This is an Rp between myself and Silver Crusnik so please do not post. Thank you.
Idea:
Warrior X Warrior
A cold crisp morning, the smell of death in the air, soil black with blood and littered with bodies. Dawn breaking as the general comes eye to eye with the enemy. His frosty blue eyes the only thing he can see with the helmet. As the battle rages on around the two. The sound of their blades is all they seem to hear. A swift movement throws the general off balance, but he’s quick to block and attack back. The enemy’s helmet flies off revealing the warrior is a women. The general stops in shock before calling back his troops. There being no honor in killing a women. But his lord had different plans for her and the followers. The general feels for her and holds her as a prisoner of war in his home; keeping her from becoming a slave.
Characters:
Name: Ayame Uta
Age: 19
Bio: Ayame was born to a middle class family in Shinjuku during a warm summer night. Her mother passed away shortly after due to an illness; leaving her in the care of her father. Ayame idolized her father growing up, and did her best to make him proud. She spent her days learning kendo, and acting like a son rather then a daughter. Only problem was no matter how hard she tried she’d always be his daughter.
By her 15th birthday their province was at war due to their Shogun’s egotism. He wasn’t happy ruling just a small potion of the country; he wanted it all. Her father knew this was wrong and so asked for no part in the matter. Their Shogun saw this as treason and had him beheaded. Ayame remembered having to watch her father’s execution trying her best to stay strong for him. Holding her head high she began to plot her revenge.
Leaving home and posing as a man she tried her best to other throw their Shogun. But all was lost when her men found about her. Now she’s alone as a prisoner of war in unfriendly territory.
Appearance: She looks average like every once else. Long black hair that stops just above her waist, soft pale complexion, and about 5ft 2in. Her eyes are the only thing that really stands out. As blue as the sky on a clear summer day; but in the dark seem to reflect everything like a mirror. She dresses in men’s clothing, but since being in captivity they have her in a women’s kimono. Nothing fancy like one thinks when they hear the work Kimono. It’s just a simple white cotton robe, with a simple tie to keep it closed.
Name: Jade
Age: Appears 21
Gender: Male
Race: Kitsune Taiyoukai (Greater Fox Spirit/Demon)
Appearance: Jade is a little over six foot, and has chestnut colored hair. His eyes are very interesting, in that one is the typical crimson that runs in his family line, but the left is a vibrant, beautiful green as bright as the grass. It's unclear what causes this phenomenon, but it's very rare in his line. As he is a fox demon, he also has long, triangular ears the color of his hair situated atop his head. The very tips are black, like a normal fox. In his human form, Jade has one tail, though he rarely shows his demon form to others, thus the number of tails he has--when not holding back--is little known.
Personality: Jade is most prevalently, a trickster. He's cynical, sarcastic, and very witty...but he also likes to play games and trick people whenever he can. In addition, he's usually always smiling, and not very forthright with his inner emotion.
Jade doesn't take well to complacent ignorance. If someone is being an idiot on purpose and has no wish to correct themselves, he will most likely grow annoyed. And when he is annoyed, you better watch out.
Despite all, he is a fiercely loyal individual, due to his kitsune nature, and always keeps to his word. It would take a lot for him to break his word to another, human or demon.
Abilities/Weapons: As far as weaponry, Jade has a naginata at his disposal. It's blade is crafted out of a very hard alloy that is rumored to be adamant (diamond). Whether this is true or not cannot be vouched for, but at the most, the blade does not dull, and it has a very odd shimmer to it. At first glance, it doesn't appear to have any sort of counter-weight, which would make it very unwieldy. But that is not so. Its counterweight is within the core of the weapon's other side.
Being that he is kitsune, Jade has the ability to take many shapes, as it is his power of transformation. This makes it very easy to hide. As if that wasn't enough, he also has the power to make very convincing illusions. Because the base of his powers are partially shadow, some of these illusions can be made real. However, to do such a thing would cause a great expenditure of energy, so he normally does not create corporeal things.
Another obvious ability of Jade's is to transform into a fox. He can manipulate his size and appearance in accordance to his powers, but in essence, it is his human form which is the veneer, his fox form being his purest and truest. Few have seen him in this form.
And finally...although Jade is male, he is also able to seduce. It is typically female kitsune that are attributed to this, but then again...most kitsune that seek to seduce are female anyway. He has used his charisma to get many things he wants, such as food, boarding, or just a woman. He does not find this seduction, nor the act of intercourse as any sort of infidelity. No one likes him anyway, he may as well sate his lust.
History: As far as now, there's not much to say. I'll give you the bare bones anyway, lol. But the rest is for you to figure out as the rp goes along.
Jade has been around for a long time, he knows a lot of things. He's well-traveled across Japan. His parents aren't really well known, save for his father. He also has a link to a human for which he is not fond, and has to do with his family's hoshi no tama (Star Ball).
Persecuted for most of his life for being a demon, he is more or less uncaring to the plights of others unless there is some benefit to him. Why risk his neck for those who would slice it, after all? This has also left him very much alone, as he has no living family to speak of.
Other: Jade is very taken with books, and his thirst for knowledge is insatiable.
He is also very fond of sweets, particularly strawberry onigiri. Despite his age, he would be very easily swayed if strawberry rice balls were in the equation.
Yes I know mine is so much shorter than Silver's profile. I'm sorry I'm bad at profiles! lol

A single window no more than a foot tall or wide was her only source of sunlight. The simple cot and an oil lamp for the night were all that occupied her room. Being under house arrest she was allowed to leave her room and roam the halls, but she remained stubborn to the thought. Unarmed she was an easy target and so stayed where she was put. The sunlight flooding her room illuminated her raven long raven hair. Ayame sat calmly letting the sun beat down on her as she watched the door through her frost blue eyes.
A servant stopped at her door and left a tray of food outside the door for her. This happened like clock work everyday since she’d gotten here. Sliding open the door and taking the tray she sat against the wall. Eating the simple fish and rice she was given as she thought about her escape. Ayame tried about four times already, and each time she was stopped. What was strange was the fact she was never punished for it. She was just put back in her room as if it never happened. Not only that her captor had yet to speak to her. The guards were the one who took her back to her room, and called her uncalled for names.
She didn’t care much for them their attitudes just reminded her she was in prison. The way they acted also made her wonder what kind of man their general was. The only time she’d ever seen him was on the battlefield. His face covered by a helmet so that all she could see were his eyes. A strange mix of one green eye, one red; something she’d never seen before, and would surly never forget.
After she'd finished eating she set her tray back outside the door, and went back to her spot. Being locked away seemed to drain her body, but the important thing to her was keeping her mind sharp at this point. Looking out the window she saw a small bird chirping away. It made her feel like a bird in a small unloving cage. Everything seemed to remind her of her entrapment.

She wasn't alone for long though. Much like he did every few days, the general had decided to pay her a visit. After all, she was living in his home. and it was therefore common sense that he would visit her.
Moreso due to what he knew of her. On that token, it seemed there was so much she didn't know that she should have. He had to admire this woman's sense of honor however, even if she had been a brash fool. Honestly, dressing as a warrior with her assets. It was a surprise she hadn't been found out sooner.
Now it was his responsibility to take care that she didn't fall into the hands of the land's daimyo.
"May I enter?" he questioned quietly. Never let it be said that he was impolite.
(Btw, for the sake of the rp, let's assume he hasn't revealed his race to her yet, and that he's masking his ears. His tail is kind of hidden within his hakama. Lol.)

((Lol ok, but I'll just guess his eyes are still red and green))
"Its your home do as you wish." Ayame told him coldly through the door. Sitting straight and proud she made sure to hide any weakness. She still knew little of this man or what he was capable of, but with how he treated her was different from other captors.
Ayame wasn't about to be polite to him without knowing what kind of man he was. Not only that she was hostile from being in this room for so long. This gave her a sort fuse, but she still tried her best to be good. If she was to aggressive he might have her beheaded. If that happened then everything she'd gone through would have been for nothing.

"Hahah...calm, woman. It may be my home, but this is your room," he said in that deep, flowing voice of his. He slid the door open and seemed to glide inside.
In his home, he had no problem being clothed less formally. His chestnut-colored hair, usually bound in a ponytail, now cascaded to his mid back elegantly. Unlike Ayame's kimono, the man wore an obviously more expensive one made of emerald silk, with flowing hakama of the same shade. He also wore an undershirt beneath the green, though that one was white and hardly visible.
Despite his kind words, his hands were slipped into his flowing sleeves before him--a sign of haughtiness. Still, he did not appear confrontational. And he was not, either. Never was he confrontational off the field unless given a clear reason to be.
"And how are you today?" Jade questioned politely.

((Its cool ^^))
Ayame stayed calm despite his towering presence over her. She knew he was tall from when they fought, but sitting made her feel helpless to his presence. Inside she felt like she was shrinking, but it didn't show from her appearance.
"I'm doing fine, regaurdless to the fact I'm being held against my will, have vulgar guards watching over me, and you as my captor." Ayame hissed at him whiel keeping her eyes on the floor. She didn't want to strain her neck to look up at him, and looking straight would only make things seem awkward.
"So much for holding my tongue. God I'm just asking to be killed." Ayame thought to herself as she prayed that her outburst would go unpunished like everything else had. Her muscles were tense as she kept her body from shaking. She kept her breathing calm to keep her nerves down as she wondered why he'd come to her room.
Ayame thought of bowing in apology for her last comment, but her stubbornness wouldn't allow it. She just sat calmly waiting to see his reaction to her comment.

Jade, fortunately for her, was of a good humor most of the time, and was not a typical general.
"Mm...I don't quite like the fact that the guards are mistreating you. Allow me to extend my deepest apologies, Lady Uta. And please...allow me but a few moments of your time. I wish to explain something to you, or perhaps have you answer a query of mine. Would you be so kind?"
The general took a seat across from her, at least seven feet away. His dual-colored eyes stared at her head, as they could not gaze into her cerulean ones.
"I'm sure what I have to say may interest you...and liberate me from several troublesome duties."

"You may leave them be, I've suffered worst things than name calling..." Ayame was glad to hear the guards would be taken care of, but ifthey were scolded they might take it out on her. Not that she couldn't take them, but any violent act from her only endangered her life more.
"As I've said before: It is your home do as you please." She replied still confused to why he was being so polite. He had the right to do and say what ever he wanted to her, and yet he didn't. Most men would have treated her like property since she was a women. Her arms trembled ever so often from being so tense, but her face never changed. Ayame glanced up for a split second before she gave the floor her attention again. her curiosity was getting the best of her as she wondered what he would need from her.

Jade tilted his head quizzically, a decidedly strange gesture, even for a person. To the right person, it'd look very amusing.
"You know...restating that this is my home won't make it any clearer to me. I am aware that this is my home and that I am free to do what I wish. An I am doing what I wish to do, so don't insult my intelligence please."
He paused.
"Ohh, I see. You think I'm going to mistreat you like the rest of the others here. You must be laboring under some delusions still, some of which I hope to relieve you of. I'm not a dog, and I will not mistreat you unless you plainly ask for it."
He grinned in some hidden satisfaction, though not too wide of course.

Ayame finally looked up at him. She'd become just as puzzled as he was now.
"I'm not insulting you. I'm only saying that in my situation I'm not at liberty to deny you." She told him when she thought of how vulnerable that made her seem. Being nervous always made her say the wrong thing.
"What I mean is I will answer your questions as best I can." Ayame corrected herself.
She couldn't help but linger on his last comment. It seemed rude of him to say such a thing, but at the same time he was still polite. He had a sly grin on his face that made her wonder what he was up to. After staring at him for so long she thought it pointless to look back down. Ayame sat up straight, resting her hands on her lap. Even when she sat straight he was still considerably taller.
"...Well, ask away." Ayame ordered him. She didn't mean for it to come out that way, but sitting with him made her uncomfortable. Something about him was making her a nervous wreck.

"Very well then."
Jade saw no point in lingering on her nervousness. He was certain that, should he be put in her position, he'd feel the same.
Mm...perhaps not.
"Your father," he began. "Would you mind telling me if he has left you any sort of pendant or other jewelry with a particularly large gem set into it? I'm not particularly interested in beating around the bush, but knowing this will make it easier for me to relay this information to you...and it'll give me some sort of judgment on where I stand."
To any person, this would hardly make any sense. He didn't expect it to, but he wanted the truth from Ayame. And no matter what sort of ends he would have to go to, he would have his answer. He simply chose to be diplomatic about it.
(You can answer however you like, btw. Yes or no. Either way, it'll work. ^^)

Ayame hadn't expected such a random question. The simple question actually formed a number of questions in her mind.
"I don't know what you're talking about." Ayame was telling the truth. She'd never known of any such thing belonging to her parents. Her father kept her mother wedding ring on him, but it was a simple silver band with no pendant to speak of.
"What is this about?" She questioned him. Her nervousness has started to vanish the more she spoke with him. Her mind started working into over time trying to think of where she might have met him before.
"How did he know my father? When would they have met? I can't recall him ever coming to the house all those years ago...Who is he?" Ayames mind tried to answer these questions, but everything went blank. It was even stranger to think he could have been a friend to her father. If he was than why would he fight for their lords honor when her father was so against it?

"Are you absolutely sure? He never spoke of anything resembling a jewel, or a ball?" Jade pressed, not yet answering Ayame's questions. Now he was the seemingly nervous one, however little it showed past his facade of calm. But still...he was leaning a few inches forward on his knees, and his strange eyes seemed to hold some sort of urgency...fear perhaps?
And then he asked a more personal question, one he was sure that Ayame wouldn't answer. But he had to try nonetheless.
"Your father's body...what did they do with it?"
Jade himself wouldn't have known. He hadn't been a part of the lord's army at this point.

As he leaned forward Ayame leaned back slightly. It was just her way of keeping distance between them. They were enemies and so being close was not an option.
"It was burned." Ayame told him, and it was all he needed to know. He wasn't part of their family or even a friend that she was aware of. It was rare for her to even speak with a friend let alone someone she'd just met.
"Now tell me what this is about." She ordered him again. With all the questions she had building up any answered one would be helpful. Whatever it was he wanted to know she wasn't about to tell him unless he filled her in. If Ayame didn't get some answers soon she was going to get pissed, and in her situation she couldn't promise she'd stay calm.

Now here came one of the very big surprises in store for Ayame; Jade's compliance. No...not just compliance, it was obedience.
"Yes, very well," he answered. "I implore you, however, not to scream or do any other untoward things when I reveal this to you. I don't want to have to cover your mouth or anything."
With that, Jade stood, facing forward even as he fiddled with the back of his kimono, untucking it from his hakama. It created a lot more rustling than the action had any right to make, and it was soon apparent why.
A long bushy tail, the same color as his hair, only with a white tip, swept from the right, then to the left. He then ran a hand through his hair, as if smoothing it back. When his hand cleared the top, however, two large triangular ears popped up as well.
"I'm not human," he admitted. And well...no shit, right?

((lol I love the last part.))
Ayame felt uncomfortable once more when he told her not to scream. She stayed sitting till he got up and started to mess around with his clothing. In a panic thinking the worst of him she got up ready to defend herself. Her heart was racing as she moved away from him. The small room didn't give her much place to go.
When the tail came into view Her eyes widened, and her jaw dropped. Her heart was pounding in her ears, as she moved back more. Her foot hit the wall just as his ears popped up. Ayame felt dizzy as she tried not to scream, but a shrill escaped her from the shock.
"Get back!" She shouted as her vision started to blur, but she kept her footing. Her heart was pounding so fast it was starting to effect her, and her scream exhausted her already tired body.

Jade sighed.
"I said not to scream," he responded calmly. "Why don't humans ever listen anyway."
He put a hand to his forehead, looking troubled. This hadn't been any easier on him, never mind what toll it was taking on Ayame.
"Look, I'm not going to possess you, eat you, or rape you, nothing of the sort," he said boredly, trying to assuage her fears a little. "I'm as much a prisoner here as you, Uta-sama."
So saying, he opened his kimono a bit more, revealing what appeared to be a bunch of strange scribbling all over his chest. The symbols weren't intelligible to any normal person, but he was very aware of the effect.
"It's a seal, alright? I can't get rid of it, and if I so much as toe the line, then I'm in trouble. I don't serve the lord because I want to. I serve him because my father served yours, and he made himself a nuisance after your father's example in his servitude. His punishment was death as well, though far less publicized, and now I'm stuck here under the threat of death."
She'd probably think him a coward...but she knew nothing! She had no right to judge him.
"I can't believe he never told you about us..." he said quietly.

Ayame coved her mouth till her nerves calmed. Hearing that he wasn't going to touch her helped her greatly. It meant she didn't have to defend herself in her condition. letting her hand fall from her hand once she was sure not to scream again.
"Well hybrids never came up in our conversations." She whispered back as she stayed glued to the wall. It was still unsettling to her, but she wasn't afraid just startled. After hearing his story she didn't know what to think for him.
"A real man would have taken death instead of serving that man. My father died for that reason as did yours." Ayame said proudly finding pride in dying for ones belief. She was fighting for what she believe was right, and if it cost her life then she's accept that. No matter how afraid she was of death she face it like her father had.

He frowned.
"My father died serving yours, and refused to let me assist him. He made me promise to stay away from the castle, and I only broke that promise when he passed on," Jade admitted. "It would have been an ill repayment to throw my life away. And the both of them made me vow something else, with a heavy payment. I was to protect you from the daimyo, and in exchange, I was to gain my freedom from the servitude my family owes yours. And here you are, Uta-sama."

"I can take care of myself I don't need you." Ayame hissed at him. She wasn't some weak excuse of a human. The way Ayame acted when she was angry she seemed more cat-like than anything. Her eyes fixed on him as if waiting for the worst.
"I've never even met you till now. How can I trust you?" Growling as she questioned him. Ayame had quickly forgotten her place in the situation. Everything except the two of them had left her mind. She thought little of the consequences, or of how she was making him feel. Granted he didn't seem to annoyed with her. It was surprising how calm he seemed. Most people of this time kept their feels locked away, always behaving as if nothing was wrong. An here Ayame was speaking her mind, and acting like a wild animal.

"I see. Well, I can understand why you don't trust me. But that's also not my problem, milady," he said a little less calmly. "And thus far, you've certainly proven your ineptitude to take care of yourself. Now then, I think you ought to calm yourself before you attract unwanted attention, Uta-sama, for not everyone knows about this."
So saying, Jade pointed to his ears and flicked his tail.
"I'd rather they didn't either, because this home may not be close to the lord's abode, but when news gets to him, he can make me rather miserable. Maybe you think I serve him out of good faith or something, but as far as I know, he has my family's treasure, and with it, he could very easily end me. You're human, you don't have that problem."
As he spoke, Jade's eyes seemed to roil with held-back emotion. Obviously, he was skating dangerously close to losing his patience...

Ayame wasn't trying to cause attention, and he couldn't blame everything on her.
"I've been doing just fine. You're only acting this way because I'm a women and you think you have some sort of rights over me!" Ayame whispered sternly as she moved closer. She wasn't in his face about the matter, but she was at least a foot away from him now.
No matter how much taller he was she wasn't about to back down. It irritated her that no one spoke their mind, or let women do as the men do. Her father didn't raise her to just stand down when all hope seemed lost. She was stronger than that; She had to be for his sake.
"And if you don't want the attention then put that damn tail away." She ordered. Even if they were found out he would be as fault as well. If he could look like a human then he should keep to that form in risky times. Common sense told her that much.

Jade couldn't help but roll his eyes.
"I don't treat you different because you are a woman. I treat you different because you are a HUMAN!" he said, raising his voice loudly, his eyes both flashing red now. "Are you being intentionally obtuse?!"
Now his demonhood was shining through; fangs lengthened, eyes a bloodred crimson with not an ounce of white. Only his green iris broke the monotony of color. In addition, his fingernails, cut to a tame dullness, lengthened into wicked claws.
His tail, however, he did slide back into his hakama, however begrudgingly and with a little more excessive force than normal. He didn't care at this point whether she would notice that he was following her order.
"This 'attention-getting behavior'...was to convince you that I'm on your side. Unfortunately, it seems your father never thought it necessary to give you the information of my existence. If it wasn't for a strict code of honor that I go by--which apparently humans are too idiotic to follow--I would have killed you on that battlefield and worked for the lord of the lands, just like any other youkai would have."

Ayame stepped away from him scared of what he might do. She knew the honorable thing was to stand her ground, but she just wasn't thinking.
"Don't get like that. You can't blame me for being this way!" Ayame snapped back at him. Her hand was shaking and her heart was racing again from the site. He really couldn't blame her for being this way; it would take anyone time to adjust. What she couldn't understand was that he said he was here to protect her and yet he nearly killed her. Though he didn't know it was her on the field till her helmet was taken off, so she couldn't be mad at that.
Ayame decided to calm down since fighting him would get her no where. In the end she'd still be locked away, and he would still have power over her. No matter what much she denied the last fact they both knew it was true. Ayame sat with her back to the wall making sure to give him some space.
"Look its a lot to take in so excuse me for acting the way I did." She told him in hope he would calm down as well. If he didn't want to be discovered than they both needed to calm down.

I didn't disrespect you. All I'm asking is that you don't do it to me. Don't trust me, I dont' care if you trust me or not. But don't treat me like every other human," he implored.
As he'd spoken, Jade's voice had softened, and he had pushed the demon out of his demeanor, brushing his ears back and letting the veneer he wore hide them.
"I'm not blaming you for anything, and I'm not going to fight with you anymore. All I'm going to say is that if you want me to betray the lord at any time...I'd be willing to, in an instant. Whether you--or I--like it or not...I'm yours to command."
He half-grinned.
"You have a demon general at your disposal. Don't waste it...and, ah...I apologize if anything I said came across as rude. I really am...sorry...about your father..."
