Kat, if you like avatar sites, you'd probably love going to cons, they're a bit too much to explain in one post though. Anime cons like MomoCon are really popular now, but there are cons for all sorts of things like comics, sci-fi and fantasy, and the like.

oh, like an anime convention? Someone nearly dragged me to Iki-con. I didn't know avi sites did stuff like that.

I went to Sakura Con once, it was amazing! If we ever actually move up to Seattle I'd like to go on a regular basis. ^^

Kat, next time let yourself be dragged, lol. Even if you don't like anime there's a lot of fun stuff to do. I'm not big on anime but I'm big on art, and there's a lot to do with that at anime cons.

I kinda wanted to go, but it was over new years or something and I didn't want to miss that. I wanted to go to a con a few years ago, but my mom wouldnt let me...

Ah... lunch was good. Hubby feels a bit better too so it was a good afternoon.

There are indeed a lot to do at anime cons! Often times if you go to a big enough one there will be all kinds of... what are they called again? You go to a room with a bunch of people and there's like... a guy up front talking. You get all kinds of subjects though: cartoonists, web comics makers, voice actors, even famous websites like Gaia or Mene or Red vs Blue. Then there's the artist's alley or the booths in the shopping area. A lot of times the websites and other con guests will be there selling merchandise. And gawking at some of the costumes people wear is a lot of fun too.

wb Nenna. I want to go to a con eventually, but I want to be able to go with my friends.

Oh yeah, it's a lot more fun with friends. It can be a bit intimidating to go to a big con all alone.

or even with people you only sorta know. I didn't want to be dragged along with some guy I sorta know because a girl I sorta know was dragging him along. lol!

Oh yeah, you need good friends along for the maximum fun. Especially as you'll walk away with a ton of inside jokes to tease each other with.

oh yes!!! I already have more inside jokes with my good friends than I can keep track of! I almost think it would be fun to go with my cousins even if they arent interested in things like anime.

That sounds like a lot of fun, going with your cousins. You should at least try.

yeah, its too bad we don't get to see each other often, but we're all pretty close and have inside jokes that our parents don't understand and such. Even my brothers are bearable when the extended family are all together.
