are there random events in this game? or something besides posting, playing games, buying and selling, and avatar clothing...?

Welcome to Menewsha konikiat ~ nice to meet you :) Im sure that you have made your way to the Newbie Guides at the top of this forum. There is very helpful info there about the rules, earning gold, etc. I am fairly new myself but I do believe Menewsha hosts special events on a regular basis. You just missed the Festival of Winter Nights Xmas event but Im pretty sure there will be a new event soon. One of my friends here just invited me to RP with her ~ not sure if you like that but it seems pretty fun so maybe you could check out the RP forum too. And dont feel bad, Ive been here for a month and I still get lost in here sometimes LOL :D You will find Menewshans are super friendly and helpful so if you have any questions, please dont hesitate to ask :)

I am pretty new here myself, but I can give you a few tips if you want. I hope that you have read all the rules, and followed them so far. :) Also, posting in forums can get you a lot of money! Have fun! OK, now here are the tips:

1. Type in full sentences when posting, the more you write the more gold you get!

2. During holidays or special times of the year, the event store will open. You will have to get yarn or other items to buy from the event store.

3. If you have explored all the shops and stores, then make sure you keep an eye out for items that you want to buy. You can put them in your shopping cart so you wont forget.

4. This is the number one tip i am going to give you: HAVE FUN!!! :D

I see that you've managed to get some things to clothe yourself at least. Hooray! To answer your question, there aren't random events like the giftboxes on gaia/solia here. We place a pretty big emphasis on community and getting out there to post and make friends. :) Have funa and I hope I see you out there sometime in the main sections!

I have read the newbie guide for I have also read from other threads that one should read the newbie guide because it has all the basic things I need to learn about the game. Thanks again for the help that you guys have written down for me! I must agree that people here are friendly and helpful. :)

Like Fiarra said, we try to keep things community-oriented. Posting is still the main way to earn gold, so that people interact with each-other more to earn their gold, and their items!

If you post often enough, you can bump into some really generous people, too. I've had my very fortunate moments, and I'm glad I post as much as I do. The more you post, the more people will know about you, and the more likely they are to be very nice to you ^^
