Yea, part of the reason is because people have no idea all the complicated things that go behind running a big site like this.

Oh yeah, they complain about the most inane things and have no idea how it actually works. It's quite a bit frustrating to deal with them all day, especially when they don't listen to reason.
Edit: I'm going to go shower and get the day started. Chat with you later.

How did you do on your finals and how was your birthday.
I am doing good. I obsessively just played that fishing game on here for awhile and my hand hurts now. D= LOL, I didn't realize how fun and how painful it was both at the same time.

I did great on 2 of my finals, no idea yet on the rest. My birthday was good, mostly because everyone got snowed in at my house. xD
I love that fishing game, though I'm a bit more addicted to that fangirl game

Except when I have to shovel it. T_T
Otherwise I prefer a snowball fight over a water balloon fight any day.

Haha, I can totally relate to that. Man, I don't mind snow at all except when I get snowed in and it has to be shoveled.
I am way too out of shape to shovel it myself though. D= I have back problems to begin with, but I ignored them and tried to shovel snow for about 20 minutes one time and instantly my back gave out. I can't do it.

Come to the New England Area, we are covered in it! xD
Seriously the roads are still bad. Days after the storm.

We almost never get snow here, or if we do, it either melts as soon as it hits the ground or it won't stick to the roads so that schools aren't closed anyway.
Now that I'm in college, I prefer them not cancelling classes, but in high school, I always prayed for snow days. They're a lot less destructive than hurricanes, which we got days off for a few times.

I got more than a week off for Ike, but I'm sure if it snowed at all, we'd get a snow day. Eve if its just in the air, we don't know how to drive in it and the kids in grade school and such deserve to enjoy the one time in their lives they might see it snowing at home. I'd want a snow day at college because I'd want a chance to play in the snow, but its alright with college classes because it isn't straight one class after another.

With college... I payed money for these classes! Having one canceled is like not getting my money's worth out of it. XD
It never snows in the part of Cali I live in. But we're right next to the mountains so it's easy to get to snow.

Well, there's the money part, and then there's the part of me that actually likes my classes and my professors. One of my classes next semester is Modern East Asia, and I'm hoping that I may be able to recycle at least part of a paper I wrote for a previous class.

They're being all hush-hush about it. I'd almost started to wonder if they were even doing one at all until I saw the thing about the pre-event thread.
Well, it'll definitely need to start soon. It'll be Christmas Eve in just a few hours, after all.

Several hours here, but not everyone runs on Cali time. XB
Wasn't Halloween all hush hush too? And Celes Paradi before that? The only two events here on Mene I didn't really learn much about until the actual events started. What are the Christmas events usually like?

Halloween was my first event, so I don't know how they're usually like.
It's not bad, but it does seem a little odd that they haven't really mentioned anything about it until suddenly--it's almost here. It kind of leaves me being like "What? Wait--we're doing this?"
You know, just sort of off guard even though I expect something to happen.
Can you imagine if they really didn't do anything for Christmas? It's the sort of thing people have come to expect of sites like this, so I'm sure there'd be a number of unhappy users. Even so, I can imagine some other people being quietly thankful that there was one place not making a big deal over the season. It must be hard for people who don't celebrate Christmas to have the holiday constantly shoved in their face. Well, maybe it's just frustrating, but still...

I find it a little frustrating that they start so late, I have stuff to do and waiting until the last minute to start the event means I won't really get to take part because I'm doing things in the real world.
I find it nice to have events like this when I don't really celebrate the holiday. A lot of the time I won't have anything to do for Halloween so it's nice to get on here and earn prizes while it's slow because everyone else is out trick-or-treating or going to parties.
