It's a cricket! Please don't spray this one - it's relatively tame!

Good morning everybody!
Mimi dear, do I remember that you're in Amsterdam? There's something on CNN about a plane crash at the airport there. I believe you said that you live near the airport? Are you all right?

I know!!! D: I'm fine though. I don't quite live NEAR the airport but it's a 20 minute ride.
I was at my internspot when it happened. We were all needed at the Trauma department. It was horrible T_T But so far there has only been 9 people who haven't survived. Not a happy thought, but it could've been worse. Seeing all those people being rushed in and all...It was all so hectic. But not all were sent to us though. We do have two people who are in critical condition though...And after they had came to us and things had been started we went back to our own ward and things were...quiet. So strange. D:

How dreadful! At least you're all right. It sounds like Amsterdam has a very good response system to these sorts of crises.
How is everybody else doing? I see that we have a cricket here! Don't worry, I don't allow nasty sprays in the shop!
Dream and Elmira have also stopped by. How nice!

Ah, I must say I am rather worried though. It appears the engines failed and though the crash could've been worse he landed out in a field. Apparently he really dropped from the sky, which is odd.
Crickets are cute ^^ I dislike grasshoppers though D: They always stick to my fingers ><

Mimi you make me laugh! How many grasshoppers have you picked up?
I don't believe I've ever picked up a grasshopper, so I don't know whether they would stick to my fingers or not.

I've picked up quite a few :3
They always stick to my mom's car since it's a light green color. I always pluck them off XD
You should try it. Somewhere it feels awesome x3

I think they bite, don't they?
I had one land on my arm once, and it bit me before I could brush it off.
I don't do well with bugs and crawly things. Spiders horrify me!

In high school we read a book that had locusts in it, and we had to do a 'museum' project so a bunch of groups brought in grasshoppers as a display. Like real one you buy for lizard food.
My teach gave automatic A's to anyone who ate the live grasshoppers. I got an A. XD

That's...Horrid x.x;;
Spiders I totally disgust. I always call for my dad even when he's out!
Else I vacuumclean the room and suck them in while at it ;;>_>
I must honestly say I never ate a bug. Glad too x.x;;
But I can not recall to have ever been bitten by them. Why else would I still pick them up? o.o

Your teacher sounds very strange.
I would think he would get in trouble for making you eat grasshoppers for an A.
I realize that they are considered food in some places, but that sounds out of line.

It was optional. XD
I think he might have been kidding.
Another student and myself took him seriously, so he kept his word and gave us A's.
@Mimi: I like spiders, they're cute!

I'm glad you're ok Mimi - I'm sure the experience you've had wasn't fun though :(
This cricket - like the others on Menewsha - is quite nice :)
We've had black widows in our home. They are horrid. Several months ago, my daughter found one in one of the bathrooms. When I went to spray it, several dozen if not hundreds of tiny spiders came off of it - it was as though it had all of the babies with it. I was quite horrified to think that ALL of them could have been crawling around my home. The downside is that there aren't effective pesticides to deter them from coming into a house.

Dream dear, kitties and puppies are cute.
Spiders however, are not.
`laughs`
Some people are bug people and the rest of us are people who are bugged.
I suspect my reaction stems from the fact that I'm very allergic to bites. If I get an ant bite or a spider bite, I tend to swell up, and it gets very infected. Generally I end up with antibiotics.
Therefore, I try to stay away, and hope that they stay away from me as well.

Elmira, that's quite horrible!
I've seen those baby spiders. `shudder`
A friend of mine dusts something called 7 around the outside of her house in Houston. Supposedly that keeps the bugs from coming inside.
We have a pest control come quarterly.
When you have children, those are not good options.

Pest control. Sounds a pretty good idea :3
We live nearby fields. So we have a chance of getting mice and spiders and other types of bugs in our home. So far only one spider. A big one though XD In the sink in the kitchen. I was home alone so I called up my daddy who just left. He came back while he was on his way to work, grabbed the spider with a lot of paper then put it on the floor and stamped on it. Sorry if that broke your heart Dream but the spider was bigger than my dad's hands AND shoes! D:

My mom doesn't like killing them so she always scoops them up on a piece of paper and lets them free. I don't mind them normally, but if they're bigger tahn my palm (byu leg length, not body size) I get a little freaked.
