Link had a sneaky tactic, he reached into his item bag and pulled out a Deku nut, it was his last one though, so he'd have to act fast. He didn't want to warn Seh'ethil to cover his eyes, since the boy could do the same and it'd be useless, he tossed it, it burst, releasing a blinding flash of light, while the boy was blind he ran over to Seh'ethil and grabbed his sword. He stood in the middle of the road, the boy, still trying to get his sight back, was confused and distracted, giving time for Link to focus and activate the Triforce, he began to glow, turning his eyes a solid white, his sword filled with power.
In a burst of speed he performed his most powerful move, The Triforce Slash! The final strike sent the boy flying backward, he skid across the ground and stopped just outside the village, he was scarred and bleeding, but he would twitch a little. Link knew it would be a bad idea, he fell to his knees, exhausted from using so much power, but he took his chances anyway, despite the risks. He was a bit curious, the boy was alive, but he wouldn't get up, though Link tried his best to get up and brace for a fight when the boy finally stood up. The boy was extremely angry, you could hear him growling and panting, the pain from his injuries didn't stop him from taking his necklace off and throwing it to the ground. He started to laugh insanely "you're in for it now!!" The instant he was done talking, he fell on his hands and knees, he started to grow and morph at a rabid pace, his teeth and face would grow, his claws would pierce the ground, he grew into a giant white werewolf.
Link was a bit shocked from the disgusting transformation, he was so distracted that he didn't notice he was blown backwards by the wolves's mighty, ear piercing howl, until he stopped. Link was still so weak, he could hardly stand, let alone defend himself, the wolf grabbed him in its paws and was about to eat him, until Chuck finally found his bravery. He grabbed one of Link's spare weapons and ran over to the wolf, distracted by trying to eat Link, Chuck stabbed the dagger in its stomach, but the wolf did nothing but yelp and knock Chuck back and against the wall. Link couldn't break free because of his weak struggle, he gagged from the beast's foul breath, "Seh'ethil... help!" By that time, the magic had worn off, allowing Seh'ethil free use of his hand.

Seh'ethil quickly grabbed his bow from the ground, his eyes wide with fear from the sight of the wolf. He'd thought they'd finally won, with the battle plan Link had lashed out with. Link's final attack had been so mighty Seh'ethil didn't see how this child had managed to even transform. Still, he was determined to help his friend, even if intimidated by this giant beast. The archer shot an arrow at the wolves muzzle and another two at its shoulder.
The wolf loosened his grip on Link from the pain in his shoulder. He was snapping his jaws in the air, trying to break off the arrow that stuck out of his face. Seh'ethil ran up to them, pulled an arrow from his quiver and jabbed it directly into the werewolf's forearm. It let out another yelping noise and finally let Link go in the process. In desperate attempts at defense or maybe revenge the wolf swatted at both of them with its paws, hitting the archer down with a blow that'd been weakened from its arm and shoulder injuries.
Seh'ethil slammed against the ground and rolled, getting up only to pull Link out of the beast's current range. Standing on the tips of its toes the wolf held his head high into the sky, a deep howl escaping its ferocious jaws. It exposed his chest completely, and would prove the beast's pride was its downfall. The archer quickly snatched up the opportunity to attack this weak point, launching an arrow directly at its chest. It flew clean through, and even out the wolf's back. Blood began to drizzle down its white fur, matting it together. Seh'ethil took the moment to quickly glance at Link, and make sure his friend hadn't been further hurt in the entire process. He didn't yet have time to check on Chuck, assuming his own friends would take care of that.

The wolf fell to the ground, he slowly transformed back to his human form and died instantly, blood pooled around his chest. Link was slowly regaining his strength back and he could finally stand, he retrieved his weapons and walked over to pick up the crystal necklace on the ground. It shattered in his palm and turned to dust, the wind blew the dust away, leaving no trace of it behind. "Aww no!" Chuck and his friends yelled, they ran over to Link's side, "we traveled all this way for that crystal, and now its gone..." Chuck sighed and his head started to sag, "now I'll never see my wife again..." Link was confused, "what could that crystal really do...?" He asked Chuck.
"It gave you the power to fulfill your deepest desire, I dunno what that wolf kid's problem was... but I needed it to revive my dead wife, she died of an incurable disease. I'll never see her again until I pass on myself..." Link frowned, it was a sad tale Chuck told, but he at the same time of sadness was a bit glad the crystal was gone. Anyone with an evil heart could use it and destroy the whole world, just like the boy, it was a mystery why anyone made it or why it shattered, but it was best to just move on with their journey instead of ponder about it.
"I'm sorry Chuck... you have a pure heart, but the evil people outweigh the good, such a powerful crystal like that is something that should never exist again." Chuck was still upset, but he still had hopes of seeing his wife while hes still alive, "good luck kid, this is where we part ways... I'm sorry about lying to you before, I hope you can forgive me." Link finally smiled, "its alright Chuck, I forgive you, be safe on your travels, friend." Chuck and his friends retrieved their horses and rode off to the west, by that time the villagers had slowly came back outside, their fright turned to happiness when the wolf boy was killed. The woman and her daughter ran over to Link and Seh'ethil's side, "thank you so much... you killed the beast that ate my husband, it was either him or my daughter... though I begged him not to, he sacrificed himself for us." She started to cry, thinking back on it, "but, now that hes gone, we can go back to our normal lives, thank you so much!" She was happily sobbing, but at the same time she was also sad.
Link put his hand on her shoulder, "please, don't cry, you must show strength and take care of your daughter now," she wiped away the tears and she smiled, "is there anything we can do to repay you for saving our lives?" Link shook his head, "knowing everyone is unharmed is thanks enough for me... how about you Seh'ethil?"

Seh'ethil had taken Chuck and his friends rather lightly until this foreigner explained their story. It moved the elf a bit. He watched them ride off as people began to come out, and wondered if they shouldn't have stayed for some of the credit in saving the town - it had been brave of the man, after all, to leap in after that wolf.
Seh'ethil smiled softly at Link's modesty. "Bandages," He said, with a light laugh. The archer was holding the gash on his arm, and his robe kept sticking onto the scratch on his side, pulling out before it'd fully heal; it wasn't exactly pleasant. He'd felt sympathy for the villager's losses, yet in all the destruction they'd come across in their travels so far, he'd been learning to keep a more light hearted mood.
It seemed one of the villagers had already come prepared with such basic things as bandages, and she stepped forward and handed Seh'ethil some gauze. He hadn't really expected it, his request wasn't completely serious, yet he nodded a thanks to her all the same. Seh'ethil ended up sitting down in the crowd to apply them more easily. He was going to give the left over of it back to the woman he'd gotten it from, but she'd already disappeared amongst the various faces, so he put it in his pack instead.
"Do you need time to rest, Link?" Seh'ethil asked, seeing as his friend had seemed rather tired from the battle not long before. It was hard to speak over some of the villager's voices, most of them still offering thanks.

"I'll be alright, I don't need to rest anymore, perhaps we should move on now" he started to leave, but he was stopped by some villagers, "please, stay a bit longer, at least celebrate your victory with us" one villager begged, "yes, we may not have much to speak of, but let us offer all we can!" Said another, Link stepped back a bit, but their pleading made him decide to stay, the happy and excited villagers began to scramble and prepare for the party. Link turned around to look at the wolf boy's corpse, but it was gone, the blood pool was all that remained, though this shocked him he didn't want to think about him still being alive, it was impossible.
By the time the party was fully prepared it was night fall, the moon was full and bright, clouds would occasionally fly past and block the moonlight. There were lots of exotic foods places around the tables, the tables were in a circular pattern around the giant, roaring fire in the center. There was enough room between the tables and the fire to hold a band and a few dancers, "our Ocarina player can't be here tonight" announced one of the villagers before the band was about to play, "does anyone here know how to play the Ocarina?"
No one answered but Link finally spoke out, "I do", Link jumped over the tables, happy to play the instrument, its been years since hes played one. The band prepared their instruments, some were unknown to Link and he was excited to hear how they sounded, he tested his own instrument, to hear the notes. Though he had no idea what the song would be, he decided to make something up and hope the others would follow along, they all started to play their song and soon the woman danced around the fire to the beat, it was a fantastic display, and it made everyone dance a little, when the song ended everyone cheered and clapped while they enjoyed the food.
"Come on, lets hear another!" One villager yelled, others agreed with him, although Link wanted to he was told the next song didn't need the Ocarina. Sadly, he placed it with the other spare instruments and sat on a nearby bench, his absence wouldn't disrupt the band though. Some of the dancing women, part of the band, stood in front of the music players, one began to sing the song and the other women soon joined in, the language was unfamiliar to Link, but the song was so soothing that he just listened and enjoyed the melody. Their voices were so beautiful, it was like hearing a lullaby, it made him sigh with happiness.
"Isn't it beautiful Seh'ethil?" Link asked him, the song soon ended, everyone gave them a round of applause. The songs continued through the night, all beautifully executed, when the band was truly done, all the food was eaten and the fire was out. The band members gathered up their instruments while everyone else went home to go to sleep, "we have a spare few beds if you need to rest, heros" offered a village couple, "oh, no thank you, I'll stay outside, you can go though Seh'ethil" he walked over to the band before they went back home, "do you mind if I buy that ocarina from you?" He asked the band leader, "well, we have a few spares, so you can have it instead, you did good tonight kid, you're a natural Ocarina player." He was given the Ocarina and the band left to go to sleep.
He jumped up onto the nearest rooftop and placed the Ocarina in his side bag, he laid back, using his hands as a pillow and gazed up at the moon, the stars just enhanced the beauty of the night sky. After a while he ended up falling asleep, the song he played with the band would play in his dreams, it wouldn't leave his mind.
((God, I love the first song so much, it sends chills up my spine every time I listen to it, gotta love music from Chrono Cross. :D))

((Yeah, both of those songs are wonderful~!))
Seh'ethil smiled wildly as the celebration started. He wasn't at all used to people's gratitude, and was amazed by the different ways of showing it, and how intensely all these people displayed it. The archer was rather interested as his friend joined the band, not having realized Link could play the instrument so skillfully.
The elf swayed lightly to the music, feeling, like many in the gathering, rather entranced by it. Both songs played were graceful, beautiful and well executed. As were those to follow. "Yes. It is quite beautiful.." Seh'ethil responded slowly, as if it took him a while to do so with his mind on the enchanting tune. He'd ended up helping himself to one of the sandwiches Yeto and Yeta had packed him, and gave the other two to a poverty stricken family who couldn't seem to scrap even off the food the small festival offered. At least that way, they wouldn't go bad in his backpack. Seh'ethil had never really be the most generous of elves in the past, yet he'd like to think he'd grown up more since then; maybe even thanks to Link's example.
"Until tomorrow Link," The elf said as he watched his companion go off. Seh'ethil followed the village couple in acceptance of their hospitality. He knew the bed they offered wouldn't live up to the one he'd slept in at Yeto and Yeta's house, yet he still thanked them for their kindness.
"It's a small room, but you can make do," The lady of the couple said, opening up a door to the room he would sleep in. The elf just smiled and nodded, and the woman bid him good night, closing the door behind her as she retired to her own room with her husband. In the end, having found the bed too uncomfortable for his tastes, Seh'ethil ended up sleeping on the dirt floor. It really wasn't bad, and in comparison he certainly preferred it. Of course, he wouldn't ever tell the house owner's that, it'd be rude considering they'd so kindly allowed him rest in their home.
Seh'ethil woke up early the next morning, a while before the sun was to rise, making it still dark. A person could barely consider such a time morning, yet the elf had deemed it so. He barely snuck out of the room and house he'd stayed in without waking the other occupants. The elf decided he might take a short stroll, not having anything else to do. It would, at the very least, pass the time until he could find Link, and they could move on.

The sun was almost fully risen in the sky by the time everyone was cleaning up after the party, sweeping up the ashes from the fire and putting the tables away, during this time Link woke up with a loud yawn and a stretch. He slid off the roof, landed on the ground and went off to find Seh'ethil, "Seh'ethil? Where are you?!" Link would shout, hoping to get a reply, he didn't and it started to worry him. He looked everywhere and Seh'ethil couldn't be found, "Seh'ethil!!" Link shouted again, sounding more desperate to find his friend.

Seh'ethil, having just barely heard his name being called, ended up sneaking up on his companion. He tapped Link on the shoulder from behind, and smiled. "Good morning, Link," He greeted, surprised Link had seemed so concerned about his where abouts.
A couple of men who were carrying one of the heavier tables nearly bumped into the two, apologizing as they narrowly missed them. "Sorry lads," One of them said, before continuing on with their clean up duties. Seh'ethil frowned slightly.
"Shall we continue on?" The archer asked, seeing as it appeared as though their duty, per se, in this village had been done.

"Which direction though? I'm seriously clueless, east, west, north? Where?" He looked all around, until something caught his eye, a path leading into a mountain, dead trees lined the path to it. There was smoking coming from the top of it, "a volcano? How could we have missed that?" One villager had walked over them, "you'll need to go through that volcano to go any further, don't worry, the paths are so high up you can hardly feel the heat, people use it all the time." He walked off before Link could say thanks, Link shrugged his shoulders and ran over to the volcano entrance, the ground was covered in black ash, a sign it once erupted before.
He could already feel the heat bursting from the entrance, he couldn't imagine how hot it was on the inside. He stepped in, hesitantly at first, and the heat hit him like a ton of bricks, he started to sweat instantly, it sort of exhausted him. "Can hardly feel the heat, yeah right..." Link grumbled, he had to use his sword as a cane to keep himself up, the lava was surprisingly high, just underneath the rock bridge that connects to the other side. The lava would bubble and burst, but luckily it didn't occur around the bridge, allowing them to safely cross. He wondered how anyone could make such a well constructed bridge in an active volcano, but he stopped wondering when he heard hissing at his feet, the heat was melting the bottom of his boots little by little.
This made him concerned for Seh'ethil, so he grabbed his friend's hand and jumped as far as he could to the other side, they landed safely and ran out of the mountain. It was so nice to be outside in a lot cooler weather, "the environments in this region are very strange, huh Seh'ethil?" He asked, laughing.

Seh'ethil frowned slightly, it would only be their luck that their two previous terrains had managed to form together to create what was their destination. The heat of the hot desert and the painful climb through the frozen mountain would only vaguely help describe their descent into the volcano, however.
The unbearable heat of the lava and steam was on a completely different level than the hot sun they'd had to face in the desert, and Seh'ethil wondered if this wasn't what it was like to step directly into a fire. The entire atmosphere was hard to overcome even with these first bit in, and he could barely imagine how they might get through it. "Link.. maybe we should.. head back," Seh'ethil said, tiredly. Yet, his voice was cut out by the pop of a large lava bubble, and so his words were probably not heard.
Just as the elf thought he would collapse from dehydration and being overheated, Link grabbed his hand and brought them both passed it. The change in temperature was amazing, and certainly a lot more refreshing. "Strange is not the word for it.." Seh'ethil said, he would have joined his friend in the laughter but found some trouble doing so. He grabbed up a small container of water off his side belt and took a drink.
Interestingly enough, a head of them was a village made completely of stone, probably carved out of the volcano. Every house seemed very primitive, and the entire thing looked empty, as if its inhabitants had moved on or just.. moved out for the day. Seh'ethil started walking towards it with Link, seeing as they'd have to go through it to move on, as the large walls on either side of them made it seem like going around wasn't an option. On the other side the archer could already see a slightly rugged field, so he assumed that was the place to be.

((I'm sorry again for not posting in forever, I had serious writer's block, but I finally made something up. I know, its kinda stupid, but it was all I could come up with. ^_^; ))
He was concerned why it was so silent around them, but he took a step and the earth shook, a giant Brontosaurus walked by them and started to eat from the large tree nearby. Link fell backward due to immense size and his surprise that such a creature still existed. "Did we... go back in time?" Link asked Seh'ethil, he slowly went up to the dinosaur and put his hand on its thigh, its skin felt rough and dry, but it finished eating at that time and looked at Link. It turned its long neck and its head was within Link's reach, it grunted at him but Link decided to be nice and pet its head. It let out another grunt and walked away to find another tree, shaking the Earth underneath its feet. He laughed a bit, then some more, "I think we're going crazy, no way can these creatures still exist!" He was just denying it all of course, it felt so real when Link touched it, it was a living, breathing dinosaur.
He was so excited that he wanted to see more of them, he acted like a little kid again, running off to the field, but he stopped when he stepped in a puddle. It was red and thick like blood, which destroyed his excitement, he shook the blood off, "okay, something has happened here... someone must've killed all the villagers, or something." He took a more thorough look around and found some more blood, but no bones, it was a strange mystery that he wanted to solve. He stopped looking when more shaking occurred, a mighty roar could be heard, it was some smaller dinosaurs running by and they were being chased by a Tyrannosaurus Rex.
The T. Rex managed to get one dinosaur in its powerful jaws and he swallowed it whole, it continued the chase all the way out to the giant forest on the other side of the field. It was gruesome seeing such a little thing get killed by an intimidating monster, but Link stopped focusing on that, "will we be able to make it out of here alive?" Link asked himself, you could hear a Pterodactyl's screech every once in awhile, herds of Triceratops would run by, looking for some more food. Link decided to rest in one of the available houses for now and he edged Seh'ethil to enter too, before he risked the chance of getting eaten.

((Don't worry~ I've been rather sluggish in responding myself; so my equal apologies. &It sounds good to me.))
Seh'ethil was rather shocked as these giant prehistoric creatures roamed around them, and equally taken a back by his friend's apparent inability to comprehend their existence. He'd heard of such 'dinosaurs' few times before, but as when they'd run into that powerful dragon, the elf had thought them to be only of myth. From what Link had mentioned he was slowly piecing together that such things were only once extinct, which made their appearance all the more wonderful and confusing.
When Link approached the long necked dinosaur Seh'ethil was about to pull him back, caution him away from it. He was surprised, though, when he realized the calmness of the thing; it was clearly not of harm to them. The near approaching T-rex, however, was not. The elf gave a slight sigh of relief when the carnivore disappeared back into the next forest, although knowing things like it roamed so freely and so close brought him not reassurance. "Of all the things I have witnessed, Link, I have seen the weirdest, and most frightening with you," Seh'ethil mentioned, gladly following him into the slight safety of the nearby house.
The archer, however, was not completely fearful for his life. Despite that Link had questioned whether they'd make it out alive or not, he had faith that they would. Seh'ethil, having nothing else to do to pass the time as they hid out, began to study his arrows, feeling at the tips to ensure they had not dulled. He nearly dropped his pack and quiver, however, when he heard what he thought was very human screaming outside.
The archer stuck his head out a carved out window, and although he could hear the screams, saw no one in sight. Luckily, there wasn't any nearby dinosaurs waiting to bite his head clean off, either. "Link.. do you hear that?" Seh'ethil asked, starting to question his sanity. He looked further out, almost slipping out of the structure completely, yet there was still not a soul in sight.

"I can hear it Seh'ethil" he answered, joining his friend in looking out the window, he was also clueless as to where the screams came from. But, after looking around and waiting he noticed a woman with red and wild hair, she was wearing an outfit made of various animal skins and she was being chased by a group of Velociraptors. Forgetting his own safety he jumped out the window and gave chase to the vicious predators, he managed to grab hold of one raptor's tail and he threw it through the air, it flew all the way to the forest the T. Rex entered, screeching loudly as it flew. It's screech made the other raptors' stop chasing the woman and turn around, facing Link, who had his sword drawn, ready to kill the obnoxious lizards.
They would screech, growl and grunt at each other, as if they were communicating, but they all ended up running after Link, ready to kill and eat him. He jumped to the side and swung his sword, cutting some of the raptor's heads off and their bodies collapsed on the ground, squirting blood out their necks. This infuriated the other remaining raptors and they ran around in a circle, trying to confuse Link, one tried to do a sneak attack behind him but Link used his sword to block its jaws. He swung the sword upwards, cutting the sneaky dinosaur's head in half, causing Link to get his hat covered in blood. The ones still circling him stopped and all jumped at once to kill him, but doing his famous spin attack he knocked them all back, also cutting them in half and they slowly died on the ground.
He caught sight of one raptor trying to flee, but he quickly caught up to it and tackled it, getting it in a headlock, they were coated in a cloud of dirt from the struggling and screeching dinosaur. But its screeching soon ended when Link snapped its neck, you could hear the sickening crack, the cloud finally disappeared and Link stood up over the body, panting from loss of energy. He growled and let out his testosterone fueled anger on the dead body, he kicked it and it landed half-way across the field with a loud thud. But, soon he calmed down and gained his energy back, he looked around for the woman he saved, but she was nowhere to be found once again.

Seh'ethil was relieved he wasn't alone in hearing these calls, although he wasn't so sure that didn't mean they weren't both loosing their minds. By the time the archer had realized what was going on and gotten out of the house, Link was already finishing off the sharp toothed attackers.
He'd hadn't seen the woman Link had, and in result wasn't even aware of her existence beyond the screams. Seh'ethil peered around, as if expecting the source of them to unveil itself, but having witnessed no one simply ran over to Link.
The archer took a second to ensure his friend had suffered no obvious wounds, then looked around once again, still expecting to find whoever had been shouting. He wondered even if it was possible for those raptors to make such a human-like sound, yet the elf saw no reason for Link to have so courageously jumped out at them if there had been no one in danger. "What happened?" He asked, having missed out on much of the action despite the window view.

"I saw them... Chasing after a woman, but, shes nowhere to be found now... Could I have imagined it?" He asked, taking his hat off and shaking off the blood he just now noticed while frantically looking around. "Maybe... she was a ghost?" He asked once more, sounding a bit crazy, he put his hat back on "maybe the raptors attacked the village, killing and eating the inhabitants, now their spirits haunt the land until we avenge them!" It did sound crazy, but it also sounded possible, they were, of course, in an area full of once thought to be extinct dinosaurs. "This can't be a psychotic episode we're both having... can it?" He had one question after another, maybe the stress of battle finally got to him he thought.
"Either way... perhaps we should explore more thoroughly."

Seh'ethil had to laugh lightly at his friend, although not out of disrespect. Despite that the notions seemed like no laughing matter, the elf found no other way to take them but in humor. He had to admit, however, at this point he was wondering all of the same things.
"Perhaps.. you need rest my friend," The archer said. Part of him didn't quite want to believe this was real, but the other part didn't want to think they were insane, either. Regardless, Seh'ethil knew he'd help Link figure out what had happened, if not also out of his own curiosity.
The elf, not wanting to venture out into the forest homes of such creatures as the T-rex, decided to start their search by looking through some more of the emptied houses. Seh'ethil didn't find much of interest in the ones he'd checked, although there was one particular house which had, had a large boulder wedged in its doorway, with no other exists, entrances or window holes. "What about in here?" Seh'ethil asked, calling Link's attention to it. He'd started to push the heavy rock, but its weight prooved too much for him.

He assisted him in pushing the rock, they slowly but surly moved it out of the way, it was a lot heavier than its size made them think. The sun helped them see in the doorway, but not exactly all of the house due to no windows, "here, you look in the house Seh'ethil" he focused and the Triforce began to glow, he put his fist inside the house and it illuminated everything. He was too focused on the Triforce to look for himself, he just hoped that Seh'ethil would be quick in his search.

Seh'ethil nodded, stepping inside its old structure. To his slight surprise, the house was completely empty, as had the others been. "What reason would they have to block the entrance if there was nothing to hide?" The elf asked out loud. He ventured a bit deeper in, and closer to the back wall he could see the vague outline of some sort of opening in the floor. "A hole.." The archer said, thinking out loud once again. He was now quick to notice why this house was different than the others; as the large, square hole lead down, deep into the Earth.
Seh'ethil began to walk down the hole, on a stone staircase where each step had been cut out from heavy rock in the ground. The light of Link's triforce faded behind him as he continued on, yet he was not completely blinded by the dark as he still had his own night vision.
When the elf had made it down the staircase a short corridor awaited him, and on the other side of that, a room. It smelt foul. Strangely enough the room was already lit, but when he'd gone inside he noticed it was not from torch light. There were random green flames in each corner and among the edges of the walls, all of which gave off a very spooky glow. Yet, worse than that was what they lit up... corpses.
The archer grabbed his bow, as one of the reanimated bodies began to moan, walk toward him. It was clear these were no ordinary corpses; zombies, rather. Seh'ethil shot it quickly, and it literally froze in place when it was hit. The elf had hoped it would at least have fallen, or sunk into the ground, but instead it simply sat, huddled against itself. Seh'ethil continued on, taking a second to wait in front of the zombie to see if it was truly immobilized. Satisfied when the thing didn't move, he moved forward. There were more. The archer went through the same process of shooting them and walking on, advancing even if it was against better judgment. The room made him very uneasy, and as he neared the end of it where a large, flat stone laid in between two pillars, it illuminated completely. The dim green flames grew and flashed, turning into normal mixes of red and orange. Seh'ethil looked up and took a step back at what he saw, bumping into something fleshy in the process. What he'd seen was a skeleton hung to the wall, more than likely a sacrificial one from the general look of the room. This concerned him a lot less when a rotten hand began to reach around his chest, as he'd apparently backed up into another zombie.
Seh'ethil pulled himself free of the thing's grasp, jumping up on the flat rock in front of him. The rock had writing in a tongue that the elf had never seen nor did he think heard before, it was probably the assumed deceased villager's. Everything Link had mentioned about ghosts and all of the things Seh'ethil had tried to laugh about earlier were really sinking in now. The archer kicked at the zombie's face, then shot it with one of his arrows. It froze, as had the others. Now, with the room bright with light, he realized he'd missed a lot of zombies. And each and every one of them was slowly dragging itself over to him, creating such a herd of corpses he wouldn't be able to escape through or around them. Seh'ethil was sure he could cry when he noticed the few he'd frozen getting over here were slowly coming back to life; or whatever undead state gained them movement, and joining with the rest.
The archer shot at as many as he could, but it wasn't slowing the group down by much. He was sure he was only biding himself time in what seemed destined to become his grave now. "Link!" He called desperately, yelping as one of the zombies tried to bite into his ankle. He shot it quickly. He didn't think his friend could ever hear him this far down, but Seh'ethil hoped at the very least Link would realize he'd gone and come. Just as the elf thought he'd rid himself of the first row of zombies, they began to dethaw, reanimate themselves.

Hearing Seh'ethil's faint cry for help he used the Triforce's light to guide him down the dark stairway. He soon noticed the various zombies and had a crazy idea, he grabbed the ocarina in his item bag, quickly he focused the Triforce's power into it, making the ocarina glow brightly. He put his faith in the instrument and played this short song, a beam of light shot in from the ceiling and froze the zombies in place. "Hah! It worked!" He said triumphantly, he wasted no time in killing off the zombies, they'd break from their frozen state and moan before they thud against the ground, finally dead.
"Man... its been awhile since I used an Ocarina like that." He said, laughing afterwards, "are you alright Seh'ethil?"

Seh'ethil climbed down from the rock once the last of the zombies had fallen, clearly a bit shaken. "Yeah, thanks Link..." He said, wishing he hadn't came down here in the first place. The tactic Link had used was rather interesting, and Seh'ethil was in slight amazement at how a song could cause such an effect. He looked back up at the skeleton which hung to the wall, sure that the only thing holding its bones in place now were the spiderwebs which laced around them. Before he was curious, now it gave him the shivers.
"Do you think this means anything?" Seh'ethil asked, although he assumed Link's guess was as good as his. The elf started to back up, and then turned around completely to walk out. He'd had enough of dark, zombie infested places for the moment, and would much prefer to sit up with the dinosaurs in fresh air.

"Well... I've been through zombie fights before, but the zombies were made from Ganondorf's dark magic, they weren't actual people. I honestly have no idea how to explain them or the skeleton on the wall..." It confused him so, but for now, he'd rather leave with Seh'ethil and enjoy the fresh air outside, the air in that room was foul and unbearable. When they made it back outside, he sighed loudly and frustratingly, "should we just go? First dinosaurs, then zombies? I feel like we're going crazy!" He was stressing out, all he wanted to do was leave and never turn back, even if all the villagers were ghosts in need of revenge on the predators.
"But, to be honest, I don't know which direction to take..." He looked around, there were gaps in the mountains around the whole area, but which ones would lead them to civilization? "You choose Seh'ethil, please..."

Seh'ethil copied Link's descision to take a look around as he tried to pick out which gap would be best to go for. Three of them looked identical, and medium in size. Another was huge, big enough to fit herd after herd of dinosaur. And the last he gave any notice to, was very small in comparison, lined with stones that looked relatively uneasy, like they could give way to collapse and block the path at any moment.
The largest one seemed like the reasonable choice, considering a path to a town would probably be rather wide. Yet the elf shook his head against the thought, and picked its opposite - the tiny, unstable one. "That one," He said, starting out in a walk towards it which slowly gained into a run. The archer didn't want to spend much time out in these open fields. "We're less likely to become a sharp toothed monster's lunch if we pick a narrowed route," Seh'ethil said, explaining his reasoning.
When they reached the start of the decided path, the elf stopped to peer down it, making sure it was clear. It twisted part way through so you could only see half way, but it didn't change his descision. From beyond the twist a lone raptor wandered out, much like those Link had killed off earlier. Seh'ethil shot it without warning, and it collapsed to the ground, dead from the single arrow in its skull. He waited further, to ensure there weren't more beyond that twist. Satisfied, he continued on through the path with Link.
To their misfortune, after the turn there'd been a collapse of rocks; probably why the raptor had turned back. Seh'ethil started to climb over it, although since the pile was mostly made of loose pebbles and thin sands, it was hard to keep his grip. When the archer made it to the top he slid down the other side, the rest of the path looked clear, although it continued on, on a slant, probably in match to the mountain's terrain. Walking up hill like that was proving itself tiring, but they had a long, slide-like path down once they hit the top. Seh'ethil was sure he could hear the sound of running water, probably at the end of this path, so he hurried on.

Link followed Seh'ethil closely behind him as he led the way, he wasn't sure using the suggested path would be a smart idea, but he was sure Seh'ethil knew what he was doing. He was a bit surprised when Seh'ethil shot the raptor, almost feeling a bit sorry for it, but he killed many more before his friend did, he felt guilty instead. The terrain was a bit tough and tiring, but the sound of running water had made him feel better. He ran carefully behind Seh'ethil down the steep hill and after a little more running and passing through some trees they came upon a gently flowing waterfall pouring into a river. He splashed some of the ice cold water in his face, taking off his hat he stuck his head under the waterfall, the climate was very humid, possibly from the volcano, so it was very refreshing to do such a thing.
"Ahh..." he sighed with relief from the cold water, "man, you gotta try this Seh'ethil" he said as he took his head out from under the water. He shook his head to dry his hair off and then he put his hat back on.

Seh'ethil was a bit more hesitant to stick his head in the water, but ended up taking up Link's suggestion and doing so anyways. He pulled back quickly, finding it far too cold for his tastes, but not in time to stop his hair and part of his robe from getting wet.
The archer made a slightly sour face, but soon found it really was rather rejuvenating. He took a step back from the water's edge as something large an ominous fell down the waterfall, something he hadn't quite been able to make out. Seh'ethil looked into the river's water to see if he couldn't locate whatever it had been. A large fish probably the length of the elf's entire arm jumped out of the running water, splashing him as it landed back in. Seh'ethil fell back and laughed slightly, since not only had he been caught off guard and splashed by a fish, but he'd been kind of frightened by it, too.
"Do you think we'll find some sort of village if we keep walking?" Seh'ethil asked. He grabbed a few locks of his hair and rung it out, trying to stop the water from dripping.

Link laughed along with Seh'ethil at what happened, but got serious when he asked the question "I don't know... I can't sense any other living thing besides you and the various dinosaurs around here. But we probably will. People can live anywhere since we adapt so quickly to different places, there may have been even more people living here... but, like I said before, can't sense anyone else." After a little bit of rest they continued on, following the river's edge, they came up to a cliff, the river was flowing into a large lake at the bottom where some various dinosaurs were drinking from.
There was no other route for them to take unless they travel through the trees, but they'd risk the chance of running into a T. Rex, and he didn't want to become lunch. He gathered his courage and jumped off the cliff, diving into the water below and making a huge splash, startling the dinosaurs. They ended up running away before Link resurfaced, he looked around, wondering where they went, but he shrugged it off and climbed onto land. He shook off the water, "come on Seh'ethil! You can do it!" Link shouted, encouraging his friend to jump down.
