Mira smiled softly and built a little fire again, this one much smaller and she went about preparing breakfast. Within a few minutes she had some bacon cooked and between a hard roll, the juices soaking into it. Mira lightly poked Engel with her foot. "Rise and shine kitten."

Engel opend her eyes and smiled at Mira "Morning"

Mira shook her head softly and handed Engel one of the biscuts. "Eat up, we gotta leave in a few minutes." And just like that Mira was back into her book, still eating.

Engel nodded and ate her biscut quickly. "do you want me to carry you or all of the stuff?" she asked. Engel wanted to streach her cat legs since she had not in a while.

Mira laughed and picked up her things. "Not till we reach the Great Plains." She swung her pack on, kicked dirt onto the fire. She started back towards the road. "We'll stop at the inn for lunch."


"Awww, how far are they gonna go? I don't want to follow them forever!" The angela complained to her compainion. "They're so boring. Well the changling is kinda fun, but the human is so boring! Always reading that book." The male glanced over at his compainion and sighed, "She's interesting. Studying magic when she isn't good at it. We'll keep following and make sure they don't do something to harm the forest."

Engel turned into a tiger and walked besides Mira. She liked this form better then her human.

Mira jumped slightly. Then smiled and patted her on the head and began walking down the road.

The days went on like this. And soon they were at the edge of the Great Plains. Mira stood there, thoughtful. "On the other side, near those mountains is a city called Gerendal. It is one of the biggest cities on this continent. THey will have the books we need."

"do you want me to carry you there, I can get you there very fast." Engel said with a smile

"Even with you running it will still take a few days at least. They don't call it the great plains for nothing. But yes, lets begin. I don't know where or when the next watering hole might be." Mira took their packs and waited for Engel to change into a tiger.

Engel turned into a tiger and stood waiting for Mira to get on.

Mira placed the packs onto Engel and climbed on. "Alright, lets get going, this is going to be a long journey." She laughed softly.

Engel smiled a bit "hold on" was all that she said befor she started to run. She picked up speed quickly and they where already 300 yards away from where they once where.

Mira clung tightly to the tiger. "Yipe!" She then laughed. "Don't wear yourself out or get too thirsty now hun!"

Engel chuckled "It takes a long time to wear me out."

"Well we have a long way to go, so you never know." After a few hours they came to a stream. "Lets stop here. Rest and drink. My butt needs to stretch!" She laughed.

Engel smiled and let Mira off. When she was off engel jumped into the stream to cool off.

Mira drank some of the water and then flopped down into the cool grass and dozed, her book held tightly in her arms.

Engel got out of the water and layed down next to Mira and stood watch
