My sister has been trying to talk me into making my own cards.
But she has TONS of papers and cutters and stamps and stuff.
I just don't even want to start. I know I'd go crazy and buy all that equipment too.

Then hubby would probably leave me...

lol. just fold one piece of paper and write calligraphy on it. why does it have to be more complicated.

I don't send cards at all. I don't do cards for anything actually. They are a waste of time, money, and space.

my family does a christmas letter to keep up with family and old friends. my parents don't want to write it this year because we haven't done anything to talk about except my lil bro getting his eagle award.

We've never done a christmas letter. I don't think anyone in my family has.

I used to do Christmas letters.
But I stopped the year my Mom died.

I just couldn't bring myself to talk about it.

My sister did a really great letter this year about her son.
I cried when she read it to me.

ah, I was going to ask how your sister was doing as it's getting close to christmas. Is she doing well?

I think she's doing as well as can be expected.

They are keeping super busy which helps.

They've also had a few family visits. But they're going to be alone Christmas Eve, so I suspect that's going to be a problem.

that's too bad about being alone christmas eve. it couldn't be helped. at least now she's busy though. holidays really do have a way of keeping people busy.

They will also be alone until 10:00 Christmas morning.

So I fully expect that she's going to be sitting crying by the tree...
But that's OK too.

Crying is a good thing, as long as it's not carried on too long.
If she didn't cry a few times during the day on Christmas, I think the stress would just build up too much.

Actually, I think that since it seems to be easier for us females to cry, we're better off. Guys don't get that stress relief.

nah, guys do cry, they just don't admit it or do it where people can see. besides, they have their different way of dealing.

I think my hubby just gets ulcers.
