Oh wow...
it's hard for my friends to get me to shut up.
We're a loud & talkative bunch of people.

I was always louder around my friends, but throw in even one person I didn't know and I was lost. IT was the way I was raised. I wasn't allowed to talk to people I didn't know and I was never to share information about myself (favorite colour and such).

I still do it a bit even now, years later. I went to a party over the weekend and I only knew about people at the party and I practically followed my one friend around, and if I did go into a different room I would keep looking back keeping her in my sights.

Aw I was like that when I was younger.
My parents were pretty social, so I got use to being around people I didn't know a lot.

My father wasn't social and didn't allow me to be. He hated it when I went over a friends house, he even disliked it if I hanged out with my cousins.

Like I said, I'm getting better. xD

Sometimes I can't stop talking.
It depends about what and around whoever.

@Hatter: Yeah, it wasn't fun. I'm just scared to talk to people, like an extremely irrational phobia. I get slightly ill when I have to do certain things. The fact that I can walk into a store now, buy something, and respond to a cashier, without having an anxiety attack is amazing.
What's annoying is when some people - like my mom or some friends - pick at me for having problems with making phone calls or going to workers at places. I think I've made huge strides but to them I'm just the one whose 'to lazy' to go ask for help on her own.

As far as new people go, I'm probably one of the newest. I just joined hours ago. I'm honored to make your acquaintance, everyone.

I used to be a turtle hiding in its shell and I had no friends. Because I didn't have friends when I was growing up in my cructial developmental years it was hard for me to learn how to socialize and make friends. I always clung to my mom and couldn't relate to kids my age.

Kat; Yeah, I wasn't really ever around my parents much. Except for when I was "bartending" the parties they threw.

I feel like I should be able to relate to you guys but it's been so long since I made my first real friends that cured me of my social inabilities that I uh... forgot what it was like. Mostly I was just an outcast at every school I went to and those aren't fun memories.

bartending? oh dear. I wasn't really around anyone for the most part. I'd probably have been depressed (ataully I kinda was) as a kid if it wasn't for my brothers. I played with them alot. They were the only people I was really close to
