I'm mostly just stressed. In two weeks, I don't have a place to live. I'm trying to live off of this contract work, but one of my projects is taking a break this month, and all of the work I was supposed to have this past week was delayed for one reason or another, which means no money. And I feel stupid for getting involved in this drama last night in one of the Celes threads, but at the same time I'm still really pissed at the person who started it. I'm trying to be the better person and just say nothing else.

And I need to be packing, but I don't have any boxes, any guarantee that the UPS service is actually going to pick up my stuff at the end of the month since I can't find a real person to confirm my reservation, and no place for them to take it anyway.

Ouch... what about family and friends? Is no one willing to help you out with a temporary place to live until your contract work picks back up?

And Mene drama is always the worse, because some people just can't let go.

I can stay with my brother and his wife in Boston for a little while, I'm sure, but they only have a one bedroom apartment and I doubt they want me crashing in their family room forever.

I'm not going to be homeless. I can always go back to Illinois and stay with my parents, or down to Delaware and stay with my other brother and wife (or LA and stay with Waffle XD), but travel costs money, and if I'm not in Boston, it'll be harder to find a place here. I worry I'll go stay with my parents for "just a month" and end up stuck in Illinois.

I don't want to live in Illinois. <<,, I don't care how much cheaper it is.

I can't blame you for not wanting to live in Illinois. I hated it when I lived there.

I'd offer my place to stay, but I'm not sure you'll want to sleep on my couch, in the livingroom where some scrawny white guy will be bugging most of the day. Hehe. Though it is damn comfy. I hope you can find someplace more permanent though. Do you have to be anyplace specific for you contract jobs?

No, it's all internet based, so I can pretty much live anywhere. I thought about moving somewhere else, but I do like it in Boston, and it would be expensive to move most places.

And if you're comfortable somewhere, then it's really best to try to stay there. I've been lucky to stay in San Diego as long as I have. I'm hoping to be able to swing that luck for a long time to come. I can't imagine having to live anywhere else.

So what is it that you do?

Social media marketing, editing, and writing, mostly. I have a masters in publishing and writing and a lot of publishing experience, but most of the work I do now is just straight marketing using the internet for any company.

Sounds more hi-tech than I know anything about. Hehe.
When you have work, it pays well? Or do you have to have small side jobs to help take care of the bills?

It doesn't pay as much as it should. XD But that's the issue with this economy. Employers can pay lower because people need the money.

I'm so glad that my income is set and can't be changed.
Well it can, when I make rank. Which I did a few months ago, but am still waiting on being paid. Hopefully by Thanksgiving i'll see the jump in pay.

Well it took me nearly 6 years to make rank from E-4 to E-5 ... but it really depends on how well you know your job and how hard you study for the advancement exams. I've not been in my job for the last 6 years... so I never got to learn my job. I finally just passed this last testing cycle.

I can sell you an AUgust o9 set for 2k? ;D
