Well, she used to be a vet tech. Then she was a teacher. Then she was a medicalbilling/coder. Now she's unemployed.
Yeah, she liked being a vet too, except for her boss.

hm, that sounds interesting. My mom hasn't had a job for more than 19 years since she had kids, so my dad supports the multiple kids in college.

ah, I see. That must make life interesting. My dad is almost never home though, so its like I just have my mom a lot of the time. I think my dad is still in London. He flew there straight from a trip in Germany, so he hasn't been home in almost a month.

Wow. We almost never travel. If I was close to my Dad, I'd be very glad when he came home.

I don't even see him when he's at home since he works so late. He is always working, but I'm not even at home now, so whether he's there or not doesn't really matter to me. I feel sorry for my mom though since its just her and my little brother at home since me and my older brother are in college.

Oewh, mother talk? xD
My mom enjoys it being home alone. That way she can dust around.
She often leaves us at home too to go shopping. xD
But she'd miss us if we weren't to return, though. <3

yeah, I get what you mean. I never even knew my grandma on my mom or dad's side and my grandpa died as well. IT's like I'm sad I never got to know them really and they never got to meet most of their grandchildren.

I'm having rice cake pizza!
I knew 3 of my grandparents, but was only close to my Mom's mother. The other two were very odd people, like my father.

Oh, rice cake pizza sounds interesting. What's it like?
And I had the same situation, except I was never really "close" with my maternal grandmother so much as I don't feel like she disliked me.

It's really what you'd expect. It's a rice cake with sauce and cheese. The texture a little different than normal pizza. It's pretty tasty.

Oh, I've made something like that before, mini pizzas on English muffins. You put sauce and whatever toppings you want on them and then stick them in the oven until the cheese is melted. Delicious.

Hello hello! Anyone hanging around this Friday evening? (At least evening my time zone.)
Who's going away for the weekend? Everyone seemed to be when I went to run an errand at 4pm; traffic clogged both ways on roads that are usually commuter-pattern.
I re-discovered rooibos tea today; I used to drink it when I lived in the Netherlands, but found it again via a free sample thing. Orange rooibos. Yum! I should try it sweetened with milk over ice.

Hello! I wish I could go home, but I'm stuck on campus without a car. My roomie went home, so I get the room to myself though!

Oh, huzzah! I loved it when my college roommate wasn't around, too.
Is your campus the big kind that you need a car to get from building to building? I was lucky; we were a very walkable city, safe at night (usually), too.
Time to turn up the music or watch your favorite movie!

my campus is really small!! I can even walk into the city if I want to, but I don't. My roomie has a car, so we go shopping together sometimes.

Ah, that's what you meant by being carless.
So, what sort of classes are you taking? What's your major?

I'm back! Dinner was nice, I wasn't very hungry so I had an English muffin and a bowl of fruit. Sorry I vanished without a word, but it seemed like everyone was not responding.
