Then again, just because I don't know guys who'd say "huggles" doesn't mean they don't exist. I do come from a small town in the South after all.

Hn... Gaia...
I remember that site. I have to say, even though it takes more to earn gold here, I prefer Menewsha. It's got a nicer atmosphere, and the mods seem to take their job seriously without being overbearing about it.
I live in the Carolina area.

I don't see your sig, Mehimaru.
I've never been to Mississippi. I've heard it's got quite some lovely places to see, but mostly I hear about it as the butt of jokes around here. It's one of the places people from my state use to make themselves better whenever a new national rankings list of whatever sort.

Muse, I couldn't see someone's once and I was told to refresh the page. It worked for me. Maybe you could try that. I know I have one.
Another PS, y'all could just call me Mehi. It's an RP character name the "maru" is not really part of her name.

Okay. I'll just shorten your name then. I thought it was a somewhat interesting name since "maru" is a relatively common ending for Japanese male names. I didn't think you were male, so it made a little curious if that was intentional or something you'd just tacked on.

Sadly, Muse, I know exactly what you mean. And sadly, those national ranking thingies are completely right about us. Well, not technically us, because I don't fall into the Mississippi stereotypes. I just live here. I'm not fat or stupid or anything.
See, Muse, I do know what the "maru" means and I was being funny with it.

Oh, I really know what you mean, Mehi. I don't fit into all of the stereotypes of my state either. I'm 150lb, which is pretty average for someone my height and have been measured at a 183 IQ.
The thing about IQ is that it doesn't measure factual knowledge. Those tests look at problem solving, lateral thinking, spacial reasoning, and many other things that book smart people absolutely fail at. Intelligence isn't just measured by facts that you can recall from the top of your head. That's like being an information parrot, really. They can repeat the facts, but the larger concepts escape them completely.
Ah. Well, clever you then.

Actually clever me is the story of me and the crayons. Now that proves how backwards my brain is...
Wow, that was very interesting...how have I ever claimed my brain actually worked?!?!

Meh. I'm someone who makes tenuous connections between things that eventually work out to make almost perfect sense but seem utterly random at first appearance.
I had fun today. I had the day off from work and went to the college campus to get the last couple of my books for the upcoming semester (we start next week). That turned out to be a total bust, but it turned out that all of my professors were in their offices while I was there, so I stopped by to visit them. Honestly, talking with them, there are times I feel less like one of their students and more like one of their friends.

I feel that way with some of my professors, Muse. One in particular because he is sheer crazy!!! He teaches west civ but keeps going on and on about critical thinking.
That whole illogical at the beginning but logical at the end is like my crayon story. Well, not really cause everyone always asks the same question when I'm done telling it. "Why didn't you just subtract 9 from 24?" and I always give the same answer. "Because at that moment in time that problem did not seem to fit the equation."

That's cool. It's like that with all of my professors... and they're all history professors. It just seems less like a teacher/student relationship when one of them starts telling off color jokes because he knows, at that point, that you won't be offended by them.

Yeah... Rubin and McConnell are a little more on the subdued side of crazy.
Though I am a bit concerned about a new professor I may be ending up with for the senior seminar class now. She's not a history professor, she's not open to points of view other than her own, and I don't like her. If she hadn't been standing right there when Rubin and McConnell were talking about it, I might've actually said something. She's not going to be any good with my thesis topic.
