I agree, very pretty. I mean there is always room for improvement, like the proportions may need a little work. but its a very good start I would say.

Yea, so far Chicago has been having pretty good weather.
Upper 30s and 40s this week. Which is awesome.
Last year was terrible.

But since it's usually 80-90 in the summer it feels cold enough though.

well i live in southern Ontario and we are wusses here too since buffalo gets worse weather then us. But it can get as low as -40C in the winter and up to +40C in the summer. on a regular basis. but those are once a year temperatures. for the most part we see about -35 and +35. it hardly ever gets above 40 but it does get below 40 with wind windchill sometimes. Ive had severe frost bite before. it was kinda wicked! lol

I'd be ok with 40's. Or if it has to be cold anyway, a little snow would be nice.
It seems like the last few years, we've gotten more ice than snow and at least you've got a little traction on the snow.

My mother fell down our steps one year after an ice storm, trying to get into work.
Fortunately she was just a little bruised, nothing worse, but now she's completely terrified to go out in the ice. (I can't blame her, it's the only thing I'll take off school for. I don't care if it snows.)
We salt all of our stuff but our street always seems to be the last thing they get to even though it's got a huge hill that's perfect for dumping people into the middle of a busy intersection if they start sliding. >.<

Omg -40, couldn't do it. Ever. *Hides from the thought of it.*

well... we tend to get just about everything round these parts. i cant say ive noticed any more or less ice then usual, but this is the first year it was a white Christmas across the whole country in like 40 eyars or something.

I hate windchill! Ughhh!
Ice is annoying but I can tolerate it to a point. I'm just extremely cautious when I walk on it.

yeah well, i like the winter way more then the summer. at least in th winter you can always put on more layers. in the summer after your naked and you are still sweating, what are you supposed to do? and its not like you can be naked all the time. seriously. i very much dislike the summer.

The weather is that cold here too. -40C is perfectly natural in Winnipeg. Although the weather has supposedly been much colder this year than average.

I used to have these awesome boots that were totally slip proof and I could walk on the ice, so now I hate going out in anything else. It's very odd when we've just had an ice-storm and I see other girls at school wearing high heels. I wonder if they changed into them after they arrived or if they were crazy enough to actually wear them in.

I prefer when it snows because it actually gives the house a little more insulation against the wind chill.

I think the problem a lot of us in Ohio have with handling different types of weather. (I hear we have a reputation, especially for our inability to drive in the winter if there's more than an inch of snow.) I think it's because we have such variance in our weather.
We have summer that is warm enough to swim in outdoors. Mild Fall that's about 60 degrees. Spring in the 70s and then Winter in the 30s.
So we're bad about winter weather because we're not always ready for it. We don't have cars set up for it, or chains, we let ourselves run out of salt. Our city has some stupid rule about only buying salt in state so we run out of salt and then the roads don't always get clean.

xD So we fail at winter.

Mhmm. I adore Winnipeg. It may be cold, and not have anything all that great or interesting on average, as opposed to Toronto or Edmonton, but I've lived here my entire life and I don't plan on leaving. If I do, I'll admit it will probably be to the above places. This will always be my favourite place though.

The green portion of the bar continues to diminish. -_- I am doing all in my power to get it back up, but my attempts seem to be. . . few and far between, to say the least.

How was everyone's Christmas?

I wouldn't be surprised. We in Ontario had a good 20-30cm of snow dumped on us in the span of about three days. Perhaps we're finally getting some normality within the world?

I don't dislike either Winter or Summer, but I very much like the in-between seasons . . . early Autumn especially. It's still warm, but the insects have gone by then.

As for windchills . . . please don't mention it again. Though I hear that in the 17th century Canada was so cold it was snowing until June.

"There once was a boy from Quebec
Who was buried in snow to his neck.
When they asked, 'Are you fritz?'
He replied, 'Yes I is
But we don't call this cold in Quebec.' "

Mine was uneventful to say the least. . . the family came over like they always do, but because everyone's getting older, no one stays the whole day like they used to. So, we had the house to ourselves for the evening. I just watched movies and played games.

With all the posting I've been doing I can almost afford the holly dress in the event shop.

Yeah, Wendy, mine as the same way. My dad came over really early, but he left around 4 or 5. and my sister, her friends came over in the middle of opening presents. As soon as she was done, she left o.o she had a lot of nerve too, hardly being here on christmas day.

and then her friends mother had the nerve to ask us to babysit, on christmas, so she could go out drinking! It was something.
