"Swimming?" Seth repeated. It was an interesting goal, considering you'd usually take something like it for granted when there wasn't creatures waiting to devour you. "I don't know, myself..." The teen replied, trailing off. He smiled lightly, even though what he was thinking about neither brought him joy or laughter. "Find a new school, maybe."

Seth's answer felt silly to him, like there'd been something wrong with it. Like after this entire incident he should want nothing to do with schools, and maybe that he should have never wanted anything to do with them in the first place. He pressed the notion from his mind and reached over to hold Lex's hand, if only because he wanted to touch him. "You're different than most people, Lex," Seth commented, although he meant it in no insulting way.

Lex took Seths hand said "I've been told that." Lex began to think about what Seth had said. Lex looked at Seth and said "This might sound weird but i don't really want to out of he" Seth gave him and strange look which resulted in Lex saying "Not because i want to die but because if i get out of here i'll have to go home and i'm not ready to go home after Sarah. She was the reason i came here. Also because i might never see you again and i don't want that to happen."

Seth couldn't help but smile when Lex explained his reasoning behind wanting to stay. In his own ways, the teen had felt the same way, after all. "I don't really want to leave either, Lex," Seth mentioned finally. He leaned forward and kissed him.

"This might seem sort of weird to suggest.. But, my friend.. Well, this guy I knew, he has a TV in his dorm room. And a lot of movies. We could see if it works, pass time watching them," Seth said. His voice had cracked and faded a little when he'd said 'my friend,' as he came to the realization that person was long gone with everyone else. Yet the teen had to put the thought behind him.

Lex smiled at Seth and said "Sounds good." He got up from the bed and went to move the bookcase. He wasn't sure if he wanted to leave the room but the idea of watching a film was a good idea. With this he then moved the bookcase and unlocked the door. He opened it slightly to peak though to check if there was anything there. There wasn't. He turned to Seth and said "The coast is clear. lead the way"

Seth nodded, passing Lex and opening the door only slightly more, slipping through its crack. It was as if he felt opening it all the way would force something to jump out at them, for no reason other than having a currently painfully paranoid imagination.

The dorm room Seth had mentioned was in another section of them completely. As the two were forced down a rather dark hallway, the teen couldn't help but start to feel maybe it had been a bad idea to leave after all. Yet, he was relieved when they'd finally arrived at his late friend's dorm, having not had any trouble doing so.

"Give me a second," Seth said. He hadn't discarded the safety pin he'd used to pick the lock of the other room, so he got to work. Part way through his attempt, however, he finally checked the door, only to realize it had been unlocked the entire time. Seth almost laughed at himself as he walked in, for not having tried opening it sooner.

The lights in the room were still on, and Seth did a half-hoped look around, as if he might find someone. Of course, the place was empty. To the edge of the bed, in a place where you could watch it from the bed as well as a couch on the side, sat the before promised television. Seth, disregarding all the memories he shared with friends of this room, started to dig through a shelf of movies. He put a few on the floor, as if eligible candidates for what they might watch. "Got any movie preferences?" Seth asked, getting up and pushing a dresser in front of the door. This dorm didn't seem to have anything such as a book case, but the heavy piece of furniture would make do.

Lex walked into the room and looked around. He then looked at Seth and said "Not really" The two boys pushed the a wordrobe against the door to make sure if there was anything out there they couldn't get in. Lex then sat on edge of the bed and positioned himself so he could see the telly

Seth nodded, then turned on the tv, pushed a video disc into a DVD player that sat beside it. He'd ended up making the descision by grabbing a random movie from a pile, so the teen really wasn't all that sure what he'd picked. The movie began, starting with the usual warnings of copyrights, adverts for others like it, and then finally the intro. He hit play, and scenes began to fall into place.

The movie ended up being a horror mystery, which almost seemed inappropriate considering all that'd been going on. Seth almost wanted to change it, but ended up watching through it anyway. He'd taken a seat on the couch, but half way through the video he ended up moving over to the bed, to sit with Lex. Seth put his hand behind Lex's back, supporting his weight with the bed, and leaned to kiss him. The movie, which had previously been the main event, slowly turned into nothing more than background noise to him now.

As Lex kissed Seth the film came to an end. Lex moved up the bed slightly as he was close to the edge and nearly falling off. He beckoned to Seth to move further up the bed. Lex looked around the room.

Seth moved up with Lex, tilting his friend's head up slightly so he might kiss him just under his jaw, to the top of his neck. After a while the movie turned to white noise, and let off such an irritating sound with it that Seth had to get up, walk over and switch the tv off. He stopped before going back to Lex, deciding to put another movie in instead. This one had a much lighter feel to it.

When the second movie had finished Seth got up again to look around the room. There was a small stash of munchies in a secluded corner; chips, unpopped popcorn, warm sodas. Junk food that was more or less not allowed in the dorm, at least not if it was how a regular semester was supposed to be. If everyone weren't missing or dead. The school's stricter rules included keeping their students healthy, and they'd already decided foods of that sort didn't help their process. Seth tossed a few of the choices across the room and over to Lex, if he wanted any. Seth would have preferred something else personally, and figured he'd go get it; his own dorm wasn't that far away and he'd stashed some food there for survival purposes.

The teen pushed the wardrobe blocking the door just slightly out of the way - enough that he could get passed and through the door, but not so much that it'd be hard to reposition. "I'll be right back," Seth said. He wasn't sure if he should be going alone, but he was confident he could make it to his own room without anything horrid happening.

Sure enough, only few moments later Seth had returned. He slid back through his marked crack in the door, then pushed the wardrobe back into place. On his return the teen had heard one of the monstrous screeches of those creatures, and had ran all the way back. He wouldn't tell Lex, but he also wouldn't be leaving this room alone again. The teen dropped down a fairly large sack he'd carried from its room, full of mostly non perishable foods, but also some which were still far from expiry. He'd put another movie in before picking something out to eat, feeling a bit uneasy from hearing the creature, he'd almost lost his appetite. Seth offered Lex the bag, too, like he had the snacks earlier.

Lex refused the bag. He seems a bit uneasy. I wonder why Lex thought. He looked at Seth and asked him "Did something happen on the way back from your dorm? It's only you seem a tad bit jumpy." Lex just looked at Seth waiting for his reply. When Seth didn't say anything Lex got up and put his arms around Seth's waist and said "You know you can tell me anything."

Seth felt a bit surprised by Lex's empathy and care towards him. The teen was was about to brush it off and avoid telling Lex, but decided to be honest in the end. It wasn't like there was any reason to lie about it. "I thought I heard one of those creatures," He admitted. Seth was beginning to think it might have been the right choice to mention it, anyways, considering that meant there was at least one nearby. It would be safer knowing.

Seth felt the screeches shouldn't have bothered him so much, he knew in the end those creatures were always out there. But, it seemed what really got to him was that he'd never heard or noticed them before. He had to admit he'd spent a lot more time just cooped up in his room. Could it have been because he and Lex killed that other one that more were up and about now? Seth felt rather obligated to question it.

Seth pulled Lex down onto the couch, laying down with him on it. He started to watch the movie, not really following along with its plot or characters, only wanting to keep his mind distracted. This time the movie was about vampires.

As Lex watched the film he got increasingly annoyed. This is because parts of the film were wrong and not at all like him at all such vampires can't be around humans without drinking their blood. Furthermore when Lex saw the first 'kill' he was thinking Drinking bloods not that messy. He must be a newborn He turned away from the film and thought I can't watch this it might blow my cover

"You don't like the movie, Lex?" Seth asked, noticing his apparent distaste for it. He got up to pick another one out, stopping the current one. He figured Lex was maybe just not a person who was all that fond of blood and gore, although he hadn't seemed all that squeamish around that dead creature, or the dying professor. The teen put another flick in, returning to his spot with Lex.

Lex looked at Seth he couldn't really tell him he didn't like the movie because of the errors in so he just said "I don't dislike the movie but with everything going on it was kind of freaky" Lex rested his head on Seth and began to watch this film. The Seth had put in had been one of Lex's favorites.

Seth nodded, he knew what Lex had meant about the movie being 'freaky.' He eased up and relaxed as they watched, running his hand through Lex's hair lightly as he did. It must have been three movies later when Seth fell asleep, dozing off but waking up when the current movie ended. The teen sat up slightly and gave Lex and light kiss. He'd almost fallen back asleep when there was a loud banging against the door, someone or something pounding on its wood from the other side.

"Shit," Seth said, quickly getting to his feet. He watched the door take every hit it received, then went to push another piece of furniture over top of the dresser that was blocking the way in. The creatures had bided their time in attacking them so far, so the teen couldn't imagine why now had been the time for them to try and break it.

Lex jumped up "What do you think it is?" He said. He regretted saying the question as soon as he had said it because he knew what it was it's the creature He thought. He looked around the room for something to protect himself and Seth from when the creature or whatever it was got into the room. As he looked around he saw the baseball bat and crowbar they brought with them. He picked them up and passed the bat to Seth "Here" He said raising the crowbar.

(( I won't be around as much for the next 3-4 days because of final exams in school. ;;; ))

Seth took the baseball bat from Lex, holding it up, ready to smack the intruding beast with that sort of strength that came to you only in dire times of emergency. "Whatever it is, I'd like it to be one of two things: dead, or not in this room," Seth replied, his mind so focused on preparing himself for beating this thing that he couldn't say much else after that.

The creature burst through the door with such intensity that one of the wardrobe's shattered, sending splinters of its wood flying. The other fell down in front of them. With how entranced he'd been with readying the bat, Seth had barely even covered his eyes from the dust and projectile splinters of the dressers. The creature advanced in, much similar to the last - they were lucky there was only one of them; not attacking in groups. This one had blood on its teeth, probably all that'd been left of the professor, or anyone else that could have been left alive in the school.

Seth hit the thing over the head with the bat so damn hard he literary broke it over its head. If he could show that sort of performance in actual baseball he'd be a home runner every time. The beast took a few steps out of the room, dazed, but hadn't been killed or even knocked out from the blow. It tried to shake it off, but was taking a bit to recover. Seth would have bashed its skull in with what little of the bat he had left, if half of the broken dresser wasn't in his way. In that moment, all of his fear had turned to anger, and he finally let out all the disgust he had for these things - knowing they'd killed every last one of his friends in the school

((Thats ok))

Lex watched Seth as he hit the creature with the baseball bat. He saw the bat break in half "It didn't do that before" Lex exclaimed. He raised the crowbar and hit the creature with all the strength he could muster but this did not phase the creature. They were getting desperate "What are we going to do?" Lex asked as the creature advanced on them

Seth looked around for some sort of escape, some easy way out. There wasn't any, not anything that offered more than a temporary solution, anyway. Although the teen figured a temporary solution was better than becoming creature food. "The bathroom," Seth said, as if it hadn't come to mind before. He took a large step towards it, almost sprinting over the short distance of the dorm room to the built in bathroom of it.

As Seth moved, the creature lunged forward as well. It seemed to have bad aim, and perhaps even damaged depth perception, most likely from the damage it'd suffered from Lex and Seth. Even with this at its disadvantage, it missed biting a hole in Seth only by a short distance, getting a mouth full of the television instead. It continued to bite into the TV, before chewing into more nearby electronics and even a few wires, an outlet. The creature must of hit the wrong fuse as it did, and within few seconds it smelt like cooked chicken; that and burning flesh - probably the worst thing Seth could ever imagine smelling.

The creature was now certainly dead from the electric shock it'd recieved, if not so wounded it wouldn't be getting up any time soon. Seth didn't stop to check it, he didn't stop to look around and he didn't stop to grab anything from the room. Instead, he held onto Lex's hand and ran like hell out of there, till they could find somewhere else to take shelter from these beasts in.

Seth stopped when Lex had asked. He didn't know where they were headed, it was just as long as it was away from there. The teen was panting now, from running so much. He started to think things over, even if the halls of the school had probably proven themselves to not be the best place to do such a thing in. "The basement," Seth decided, finally. He wanted to get revenge on these things, all of them, for what they'd done. First, they'd have to find some form of preparations, though, better weapons to take with them, anything. With that in mind, Seth started off towards one of the science labs, one he hadn't really thought of going in yet - hoping it still contained some of the things he was looking for.

When they got there, the lab was empty, as had the rest been. He walked over to a specific door in the room, one which led into another room - a storage, for all the chemicals and extra beakers and things of that sort; one students wouldn't be allowed in for safety purposes. Seth was relieved to find the door already open, although also worried when he saw that a lot of the items in the room had been knocked to the floor, their contents spilled along it. He was a bit concerned as to what he might be stepping in, and what he might be breathing in, from whatever chemicals had hit the floor - but not feeling any serious or instant effects, he continued on to find what he was looking for.

Seth was no chemistry major, by any means. Yet, he had some ideas of what he was going for, and what not to touch, from what he'd learned from both the school and friends. He grabbed a belt made to hold various beakers and vials around your waist if necessary, and put it on. Not long after, he found the main components of what he was looking for, pouring the ingredients into separate vials and putting those on either side of the belt - careful of what he'd be mixing. It probably would have been safer for some sort of protective gear, goggles, gloves, or anything like that; yet Seth didn't feel he had time for it. When he'd filled his belt he handed Lex a few of the vials - if he wanted them, warning him strictly "not to mix them" and "not to get them on his skin." Even though the concoctions would prove enough danger for the two of them, they'd also - hopefully prove helpful in fighting those horrible creatures. Seth and Lex left the chem lab, looking for any form of weapons that'd help them out. Seth was out of ideas of where much would be, so he left it up to Lex to figure out where any kind of weapon would be located in the school.

Lex looked down the corridor to see if the was anything there. There wasn't but he did spot a fire extinguisher. He walked up to it and said "We could us this" He lifted it of the wall and back to were Seth was. "Even if the form doesn't effect the whatever those things are. Smacking it could help"

Seth nodded, agreeing the fire extinguisher could come in handy. The two ended up in front of one of the doors to the school's basement, one that opened up from the school's auditorium, a place for drama and theater. They both would seem a bit empty handed at this point, considering what they were going up against, but the teen was still determined.

They'd managed to find another few metal baseball bats, and Seth took one with him. They'd also come across a torch, so he'd brought that along, and backtracked to the science lab for some fuel that'd ultimately cause a fair fire display when the two were combined. He breathed in deeply as he looked down the dark stairway towards the door that lead into the basement, knowing if he didn't hurry up he'd probably change his mind about going down. Seth took a few steps down, leading the way. He turned back to look at Lex, letting himself decide for one last second whether he could risk everything - even if it was inevitable in the end.

"Too bad we don't have some sort of super powers, huh?" Seth said, trying to laugh slightly, wanting to lighten his own mood.

"Yeah to bad" Lex replied in a disappointed tone. He did have super speed but if he told Seth Lex thought he would think he was a freak and seat all the stuff they had got for the creatures on he. Lex looked down the stairs that lead to the basement and began to descend them.

The basement in the school was dark and damp. They walked down the corridor. There was a small squeak but when he looked around he saw that it was just a mouse. It's just a mouse nothing to freak out about he thought.
