I have quite a sweet tooth.

Granny - I thought about using 7, but everything I read made me feel like that may not have helped. I need to take a look at the local hardware store and read what it says on the can. We were so freaked out by the baby spiders that nobody would use that bathroom for over a week. We've seen scorpions as well. I won't even discuss fire ants. The southeastern US is pretty bug-infested. On the other hand, we usually see tons of butterflies, grasshoppers, praying mantis, and stick bugs. I prefer to think of those creepy crawlies instead of spiders - adult and otherwise.

In my home, I'm the designated bug squisher. Something nearly offensive about a dangerous critter in the home brings out my inner huntress.

Oh. Saw a possum crossing the road the other evening - never saw one move so fast before!

When we first moved into our home, we had a couple of kitties.

We used to find bits of scorpions around. Our vet said the the kitties had probably been hunting them, and that a scorpion sting wouldn't hurt them.

The scorpions generally only show up in new homes, caused by the disturbance of the limestone layers when they were building. Normally they stay away from houses.

We were just lucky. It seems that I find them more every year. Still, that 7 stuff sounds promising from what I recall. I was thinking of adding it to a couple of raised beds we have in order to destroy the fire ant hills that tend to spring up. Unfortunately, my cat and many others in the vicinity like the raised beds for cat boxes - so, not so interested in growing much in them right now!
