Well, yes but the belief tells you what deeds are good and whats evil... that's important for this insane society that cannot discern between the 2. Man was made to destroy, to hate and to commit evil.

Yeah, it was definitely the freakiest couple yrs of my life...

How long have u 2 been living together? I know in Cali if you live with someone for a certain amount of time they consider you domestic partners, only prob is you don't get a decrease in taxes, like you would if you were married....
My friend Larissa is Wiccan. She worships the Earth Diety. She has a bunch of amulets and herbs to make potions with. She told me she's a "good witch" because she only makes healing potions and she only prays for healing powers. I don't see anything wrong with it... My only concern is some people might try to learn the dark magics and end up awakening demons or evil spirits.
Ecclectic is a good way to be cause than you're totally open-minded. I'm the same way, I figure by now my mom should realize I'm bi... Hell, I've had bfs come over to the house before and I've openly held their hand... it seems obvious to me, but my mom can be pretty oblivious sometimes. XD haha.
Quoted because I'm like... five days late replying. xD

We've been together as a couple for going on our second year now, but we lived together in the dorms for two years and in our first house together for one. I don't know if the dorm years count because they were intermittent and that would disrupt it. Not that it really matters. We don't have domestic partnerships in Indiana. According to the State of Indiana, gay people don't exist. (Oh, yes, but pi can equal EXACTLY 3 if brought up in the court of law... that's fair.) Unless you're in Bloomington... and honestly, I'm trying to get OUT of this state. Why would I move further INTO it? That, and the benefits in Bloomington are just "the state of Indiana recognises your right to marry, but will not grant it on coin of the state law."

I know quite a few people who are wiccan, and quite a few of them are the type to awaken dark forces and... things of that color. The reason they haven't done it is because one of the main stones of Wicca is "what you do to others will come back tenfold upon you." Though, some people... I don't think care. -eyeroll- But that's their thing, eh? If I went around worrying that people were dabbling in dark magic, I'd NEVER get anything done. And there is MUCH to do. xD

I'm Ecclectic because I recognise that my beliefs change. I can't really adhere to one thing or another because, well... some days I am not the same person I was a few days ago. If I subscribe to one thing or another, and then go back on it.. I'm not really giving the belief its due respect by calling myself something I'm not. I had a friend who would say that he was "Khemetic" or "Taoist" and then not even a month later, switch to something completely different. To me, it seemed kind of offensive. Now, I believe, he believes himself to be able to control chaos... which I think is just his way of saying "I'm more pagan-y than you."

Maybe she knows already and hasn't said anything because she accepts it. I haven't told my parents, and I'm pretty sure they've figured it out because my dad keeps suggesting towns for me to move in that his gay friends live in. And my mom just keeps quiet because she's not sure how to take it. I think she pretends that Liz is a boy. =u=

Wow, I really like your new avie Kah. ^^

That's alright, Hyena... it takes me a long time to reply to large messages, usually or text walls. And sometimes I make GIGANTIC txt walls... you'll definitely see that more around this thread, especially when I talk to Christa.

Well, I count that as 5 yrs living together than... Hm, I would count the dorm too, since you both were in the same environment.
I suppose most states are like Indiana, they are not providing equal opportunities for the homosexual community and its sad for our own country (which is supposed to be constitutionally equal for all citizens!) to ignore a large part of that community, because of their sexual orientation. Yeah, if I were you I would move out of that crummy state.

You gotta love that Karma-Justice. xD hehe. I know a couple Satanists, now those people are creepy...
Like if you get pleasure out of hurting others, you are either evil or very sadistic. Either way, not a good person.
I don't know any bad Wiccans, but I guess everyone has the ability to do evil and think evil, so I shouldn't worry about the Wiccan community... not to mention, most of those people really don't know what they're messing with and probably have no power or control over that ability, so nothing to worry about. Only specific people can harness such power.

That makes sense, and I suppose my views change from time to time... as I mature with age and experience.
Every 7 yrs a person's soul changes entirely and that person is reborn a new. Haha no human can control chaos! Only God
has such powers... and its silly for humans to think so. Also, the main pagan beliefs are dead.

Honestly, it sounds like your parents are adjusting to the idea that their daughter is gay... and I hope they accept you and your gf 100%! It sounds like your dad is already accepting of you... I think it will take longer for your mom, because she probably secretly wants u to get married to a man and have children, but soon or later she'll accept it.

I don't really expect much from this state when it comes to tolerance. We were HQ for the KKK during the revival, and a town like this is so backwater that I thank the gods every day that there isn't a mob with torches and pitchforks waiting for me on my way out to work. A surprising number of the residents believe vampires walk among us. -eyebrow quirk- Oh, but no one EVER suspects Danny of being a werewolf. EVER. Because that's just "too absurd." Never mind the fact that he howls at the moon and sheds. -eyeroll-

Anyways... for two of those five years, she was in another relationship, though. So I suppose it only really comes down to three years... which... honestly... if this were a heterosexual relationship, they'd be wondering why we haven't gotten married yet. Only reason I haven't proposed is because I'm trying to build a nest egg off of my meager Walmart salary to buy a promise ring and jumpstart the fund to gtfo Hoosier State.

Having read excerpts of the Satanic Bible, I have to say that its probably the most petty attempt at "going against the norm" that I have ever seen. Sure, people have the propensity for evil. I'm about as chill as you can get, but I still scare the crap out of my roommates on occasion for things I've said. I think its the respect that people have for others that prevents them from leaving everyone else out to dry. Not a sense of morality, but consequence. "If I hurt this person, they will be angry." "If I steal from work, I can get fired."

Yeeeeah... Jason's attempts at controlling chaos will leave him sorely disappointed. I think that he should just call himself "ecclectic" and be done with it.

While the roots of pagan beliefs are lost to years of persecution and mistranslation, I believe that the spirit of them is still alive, and that is where most of my pagan friends are. There's no set right way to practice Khemetic worship, for example, because its so buried under misconception, science fiction, and dead language that even two people with the same background in it can have completely different views on the matter. So most people practice in spirit of the belief, rather than putting emphasis on "this is the right/wrong way to worship."

Mom wants grandchildren, unfortunately. And she's not getting them from me, and she's not getting them from my brother (at least not at this point in time) because he's suffering from a severe dose of reality. He was the big guy on campus throughout high school and college, and now he's finding that once he's no longer the football player or the president of his fraternity, he's just like the rest of us: living off the legal minimum, having potential but nowhere to go with it, unable to make friends because the ones he used to have stayed the same while he changed. And, thusly, cannot get a girlfriend to save his life. I kind of want to present him with "now you know how it feels" because he made my life a living hell for a good amount of my childhood, but that's a low blow and he already feels sorry for mistreating me, though he has yet to apologize. But why punish him further? The universe seems to have done that to him enough.

Anyway, my dad is pretty chill about homosexuals. A lot of his friends from his workplace are gay. They come out to him, expecting to get hit in the face because my dad seems to be straight-laced at first, and then he's all "-shrug- So where'd you meet him?" The way he put it to me is: "The part about being gay that people get so offended about... you're only that for... maybe an hour or two (if you're REALLY good), in your own home, with a partner of your choosing. I only get offended when they're making out in public, and I get offended when straight people make out in public." I love my dad.

I love your dad, Hyena! \o/ He wouldn't be able to live where I live though then. Because I happen to live in front of a... clandestine transvestites brothel. And it's still kinda awkward when I'm coming home from afternoon school and see them walking around, the malest faces and the most feminine clothing, so feminine you'd never see a woman wearing things like that. Because it borders the ridiculous. But eh... I guess what makes me awkward is that ecuadorian slang for gay are all foods ("papaya", "avocado", "guava", "badea"... maybe because they're fruity? LOL), and my dad is quick to comment... thus, destroying my like for fruit xD

And thanks Thoth, haha~ I find it funny, I considered becoming a LaVeyan satanist, but hey, too much work explaining people what that means and implies, so I just leave it at "atheist".

He has nothing against drag queens, actually. His friend Ed is in theater and its rare to see him on the state in anything but a dress. But yes... the public displays of affection would probably cause him to seek an alternate route. xD

CORN IS VEGETABLE IF I SAY SO! D<

And I'm not a fruit. Because if gay men are guavas, avacados, and papayas... (hehe... kumquat. That's another good one.) And I'm a girl who likes girls... and gay men are fruits, then that makes me a vegetable.

Mmm... that makes me sound comatose, though. >>

I COULD BE ASPARAGUS! I loooove me some asparagus.

Or maybe I'm an herb. If I'm an herb, I wanna be basil!

Asparagus is alright. I'd be jealous if you got to be an herb, lol

Hmm, if you were an openly gay man I think you would be in danger, Hyena... but being a woman and probably not an openly gay person, I don't think the community knows you're gay... or if they do, they don't care. Now, vampires and werewolves, those are legends. Werewolves are merely bigfoots, silly. Biologically, its impossible for part-dog, part-human creatures to stand... they are obviously of an ape-origin... closely linked to Austrolopithicus.

So she was dating another woman? Bummer... but I suppose you could count that as an "open relationship" for 2 years, so technically you both were still together for 5. Why work at Walmart? I hate that place... Not to mention, wages are low, right?

Whether the person is morale or not, the results are the same... I think religious people tend to be more morale, because they fear the consequences of God's wrath. But for the people that are atheists, I think their motivation, like you said, is consequences and fear of rejection and/or starting a fight. Chaos is only chaos because it is the uncontrollable... but controlling it, than it is no longer chaos... even your friend, Jason should realize that.

I've never heard of Khemetic worship before, what exactly is that? The only wrong way to worship is by hurting others...
or doing human sacrifice, which is wrong.

I think your brother will adjust to reality and get over himself... If he doesn't have a gf, than that's his own fault...
Wow, your dad sounds awesome... Also, I never understood why ppl got offended by others making out in public... I don't see how public affection should be offensive, I mean, as long as you're not having sex, which would be illegal to do in public anyways...
