I will graduate...many years from now. I'm going to get some degree that requires lots of schooling. Not sure what yet, but it'll be long.

lol. i gradualted just this summer after 6 years of university and 4 years of highschool and however many in primary school... 10? yeah i think 10. fuck thats 20 years of schooling! and i still dont have a job that requires education!

i applied for one in my area that would have been perfect for me... but apparently i wasnt perfect for them. they really didnt feel like contacting me and when i contacted them... they were all like "wow, we appreciate your enthusiam... but we need someone more... qualified" and im like " im qualified" and they are like "yeah... but MORE is what we are looking for" and i was all 'oh... sorry for bothering you then' and they were all "good luck!" and im like "thanks..." but really its like if you really meant that, give me the job!

Wow. That sucks. I wish the job market was better. I'm hoping that by the time I'm out of school that it gets better. Hard to say, though.

They want MORE qualified? So many places are looking for people who aren't overqualified though.

i know! its such bull. they are either "your over qualified" or they are "your under qualified" apparently, i am just not what they want and i think they are all lieing to me.

its so upseting, because im just starting out and i feel like the real world just doesnt want me in it.

It's ridiculous. I mean, it seems like no one could possibly get hired the way things are. I'm always hearing about people looking for a job and getting turned away. I mean really.

yeah.. but its also because i lot of places dont want to lose revenue. not profit... that i could understand... but revenue. thats bullshit!

Why would they want to save on revenue as opposed to profit? Profit is where the money's at!

revenue is the rate at which profit increases. so if they earn the same amount last year as they do this year, their revenue is 0

Well, I guess they want more money quicker. It's ridiculous because ideally companies would be about getting the best workers not profit. That's idealistic though.

yeah well... they dont even do that sometimes. if companies switch to non toxic everything, they would save billions in pollution cleanup and stuff, as well as bills from their employees and taxes on the pollution they are allowed to produce. and its great publicity so people would buy their shit. and yet... they still dont do it.

These companies only think of the money they're getting now, not the future. It's such a greedy, self-centered ideology.
