once again we are opposite Nenna. I was good with the keys of a piano...not that I didn't have to count lines on the music chart to know what note to play.... I can't read music.

I can't read it either I played by ear.

My teacher had to teach me some sayings; like "All Good Boys Do Fine" for the treble clef. mostly though I know the third space was the next C up from what I considered the starting point so it usually wasn't that bad. It got to the point where I would associate a space or a line with a specific key on the piano and wouldn't think of the letters associated at all. That made doing the technical homework much harder and my teacher never understood it.

I can't play by ear at all! I've tried... and failed. XD

Well I was good enough at it to make first seat at our recital but I only took it for a year. I kind of master something enough to satisfy me then I go on to something else.

I learned it that way too Nenna, but I was always counting up the staff in my head. I never memorized the position of more than middle c so I just played by judging how far away a note looked from that.

I'm kinda that way too, Saiya-chan. But not by choice, I'll puck up the basics quick but I don't really do well when it comes to becoming good at something.

Well... that should do you good enough to learn to play simple songs. That's all I ever really wanted.

basics are really hard for me. but past that, playing the piano is easy for me, I can memorize a song after playing it a few times, but if I memorize it wrong. like if I was playing it wrong at first, then I can't stop playing it the wrong way.

Darcy was alright. Right now though I am more interested in a certain Doctor I am watching Dr Who.

I suppose whatever I wrote seems like it's right out of Price and Prejudice is because right now I'm watching an anime called Victorian Romance Emma. Whenever I read a period book or watch a period show I tend to pick up those mannerisms temporarily. You should see me when I've been reading Shakespeare! ^^;

lol Nenna. I do that too. When I read Ruroni kenshin, me and my friend kept accidentally saying. "This one...does this" of "This one is hungry"
