Shadow stood his ground and wasnt' going to move. He growled but this growl sounded different, it sounded like some monster.

Amber smiled at looked at how brave shadow was. Then whispered to Hazel "your lucky to have a man like that"

"He's not my-" she thought about it. "Hmm." she thought she heard a growl, but it wasn;t the lions. Suddenly she realized that was Shadow!

The lon roared and rushed him. He knocked Shadow into the cave and he roared triumphantly. "Shadow? you ok?" she asked, worried.

Shadow stood up "fine" he said then lunged at the lions face and bit into its eye. He looked like some demon thing with all this blood on him now.

The lion swatted Shadow aside and growled. "I'll kill you first then." he decided.

The second cub had come out. She had been licking it when she heard that. "Amber, can you lick this cub?" she asked.

Amber came over and nodded "yes" then licke dthe club"

Shadow growled again and jumped onto the lion again. this time bitting harder into his eyes

"Ok, hold onto the one that's already dry please." she said, giving the small bundle of fur to her. She stood up and jumped on the lion's back.

Amber nodded and took the other pup.

Shadow then bit into the lions neck. He bit into it so hard that he felt bones break in his mouth

Hazel was now mad. Disrupting a lovely moment such as giving birth to cubs was NOT supposed to be interrupted.

The lion felt that he was losing. he felt another wolf jump on, the one that was in pain before. He felt bones crunching, he had gone to far. He flung the she-wolf against the wall and started fighting the male wolf.

Shadow got even mader when he flung hazel to the wall and howled. Then bit into the lion again and started to tear at is neck. He growled every now and then. But his growls sounded like a demon and he looked like one too as he fought.

Amber looked at Hazel "are you okay"

Hazel had gone out for a moment, but then came to. "Yeah, I'm fine." she felt the last cub coming out.

Shadow continued to tear at the lion and soon it layed on the ground dead. Shadow stood over it with blood covered his fur and he started at the dead lion.

Amber looked at the dead lion "good it is dead"

Hazel was a little scared at Shadow's appearance. He was covered in blood and that look in his eyes was back. "Come here." she said as she licked off the little cub's fur. "Your a mess. at least clean yourself"

Shadow looked at her and he smiled. "good your okay" he said with a sigh. Then walked over to her.

Amber looked at shadow and whispered to Hazel "your the luckyest wolf in the world to have that strong of a man. I have never heard of one wolf taking done a mountain lion."

"Well, he wasn't alone." she pointed out. This time she didn't object to him being called, 'her man.' "Of course I'm ok! what did you think?" she asked. the three fuzzy bodies were huddled against her stomach. "awwwwww"

Shadow smiled at the three fuzzy pups then licked Hazel "there beautiful" he said soflty

Amber smiled and looked at Hazel "you should have told me before that you were having pups"

"I guessed it just slipped my mind." she said sheepishly. She looked at the lion. "Get the carcass out of here. I don't want these little angels to see a dead lion when they wake up!!!"

Shadow nodded "okay" he said and went over to the lion and started to drag it away.

Amber smiled at the pups. "so what was the question that you two were going to ask me before?"

"Oh! can't believe you remembered that. Well, Shadow was going to ask, but since he's busy..... I'll tell." she licked one of the pups. "We were wondering if you would like to join our Pack."

Amber smiled "I would love to join your pack."

Shadow soon came back after dragging away the lion and smiled at the two

Hazel looked down, one of them was pushing at the others, wanting more milk. Hazel dragged the cub away and put it on one side, her tail blocking him from his sisters.

Amber smiled at Hazel "this will be a wonderfull place to raise your pups." she said happly

Shadow sat down next to Hazel and smiled at the pups. Happy to see that they were okay and completely forgot that he had a few wounds on him form the right.

Hazel smelled something. "Your hurt!" she realized. "At least tend to those wounds!!!!"

Shadow looked at his wounds and smerked "I thought he didn't even scratch me, guess I was wrong" he said then started to lick his wounds

Hazel sighed. "Sometimes you can be so neglectful." she said.

Shadow smiled at her "yay I can be"

Amber smiled at them "I think we could get other wolves to join the pack"
