ARIA is a slice of life manga that takes place on a terraformed Mars a few hundred years into the future. It's about a girl who wants to become a gondolier (Undine) in the city of Neo Venice and has beautiful art and amazing cityscapes! Plus the anime has such lovely music... *wants to watch the anime again now*

Oh, I saw... let's see... Stand Alone Complex and one of the movies a long time ago. I didn't understand a lot and my memory is a little hazy but I do know I enjoyed it a lot!
Isn't it beautiful? It has such a slow pace too, it's a very relaxing show to watch but it still has some fun moments and silliness and lots and lots of character interaction and development. Ah... so pretty. ^^
The reason I want to do an RP with it is that it's a very wide setting with a lot of possibilities for making characters so I could have it set up to not have anything to do with the canon characters. I personally find a lot of trouble when having a limited fan RP because only the main characters are really involved in the plot or are so special that it's hard to make an OC that's not a Mary Sue.

the music is pretty Nenna. Aria looks intersting. I never saw Ghost in the Shell, but my professor showed the intro for the first movie in our class. I saw part of Stand Alone Complex and now I want to watch it all.

I found Ghost in the Shell beautiful and smart and a lot of it went right over my head. Sometimes it was a little too cerebral for me, and having to keep up with subtitles doesn't help or being stuck rewinding it because I didn't quite hear/understand what was just said didn't help. ._.

Oh, Keels, have you seen Akage no Anne? It's an anime based on Anne of Green Gables and is... well... more accurate than any of the American made series/movies I've ever seen! It's amazing and beautiful despite being made in the early 70s.
Rusalka are spirit of dead virgins/scorned women who seduce men to their deaths. xD
They lure them into the water and drown them. (They're the evil Mermaid)
At night they're seen on land though and seduce men for sexual favours.. after which they also die in their arms.
Oh, what region do they come from? I've never heard of those before. And I love the old fairy tales and mythical creatures too! I may have to start doing more research.
I've been doing research on them and other such creatures all night for my new username. Since Succubus was taken. They're a form of succubus anyhow. Much like Vila (more commonly known as Veela from Harry Potter) or Wili. I was considering Lamia, which is both one to seduce men and drain them dry of blood, serpent like and kill children. xD I liked the sound of Rusalka as a name better though.
They're from Slavic Mythology, there isn't a specific region for them.. They live in springs and at night climb trees or dance to seduce men.
