Lexi saw the Twilight movie Friday...and like any teenage girl, she was all kinds of giggly and squealing when she got home.

I haven't read any of the books, but I saw the first movie. It was alright...but it's definitely not on par with Dracula. I'm not sure if I want to continue to keep up with the series or not at this point.

I think I want to go after Dracula type stuff. I'll stick to writing my vamp. stories.

You write vamp stories, too? That's cool. That's usually what I like to write when I can get my muse to work properly. lol

I read the first Twilight book and liked it, but watched the movie first. I'm always disappointed if I read the book and then watch the movie.
I'm not giving up my Gaia account either... but I find I spend more time on Mene now....

lol, I haven't ever finish a vamp story, but I do so love to write. I was getting far in my last novel called Dark Nosferatu, but I just gave up.

Maybe if you just take a break and then go back to it later it would work for you, Kat...?
Ravyn, I didn't know you wrote vamp stories... I just knew you like to write....

Most of the stories I try to write are based around my vamp character...incidentally, her name is Ravyn. I like to write other stories as well, though :) Unfortunately, the only time I've ever really completed a story is when it was only a page or two long and meant to be posted on the MUD I used to play on.

I wrote a murder mystery... but my English prof said it didn't have enough clues... My best writing was when I wrote about how I felt one time...

I should go back to my story, but its been a year at least since I stopped writing in it. I looked back at it too and realized it sucked!!! Part of the reason I gave up is that the computer I was using crashed. I don't know if I have all the data on my usb.

Sorry you lost your story, Kat... seems they always suck when you go back and read them, but then you get some ideas about how to make them better. Besides... you told us you had an ending to one of your stories, and now all of us are going to be anxiously waiting for the story. =)

lol, the one with the ended I do intend to finish! Its my piece for nanowrimo and maybe one day it will be published!!! I have part of it up on my story thread here.

Indeed. There's nothing better than a good story. Another thing to keep in mind is that you are your own worst critic...at least that's how it works for me. My opinion of anything that I've written is usually way lower and a lot more harsh than that of anyone who's read what I've written.

Good luck with nano and getting your story published. I keep joining every year....but I'm lucky if I ever get the time to just get the story started. I have yet to finish one for it.

yeah, I'm still getting better with each day I write, so my old stuff really is pretty bad.
