yea...about 15 problems ago i did...ok, this one i got...it is a "which one is bigger" problem (absolute value of -12 or absolute value of -1...totally absolute value of -12)

yea...apparently i got it wrong cause i forgot the negative sign...it was -5 to the power of 0 and i just put 1 when it should have been -1

I... have never heard of that before. I didn't think a negative sign would make a difference!

you know since 0 is considered even i figured that would make the answer positive, but i guess since i really didn't do anything it stays negative...this is y ppl hate math...

Yeah... and stuff like that is why people hate it. But it's like... when do you actually use 0 as an exponential outside of algebra?

my question is when in real life do you use algebra period??

Astronauts. Engineers. Architects. Physicists. Chemists. Trust me.... I was so glad I had taken algebra before I started getting into the college level chemistry because you WILL use it.

Nanenna...i'm majoring in ADN (associates degree nursing)...i have yet to see any nurse use algebra...i could be wrong, but i just havent seen it yet
