He really was! He seems like such a nice guy. I would have gotten an autograph or something, but I didn't have a pen in my choir robe, and I don't think I would've been allowed close anyways. They probably had guards I couldn't see. :XD And I know this sounds dumb, but he had on a really cool looking t-shirt.

Yay. Let's be shallow and take extra enjoyment in his fashion sense

I meant that sincerely, by the way.

It is shallow, but it really was a nice t-shirt! It's so weird the things you remember. I was looking to see if I could find any pictures, but I forgot he changed into a suit for the actual thing. He just had the t-shirt and jeans on backstage.

I'm not faulting the shallowness angle, like I said.
Sounds like a cool experience. This was something your choir was nominated for, or what?

We sent a tape of ourselves singing Joy To the World and something else (It changed every year, I think) and then we went during a certain date. We always got in, because we actually practiced. It was always pretty fun.

Cool beans. Sounds like it was quite the event. My choir participated in some big regional showcases, but I don't quite recall what was needed to qualify.

I've realized the majority of my posts in here have been so shallow and self-involved (psh, like this one isn't as well)
Not a good impression I am making, eh?

I guess, but I know you from the House of Hoff too, so I already have an opinion of you. Besides, I'd be silly to judge you or anyone from a single conversation.

It was pretty cool, but after doing the same trip for three years in a row it got tiring. Epcot only changes so much year by year, and we didn't really have the time to explore absolutely everything. Plus, the lights are really hot and you have to wear heavy robes. Usually at least one person faints.

Oh gosh!
I nearly fainted on stage once. I just wasn't feeling well though, it wasn't due to any of the circumstances. I was on the top riser too, and it was in the apse of a church, with a marble floor below it. About half way though the song, I couldn't muster what it took, so I just started mouthing the words. But I couldn't even maintain that, so I had to sit down, or risk taking a head first tumble onto that floor. Once the song had ended, they stopped the programme and pulled me off stage. If I hadn't been so disoriented, I would have been terribly embarrassed.
Hopefully no catastrophes happened during your performances.

You probably accidentally locked your knees. My teachers are always drilling it into me not to do that. I never fainted, but one year the heat and lights did get to me, and although I made it through the performance they kept me from doing the second one. We did two that year, instead of just one, although that was the first year I ended up nearly fainting.

Actually, I was feeling ill before the performance. I remember being scolded for not being all there in the warm-ups. Ha, I showed them :stare:

I think the stress of performance can do that. Even when you perform quite a bit you can get queasy.

Yeah you showed them!

YAY!

I love the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
I had no interest in watching Glee until I heard they were doing Rocky Horror on the show...somehow I still didn't see it...
Anyway, how is everyone? ^_^

I unno. I saw the premier episode of Glee, and thought it was quite well done, but It's not really my thing, so I didn't return to it. And. I must admit I'm a bit wary of them taking venerable properties like RHPS, and tweaking it for a high school and primetime television format...

I've always watched Glee and I've never seen Rocky Horror Picture Show, so I'm the opposite of you guys. I saw that episode though, though I can't really judge either way.

Biggles:: Well I don't watch very much TV, so I try not to get involved in a series that you have to watch the previous episodes to understand the current episode. The last show that I watched for a whole season was the 1st season of Fringe. Well, Weeds too, at least I think I probably watched a whole season, and then the plot just got really complicated. @[email protected];;
But yeah, I was wondering how they were going to make Rocky Horror average-viewer friendly... :/

Fairy:: You should watch it. :]
If you don't get easily offended. Or freaked out. I've seen people get all "omg wtf!!?" about it, which I don't understand, but I live in the Bible Belt, so I guess those kind of reactions should be expected from some people.

I'm kind of a prude, although I'm trying to loosen up. I'd probably be fine although it seems like parts of it would definitely make me uncomfortable. Plus, I heard they always pick on people who are seeing it for the first time. If I do go and see it I want to go and see it with some friends.

well hello.
I've only ever seen Rocky once,
and it was pure brilliance,
but then again, Tim Curry is god.

Haha.
Well fairy, maybe get some of those friends together and have a little viewing party with them? Rent it from a video store, if you still have one of those around. That way you can avoid the hazing. I know there are some neato theatres around here that play it every friday, but I've only ever watched it in the privacy of my own home. I'm a bit of a prude too* (so says my mother) and I could see how things could make you uncomfortable, but if you just roll with the punches, it's all good.

*This won't mean much to someone who isn't really into the Boosh, but god it was uncomfortable seeing the short film Sweet for the first time. It was like walking into a bedroom to find your cousin in flagrante.

Fairy:: Parts of it would probably make most first-time viewers uncomfortable. Parts of it made me uncomfortable (which is rather hard to do) the first time I watched it, but then again, I think I was like 12 the first time I saw it and was thinking things like "My god, how far are they going to go with this?" At certain points. I'd recommend watching it at home before going to a theater party. Because I've heard some stories from first-timers that aren't all that pleasant. :/
I haven't ever went to see it at the movies, but I want to. They have a theater in Kansas City that does it every saturday. I want to go with my mom. She's went before, dressed as Magenta, I don't know who I'd dress as. Two Magentas sounds kind of stupid. But she's my second favorite, after Dr. Frank.....I would just dress as him, but I couldn't handle the heels. XD;

Red:: Tim Curry is awesome. ^^

Shizuka:: You look like candy. I like your outfit.
And I agree about his voice. Sexy...

Biggles:: You know, I've only ever found it at one video store. Blockbuster didn't have it, which I thought was really weird since they were the only chain store here. They aren't even here though anymore. We have one video store (which is the one with Rocky Horror so I guess it all works out...)

And ew. :XD
