Shadow was getting worryed since they were not comeing out and soon went in after them.

"And see? it looks like a huge mossy rock from the outside! So no one could find us! It's the ultimate hiding spot!" "Cool!" Tyson liked this, in case he needed time to himself, he could come here.

Shadow smiled when he saw that they were safe. He made sure that they didn't see him and swam back up to the surface and went back to his bush

"Whee! the stone feels funny!" Tyson had touched it. It felt like a living thing, warm and buzzing. "wow!"

When Tyson touched the stone shadow felt like he needed to go somewhere. With out knowing it he dove back into the water and swam to the cave. When he surfaced into the cave he felt stronger and wiser. "dont touch the stone little one" he siad as he walked over to them. But Shadow could not see himself and now that he was in the near the stone his usual black fur had turned snow white. He also sounded as if he didn't belong to this world and also a lot wiser.

"Who are you?" Umay yelped as the new wolf stepped in. "Is this your den?" Celest asked, shivering. "We got here first! Your not in our pack either, so where did you come from?" They didn't recognise Shadow's new white fur. Tyson still had his paw on the stone.

Hazel woke up. "Pups?" she asked when she felt they weren't sleeping. She poked her head outside. "Shadow?" She started following their scent.

Shadow smerked when they said that he wasnt' part of there den and wondered why. RIght when he was about to say that it was him his mouth didn't work. Well it did but the words that he wanted to say didn't come out instead he felt something use him as a way to talk to tthe little pups. He said "yes pups you may have found this but you must not touch it. For this stone is very powerfull and if you touch it for to long you might start to let out what is trapped in it. For already twice has something come out of it and only once has it been for good. Now please little one back away from teh stone before you let something out." He said and his voice now held a sound to it that made him sound as old as time

Celest and Umay huddled by Tyson. "you didn't say who you were yet." Tyson said with much more bravery then what her felt. "Celest, take place of me." he whispered. She nodded and put her hind leg on it while Tyson stepped forward.

Hazel followed the scent until it came to the river. "they did say they wanted to keep swimming..." she dove underwater when she smelled Shadow's smell too.

Shadow smiled at them "I can't say who I am since this is just the body I am using to talk to you. but if you must call me anything call me Waite." he said and smiled at them "but the body I am using to talk to you is the only good thing that has come from the stone you now touch. Now please step away from it."

Hazel heard(to the best of her ability) the pups talking. She went to the rock, pushed it, and found it was seaweed. "you guys, what are you doing down here-" she looked at the new wolf. "Hello, do you need something of my cubs?"

Shadow turned to Hazel and smiled then looked at the cubs. "yes Tell them to back away form teh stone before something comes out of it." Waite said through shadow and he took a stwp towards the pups "I dont want to cause trouble but if they dont back away form it soon something bad might happen."

"Tyson, Umay, Celest, step away from the rock." Hazel said. Umay scooted over to Hazel immediatly, followed by Tyson. Celest asked "What will come out? It's just a Moonrock!"

Shadow smerked and walked over to Celest. "it is a moonrock but traped inside it are evil things. Only once has the evil come out of the stone and that almost destroyed the earth. but it was stoped by a pack of wolves. The other time something came out it was good and it took the form of the wolf before you." Waite said through shadow and smiled at Celest. Then frowned "but I am afraid that the evil is comeing back."

Hazel squinted at Waite. "you look like someone I know....."She paused to think. "Evil spirits? It sounds exciting!" said Celest. "I think you just want the rock all to yourself!" "That's it!" Hazel realized. "What did you do with Shadow?!"

Shadow smiled and Waite said "I did nothing with him, he is right here with us. He is just leting me use his body to speak to you, but he is not hurt." Shadow then took another step towards the stone and looked at the other wolves "but I will not ask again step away form the stone for if you let out the evil I will have faild in my job of protecting it." Waite said and looked at them

Hazel growled. Umay and Tyson growled. Celest said, "If I let go of the stone, will you let Shadow back out?"

Waite nodded "yes I will." he siad happly since they were going to finnally let go of the stone

"Let him go first." Hazel said.

Watie nodded and shadows fur started to turn back to black. Soon Shadow stood there almost all black exept for the tips of his ears and Right befreo Waite left it said "but be warned, the evil is comeing back and might come after you since you are the first wolves to come here in many centures and now that you have been exposed to the stone might possess powers so be carefull." then all the white fur was gone and shadow stood there dazzed and confused.

"Shadow!" Celest took her foot off of the stone like she promised. "Are you ok?" Hazel asked worriedly. Tyson and Umay started sniffing him, wondering what happened

shadow shook his head and nodded "I am fine." he said and looked at Hazel

"Well, its been a long night, lets go back to the den." Hazel said, herding the cubs out into the water and onto dry land.

Shadow stayed in the cave and just looked at the stone and thought about what waite said. but after a little bit followed them

The cubs had finally all fallen asleep and Hazel was dozing off in their den.

Shadow smiled seeing them asleep but stayed awake. he still thought about Waites words and wondered if what she said ws true
