The Back story

Warning: contains spoilers

Fable
Deep in the forest lay the small town of Okevale. There lived a boy and his family. The boy had a dream of one day becoming a hero. Sometimes he saw himself as a noble knight, and other times he wanted become an evil warrior. He had no idea of the power of the destiny that lay before him.

One day on his sisters birthday his peaceful town was raided by bandits. Blood red flames lit the sky that night. While hidden behind a fence the boy could only watch in complete terror. It was then he met a hero that had come to defend Okevale from the bandit attack; however it was too late. Only the boy and few others lived. The hero Maze, a master of will power; took the boy in. The boy was brought to the hero's guild in a far away place and the guild became his school, home and life.

Soon he grew old and left his childhood behind and became a strapping young lad. He started taking on the world as a hero. His deeds earned the gratitude of thousands and also struck fear into their hearts. But the same question lay unanswered for many years. Who was behind the attack that led him here?

After many quests he learned that a very dark and powerful hero from the old kingdom called Jack of Blades was behind the attack because he knew that the boy had heroic blood in him from the start. The boys mother has been a hero and was the first to slay the great balverine.

Finally the boy who now grew very old, had caught up to Jack enough to confront him in the far northern lands of Albion called "The northern Wastes". Jack had led him to an old kingdom chamber inside the bronze gates. It had been a place where the hero's of the old kingdom had sealed Jack and it was also the place where Jack could unleash his full power.

Some say our hero nor Jack made it outside the gates. Some say the hero did slay jack and died of old age. No one knows what happened to our hero. But jack's evil had been crushed. Our hero had only one known name "The Choice".


Fable II
Generations had passed and heroes and their guild became nothing but old stories for children. Albion had changed, grand cities, new inventions had been made. But such things are not as it seems. The heroic bloodline survived and few heroes still lived. "The Choices" sister who lived through his life now had a mission to restore the guild and bring heroes back into this new world.

In the noisy city of Bowerstone lived two children. They also had a dream but unlike "The Choice" they wanted a better life. They did not live with a family. Instead they were on their own and were forced to survive in the lower slums of Bowerstone while the rich looked down on them as they stood up in their castle.

As they roamed the streets they met a trader who claimed he sold relics from the old kingdom. The older sister Rose did not believe in magic and said that the trader was a fake. It was then they met Theresa, "The Choices" sister. During the Okevale raid her eyes had been cut out by Jack because he wanted to know where her brother was hiding. Jack had no use for her and gave her to the bandits. Surprisingly she had became very useful to the bandits because she could see the future in her dreams.

As Theresa heard the voice of Rose she shook her head and said "we live in dark times indeed if children are to world wary to believe in magic" She then convinced the two orphans to buy a music box that granted a single wish. So they did, and wished to live in a nice castle. And so it was, the next morning a servant from the castle came to their shack and brought them to the castle. However not all is what it seems.

The very sad and troubled lord of the castle only wanted them for their heroic blood that had been passed down. Lord Lucian wanted to end the bloodline so they would not stop him from building an evil device from the old kingdom that also granted one wish as well as absolute power over Albion.


Lord Lucian killed Rose. However her younger sibling little Sparrow had survived. Sparrow was shot out of a tall window and landed in the dark alleyways of Bowerstone. Theresa had found Sparrow and took Sparrow to a small gypsy camp where our new hero grew up. Just like "The Choice" Sparrow became a hero and just like Jack Lord Lucian had replaced the evil.

Sparrow became strong and grew up to be a powerful hero. People were thrilled to see that the heroes of old had been revived and evil could now be matched. Lord Lucian was stopped and his evil devise destroyed, and the guild rebuilt. And just like "The Choice" Sparrow had vanished from Albion.

PVP and Combat Rules

I will allow players to bet items and/or gold when in PVP as well I will grant Exp to the winner or the loser depending on the fight. IE: Brutal victory winner (300exp) loser (0exp), honorable victory: winner (200exp) loser (100exp), Draw: 200 exp each.

-PVP winners are determined by the spectates and not the people fighting. Fights are won based on experience, creativity in your posts while fighting and your use of items or spells. After a fight the spectators call a vote in the OOC to see who wins. Pst what kind of victory you think was won or lost.

-you can only cast a spell two times during a fight, items however can be used as many times as you wish. Spells can only be countered or dogged/blocked with other spells or items, vice-verse with items. Spells cannot be casted two at the same time, you must wait one round before your first spell has ran out.

-While in combat with another player or a player playing an NPC: if you are the aggressor you send two different attacks at your opponent, the opponent can only block one and must be hit by one of the two. Do not auto hit , after your two attacks your opponent is the attacking and you get to pick what attack to not get hit by.

Kiel was raised in a far away land where elves live. His family made a living off of trading different goods. One day Kiel had gone with his father on a ship and set sail to the land of Albion. Kiel and his father landed at the ruins of Okevale. They were both shocked because the land had become a dark swamp. Rowan's mother was a servant, his father the noble. This was not good since the nobleman had a wife. She knew of the affair and treated his mother and him worse then animals. The noble kept them around because if word got out that he had a son with a servant then his reputation would be ruined. Rowan's mother and him always were mistreated. Frequently getting hit for no reason. At the age of 10 Rowan's father walked into his room while he was sleeping and attacked him. His mother hit him with a shovel allowing Rowan to escape. However his mother was killed that night. Rowan ran out of Bowerstone to the Bower Lake region and came across a gypsy camp. That became his home for three years while he trained for vengeance. After that he was accepted into the guild and stayed there till now. While at the Hero's Guild he calmed down and his goals became more about helping people then vengeance. However that night is burned into his mind and he still plans to get his revenge.

Growing up in the poorer area of the large Bowerstone city was hard for him, it would be hard for anyone. He never particularly liked the guards, when guards came around it meant less food, or the criminal scum his father was always around. He showed considerable skill for pick pocketing at a young age and in this art is how he met a guild hero. Instead of punishing the child for stealing from him this hero taught him how to play several instruments, hold the paint brush, and some quick tricks to disable unwanted guests. He left behind his life in Bowerstone and began living at the guild, his first day at the guild was the same day he turned fourteen.

Kiel had just woken up from a good long sleep and stood in his room looking out his window seeing the guild court yard. He could still somewhat see the morning dew hazed over the lush greenery. Kiel was lucky enough to get a good sized room with a view and also a vine that crawled up the outside wall beside his window. Kiel did not dilly dally for long because he was already late for breakfast. He needed to be down at the guild dining room and tavern. He got dressed and closed up his room and made his way down stares. As he entered the dining room he bore a shock of impress. The room was large and rectangular. It was lit with colors of gold and brown. In the center of the room lay a long table spreading from one side of the room to the other. All of the guild apprentices set there and exchanged conversation as they dun into their meals.

Vienn pushed her way through the last of the brambles and looked back at them scowling. Glad I'm out of that mess. When she turned around she paused in shock. A large building had come into sight. Huh. Favouring brush over roads- who knew it would lead to civilization? Well as long as I'm here... She walked up to the doors and pushed one open gently. Aromas of food wafted out the crack and made her mouth water, as a glint came into her eye. And there might even be something worth stealing. Stealthily, she opened the door just enough for her to slip in, and then walked forward, looking around curiously, until she came to a room where a small group of people were seated. She leaned against the side of the open archway and decided to wait until someone noticed her.

As Kiel was about to sit down he perked his ears up and turned around. He spotted a slightly hidden girl. "yes, they're my ears....you here for breakfast?" he asked. It was Kiel's first day in the guild so he figured he'd make a few friends and get to know everyone.

Vienn raised her eyebrows in surprise at the man's friendliness. The people she knew wouldn't be anywhere close to as hospitable. Ignoring the stares of every other person at the table, she walked over to him and sat down in the vacant seat to his left. "And what strange ears they are," she murmured, picking up some type of pastry she had never seen before and sniffing it.

Kiel set down beside her. He looked down at his empty plate and looked around the table that had been full of very strange human food. Another guild apprentice passed him a platter of sausage. He looked at it strangely and plopped a bit on his plate. He continued to look at it, as well as the food that was being passed around the table. Kiel smiled in a funny way. "It all looks...exotic" he said before letting out an awkward laugh.

"Maybe to you," Vienn retorted, "Exotic." She shook her head. "It's not exotic, it's just... luxurious. And luxury is not something I'm used to." She looked at the sausages on his plate and tilted her head, then speared one with a sharp stick she had made herself. She sniffed it, took a small bite, shrugged, and then ate the rest of it. "If this is exotic to you then I don't even want to know what 'normal' is."

Many different plates and bowls came around with an equally strange look to Kiel. One in particular was a slimy white blob with a yellow cecal in the middle of it. Kiel started to poke the yellow part with his fork. Suddenly it had popped and the yellow oozed out. Kiel shook his head in confusion as he began to eat. "well whatever feeds me I guess. So how long have you been here? as an apprentice I mean"

Vienn stopped chewing the bagel that was in her mouth and then burst out laughing. She started choking on the food and covered her mouth, shocked at her own reaction to his question. She hadn't laughed like that... ever. She could see that he was shocked at her reaction too, because it had been a perfectly honest question. Stupid, but honest. She finally managed to get the rest of the bagel down, and then smiled secretively. "Well... I've never been an apprentice and never will be... of whatever it is you do here." I'm not suited to an honest job, she added in her head.

This was a completely confusing way to start the day. Thought Kiel and he still had a bit of strange food in his mouth half crewed. "what so you here visiting or something" Kiel didn't really know the run down of thing nor how the guild operated. Nor did he suspect anything unethical about this girl. He continued to chow down and turn a blind eye to her answer. This was strange food after all and a crazy looking ring shaped thing she was eating may have tasted awful.

Not quite knowing what to say, Vienn was silent for a moment. "Visiting. You must be new?" she said, trying to distract him from the fact that she didn't fit in with anyone, let alone these well mannered people. Hopefully he has something that some rich maniac will buy for a lot. Of course, it will probably be found out eventually... but I'll be long gone by then.

Kiel tilted his head and finished up his plate. "quite so...but I like this place" He replied full heatedly as he slouched on his chair enjoying the feeling of a full belly.

Vienn scrunched up her nose and said "It's too cozy." She glanced over at the rest of the table, some of whom glared back at her, and then turned back to her new friend. "And they don't look like they're very welcoming to newcomers. The food is good though," she added as an afterthought. "Beds to sleep in, I presume. Shelter, food, everything's provided, but it seems a bit boring." Vienn yawned and then asked "What do you do here anyway?"

Kiel folded his arms and leaned them on the table. "well there are lots to do, this place is full of life. There is a beautiful courtyard, training areas a magic island. Also the guild woods. If your looking for an adventure or a chance to improve yourself head into there it's a huge place and also very old....oh" Kiel paused as he thought about the purpose of the guild "the hero's guild is where students with some promise learn to become heroes, just like in the Chronicles of "the choice".

"Huh." Improve yourself. The words rang through Vienn's head until she shook her head to clear it. I'd rather have a good chase and fight any day. "Sounds, uh... interesting." Then what he had sunk in and she sat up straight and looked at him intently. "I didn't know they were training heroes again. I must have been gone for a long time..." Vienn's face flickered into a sad expression, but it disappeared as quickly as it came.

Kiel stood up and stretched out before adjusting his armor. "well time to go see Theresa see what she wants me to do." each new student of the guild had to complete a placement assessment that would be given by the guild mistress herself. It would determine what type of training you would be given throughout a heroes experience in the guild until they become a hero.

"Oh." Vienn shifted uncomfortably in her seat and then stood up quickly. Uncomfortable with spending so much time around people, she glanced around distractedly before looking back at the man. "Umm, I should probably be going." Or at least get outside. She started walking away, but then stopped and called back at him "I'm Vienn."

Kiel placed his helmet on his head. "Kiel...well if you want to get outside the guild the guild mistress in just on the way. Theresa is normally in the map room near the exit always giving heroes advice. The other two ways out lead up a little bit of stared and into the court yard and bayond that you have the training grounds, graveyard and further back is the demon door and trail leading into the guild woods,....good luck at..what ever you're doing"

"Thanks." Almost breathless, she whirled around and ran to the last doorway Kiel had pointed to. Once in the courtyard, she leaned against the wall and took in a few deep breaths. Since when have I been claustrophobic? And in that big a room... It must be all the time I've spent in the open, alone. She gazed up at the sky for a moment, and then sighed when she heard footsteps approaching. She turned around and quickly examined the roof of the guild, then jumped, grabbed a section that would hold her weight, and swung herself up onto the tiles. As silently as possible, she walked over to a tower and sat down half behind it, so that she could see and not be seen. A couple of girls walked out into the courtyard and laughed at something one of them had said. Companionship, she sighed. Who needs it?

Moments later Kiel walked into the court yard. He wondered around and eventually found a bench and plopped down on it. He then took out a letter baring the guild symbol on the seal. He went through the contents of the letter. "hmm...look around there are quests to be found, everyone needs something done there are rewards to be won...?" Kiel read out to himself.
