a friend of mine (Setsu) found this site and sent me the link...
I really love these kind of communities and so I made an account :)
well, first I should introduce myself, I guess xD
I'm Julia, a 16 year old girl from Germany and I hope to have a lot of fun here :eager:
the things I'm most interested in (at the moment) are...anime/manga, music (don't really have any favorite music, but I like j-pop, some kind of electronical music, movie/anime OSTs and so on xD) and drawing *_*
another hobby of mine is dolling/pixeling, though I don't do it that often anymore...but maybe I'll get more active at it again some day
If there are any questions, feel free to ask!

(and please forgive my horrible English haha; to tell the truth...I've been learning English at school for quite some time now, but I'm not really used to speaking/writing it and because of that I often make unnecessary mistakes T__T)

Hiiiiii I'm new too :D You're lucky lucky though that you already have a friend here, I'm all aloooone :[ What time is it in Germany? 'cause it's morning here and everyone I know is asleep. Pixel art is my favorite kind to make! I sit there for like three hours just dotting it out and then I zoom out and it's awful xD Not really, but sort-of. And no need to apologize, your English is swell!

and yeah, making pixel art is quite tiresome but it's worth it! xD

Hey Hanadairo. Haha, I almost feel like I've met you already after hearing about you in Setsu's thread. I'm MORBiDUS~

:) Welcome to Mene! It sounds like you and Setsu have similar interests (why, you're friends, of course!) and I was just mentioning in her thread that I like those things too. :yes: I'll have to befriend you as well, if you don't mind me doing so!

I know a lot of people who like anime/manga draw it (or a style similar), but I won't assume that of you without asking, because a lot of those people also partake in other kinds of art!
So, what is it that you draw? :P

And I think your English is doing pretty good. It already seems better than mine, and English is my first language.. haha!

and well...about my drawing style xD
I'm not really sure how to call it
it's true, that I started drawing in anime style, but i'm slowly starting to show interest in more realistic styles...so I guess, it's a mix of both :D

&That's really neat, that you were able to combine the two (anime-style and realism). It makes your style that much more unique to you!

I also started off with anime and moved onto realism... if only because my art classes demanded it, though. And I wanted to better work on my knowledge of anatomy, etc. But, I think my style is closer to anime than it is realism yet still, since that's my drawing preference.

:) You don't have any examples of your art on here that I could see, do you?

I'm glad, my teacher tolerates different styles xD

and yeah, I have some examples:

it's one of my newer things, but I didn't complete it
somehow...it's hard for me to complete any pics, because in the middle of drawing I become more and more discontent with it and I don't have any courage to move forward
it's really annoying :/

another one: it's more anime-like, I guess :D

Oh wow, those are both incredible!
Even if you don't fully complete your art, the incomplete versions would still be quite amazing~!

You should try posting some of those up in the art forum, or drawing user's and selling it on Mene. (I mean, if you cared to. :yes: I know a lot of people don't like doing such things/don't want to draw things they don't feel inspired by, etc.)
