*nod nod* I think I read six different versions of Beauty and the Beast that year. It's my favorite fairy tale by far. Beastly was the most original, even though I don't think it was the best. The originality made up for the things it lacked in.

I just thought of checking the library for Beastly...but since the movie is coming out...there's may be a wait on the book...if one of the libraries around here have it...but since I have a book coming and other ones I'm wanting to read, it's not like I have to have it now...

Edit: I looked it up...there's only one book total for the area around here and eight people already have it on hold. XD

Yeah, Beastly is going to be hard to get for a little while. The thing always has been. I'm not entirely sure how I came across it three years ago, but I know that it was almost impossible to find a copy of it for sale. I got lucky, I think.

Five holds isn't too bad, though. I get a lot of my music from libraries and I decided to look and see if I could get some Lady Gaga from them so I wouldn't have to pirate it off the internet...37 holds...yeah...that was the end of that idea. >.<

One of my favorite authors (Robin McKinley) did two versions of Beauty and the Beast, and they were really different. I quite enjoyed them. I believe they were called "Beauty" and "Rose Daughter." I know one of them left the beast as a beast, and that was the oddest thing. I think it made for a powerful story, though. The beast didn't need to be beautiful for Belle to continue loving him.

I have Rose Daughter, but haven't read it yet. I kinda forgot i had it.

Lol. I know that feeling. I think I have twenty books in my bookshelf that I've not forced myself to get around to yet. I keep finding stuff at the library that I want to read more.

I haven't read a book in a while. I have a rather large pile of books to read too.
