I loved going to Massage therapy. It's one of my favorite activities to make money at.

The hair was done at the beauty school in the mall near our house. Really dig their instructors and the people are uber nice.

Boredom, sorry to hear it has set in...perhaps packing is a good distraction right now, Kat.

It was a random picture that I found on Google and it struck my fancy. It's actually much bigger than what you see, but in order for it to fit in the banner I had to crop it down.

Right now I'm looking for places to take some art classes...
A friend told me about a few that may be fairly close to south Austin, so I'm going to look into it.

depends on where you're moving to. I'm moving into an apartment and I'm taking lots of stuff with me. I'm in a hotel now. won't be in SF for about a week.

We're waiting for the schools to start so that we can go to the beach.

We figure that after school starts, families won't be going to the beach, so we won't be crowded.

Nope.
Especially the little kids that run around and chase the seagulls away.
We like to feed them.

why feed the gulls?! that's always a bad idea. they mob and make horrid noises and leave fabulous white dropping all over all your stuff. I didn't realize you were the sort of old person that sits around feeding pigeons and seagulls!

To be honest, we feed them to laugh at them.

It's so funny watching them fight for the cheetos.
We like to see how close we can get them to come to us.

As for the white droppings...we always use a beach umbrella, so we're protected.
lol...one time it was too windy, so we didn't put up the umbrella.

We found out quickly that you can't feed the gulls then.
They hover over your heads waiting for the food, and then... *splat*

ew, gull droppings are gross!

Yes, they are.

You know, after we've been feeding them cheetos for awhile, they become suspiciously orange too.

I just don't know what it is about cheetos that gets them so excited.
I've tried feeding them other stuff, and they don't go as crazy over it as they do over cheetos.

So all the schools start here next week.
I see the school buses rolling around as they check out their routes before the big day.

that's just gross....

I start school next week. I'm already moved into my apartment.

a have a roommate. turns out to be someone I've had classes with before. we haven't really talked since we moved in though since she doesn't appear to have been here since yesterday afternoon. well, my parents are finally going back home and I can enjoy my freedom.

I may be disappearing for awhile.

My Nephew committed suicide yesterday.
I'm trying to get a flight to go up there tomorrow to be with my sister.

It's so awful. She's the one who found him. He evidently shot himself.

I feel like I'm in the middle of a bad dream, but unfortunately this isn't one that we're going to wake up from.

:( that's so sad. suicide is the worst I think. Even worse that if someone was murdered; it's just terrible that people should feel the need to kill themself.

how are you lately?

Hi guys.
Just checking in for a few minutes.

The funeral was today. There were over 500 people there.

It's just so strange. Near as we can tell from friends is that he was looking forward to school starting. His advisor had just talked with him that morning, and he said that Tim had seemed just fine.
He had been changing some of his anti-anxiety medications, and they figure that something went wrong, and he had some sort of sudden brainstorm that he could not recover from. Some dark despair overcame him that is unexplainable.

I'm staying here with my sister until she no longer needs me...however long that takes.

that's so awful! Give your sister lots of comfort. It must be really hard.
