It was a little chilly this morning, but lately the weather has warmed up to the point where the snow has been melting to slush and then freezing again at night. I don't mind the weather, and I love the snow to death, but I can't stand the driving conditions.
They're just godawful! It's icy and on the weekends where the traffic is dense, there's always a car or two in the ditch. I think it's namely because the snow hides the lines on the road, so it's tough to tell how many lanes there are, or where lanes begin.

I have seen snow 3 times in my life so you can be sure I never drove in it. I like snow, but freezing temps. are like the death of me.

I'm used to it, so I don't mind. I enjoy a cool temperature; it's when it gets hot out that I'm bothered. I think the maximum temperatures rarely reach above the 80's.

I was afraid to go out because its freezing (I don't think literally but it feels like) but the caroling was moved to the chapel. Now I'm waiting for my group partner to meet me so we can hopefully get some work done!

Well it was kind of last minute I was only going to make sushi but the person that was going to have it at his place had to go do mamograph calibrations. So we decided to do it at our house, especially since it looked like I was going to have to do the cooking.

I need to do another sushi night here...my kids are asking for it again. My youngest loves to help make it...I think he may grow up to have a career as a chef, he absolutely loves to do it.

so what kind of sushi do you make? I make crabmeat and pickled radish, Philadelphia rolls(tuna, cream cheese and avacado), Smoked salmon and cream cheese( I call that one Jewish sushi), shrimp and washabi, flying fish roe, and fired tofu

Japanese food doesn't like me, I haven't quite figured out why yet. :/ Maybe if I went to actual Japan instead of just Japan Town, San Fran?
Sorry I just vanished earlier, work called me in on an emergency.

*creeps in* I like the Japanese food in Japan Town. It's probably the best you can get without going to Japan. Although, one place there definitely gave me food poisoning. Don't remember the name of it, it was in the plaza behind the hardware store on the second level. x_x
The stuff I've had in the mall has always been tasty though. I don't eat sushi so I tend to have yakisoba and okonomiyaki and stuff like that.

I'm not very good at it, really...still toying around with the sushi book my mom got me for Christmas a couple of years ago. I usually use cream cheese and either crab meat or fried shrimp...maybe sometimes add in some cucumber and the sweet spongey egg stuff. Once in a while I'll make oniri (rice balls) to go with it.
There are a few Japanese steak houses around here that are pretty good...but nothing's better than getting it in Japan.
Hiya, Nanenna and Cookie :)
