I used to be so active on Zantarni, but I've given up. It seems every time I make a friend, they stop coming around. I used to be there for my art shop, but i don't do commissions anymore.

Yeah I just didn't seem to make friends on there well enough to really keep me around. People were nice, though.

I think the trouble with joining a new site is it's hard to get into the community, especially if the place is too big or too small. it becomes hard to run into the same people and make friends.

That is true. Luckily I didn't really have that problem on here. I know a few people, Like Jeannesha, but havn't seen most of them around a whole lot. Every now and again I guess ya just get lucky, huh :D

I'm starting to wonder if avi sites are just getting less popular in general. not too many people are really active.

Hm... that might be a possibilty. A sad one, however.

we should try our hardest to keep them active them! I know I'm around all the time.

I'm also on Winter Break, so that helps. xD

Of course most of my classes next semester are online ^.^

winter break will hopefully be bringing more people around. I'll be bored for sure and have way too much time to be online, though I do need to start making my aunt's x-mas present.

I painted my aunt a canvas of a watercolor backgroud/outline; acrylic koi fish.

I'm gonna paint some cross angel thing. not something I would normally do, but my aunt collects crosses.

That's cool. I bought things for most everyone else. She is really the only one that I have an inkling to do art for, Christmas wise. It's odd.

for my extended family, we always do a secret santa thing. we only buy a gift for one person outside of our direct family and we have an average money range to spend. but yeah, I'm painting because my mom suggested it to me and we never know what to buy people anyway.

Well some people can be reeeaaallly hard to buy for!

Something that you create yourself like a painting would be a priceless gift I think.
Much better than buying something at WalMart.

(That's saying a lot since I'm such a WalMart shopper).

my brothers are impossible to buy for. they don't want things and they don't really have interests. especially my older bro. his list is just business clothes.

it's a pity that very few people in my family would enjoy a painting, especially the sort of things I like to paint.

I suppose close family are just too familiar with the sorts of things that you do.
We don't have a lot of artistic talent in my family, so the thought of getting something that is hand-done is exciting to me.

My sister does her own cards, and she gave me one for my birthday that was hilarious. I treasure those things.

I can make a few things for my aunts, but I can't really do whatever I'd like. I've given sculpture and drawings before.

I really like handmade cards. they can be so pretty.

Yeah I like the gifts that I make. Some I buy while some I make. I cant wait till Christmas!

I wish there was more time till x-mas. I still need to start making stuff.

Id just procrastinate more xD

I've gotten out of the habit of procrastinating since I've had so much to do lately.

It's a pretty big habit for me. But I am good at still keeping track and getting things done on time. I just wait till the last minuet.

I wish I had time for that.
