.
That's awesome. I might move to Oregon myself... probably Portland where all my friends live. XD lol
Wow, they recognize gay marriage there? I didn't know that. And yes, very gorgeous! also I can have a hemp farm, which is illegal in california.
I know what you mean, Kah... Sadly my mom and step dad hold the same belief, that homosexuality is a mental disorder that can be treated with medicine and religion. Its stupid. Its not something you can fix or change... Its totally normal and its only hypocrites that believe differently. Unfortunately, my mom is a hypocrite but hopefully one day she'll learn and perhaps change... And if I was in your situation, I too would be in the closet. Honestly, my mom and step dad don't know about me either... my dad knows but he doesn't care, he also doesn't care that I smoke.

They don't recognize gay marriage in Oregon. They recognize "domestic partnerships," which, if anything, means that I can introduce my girlfriend as my girlfriend instead of my "... roomate... that I sleep in the same bed with. And sometimes we have sex. Because we love each other. Please don't lynch me."
I understand Wicca. Its basically trying to make sense of a bunch of earth-based religions where the ancient texts and beliefs were once nearly completely wiped out. One step down from Recreationism in that its non-specific. I, myself, am just ecclectic. I believe in a lot of things, but don't adhere to any one label under the basis that... it can easily change.
Kah: I'm lucky that my parents are understanding. I haven't come out to them yet because... well... I think its pretty obvious. If it comes up and they're surprised, I'm pretty sure my immediate reaction is "I thought you KNEW!"
And yeah. Fixing homosexuality? Good luck with that. As long as there are people, there will be gay people. Its not just genetics; its statistics. -headslide-

Oh, I see Hyena... Domestic partnership is practically a marriage, in my opinion. xD
How long have u 2 been living together? I know in Cali if you live with someone for a certain amount of time they consider you domestic partners, only prob is you don't get a decrease in taxes, like you would if you were married....
My friend Larissa is Wiccan. She worships the Earth Diety. She has a bunch of amulets and herbs to make potions with. She told me she's a "good witch" because she only makes healing potions and she only prays for healing powers. I don't see anything wrong with it... My only concern is some people might try to learn the dark magics and end up awakening demons or evil spirits.
Ecclectic is a good way to be cause than you're totally open-minded. I'm the same way, I figure by now my mom should realize I'm bi... Hell, I've had bfs come over to the house before and I've openly held their hand... it seems obvious to me, but my mom can be pretty oblivious sometimes. XD haha.
That's awesome Will! I love haunted houses... I used to live in one during highschool, I lived there for 3 yrs, until the ghost grabbed my arm and hurt me. I had a huge black bruise down my arm. It hurt soo fuckin bad... and I was so cold. It wasn't the pain that made me move, it was the horror I felt. I couldn't stay in a house with a bad spirit that had the power to touch me... it was just way too creepy!
Haha, I'm a stoner too Kah. hehe. Your dad is homophobic? I came out to my dad and he simply said, "Duh, son, I wasn't born yesterday...And don't worry, I really don't care if you get married or have kids. Just don't get AIDs!" lol//

So... I don't wanna take risks

We were talking about common law marriages in sociology yesterday. Are domestic partnerships similar?

Wow, sounds kinda complicated Kah...
Yes, good idea. ^^;; I wouldn't want you getting hurt.
Hehe yes it was. The creature would come into my room at night and I'd hear it walking... and a cane thumping. And it would stand there over me, breathing loudly... I would be so terrified, I couldn't move. And than I'd think "GO AWAY!" and it would leave, like that... I hated that place. I'm never going back!
I know a lot of agnostic people too, fairy... it seems like more people are agnostic now, than atheist, which I like, since I never understood why some people believe in nothing.

Yeah, I think there isn't enough proof either way so I won't discount either side, which is how she is too. Besides, if there is a heaven I think it's your deeds that'll get you there, not what you believe.
Woah, that's so creepy! I'm glad I've never lived anywhere haunted, I would freak out.
