Shadow had heard what Umay had said and knew that was what he looked like now. The boy saw Umay and got scared. Shadow looked a tthe boy and licked his hand. Then looked at Umay and the others. He knew that they would not understand why he did this untill he told them why. " come over, he will not hurt us." shadow said as he looked at them

Hazel nodded. this human would do no harm. "Come on now, its just a pup." Celest and Tyson came out of the bushes. "We saw what you did from the tree!" Celest said. "Yeah, who were the other humans?" Tyson asked Shadow.

Shadow looked at him "they are humans from a village." he said and looked at the boy. He looked very tired and was falling asleep next to shadow. "I help this pup because no human should have to be chased. I have been aorund them long enough to know that."

"Why was he in trouble?" Celest asked. Tyson sniffed the human, slowly went over, and nudged him with his nose. "He's squishy!" he said, snuggling next to him. Umay immediatly bounded over.

Shadow shrugged "I have no idea but I knew he needed help" he said as he looked at the sleeping boy

The cubs were piled on the human now. "Well, let's take him back to camp. It's warmer in the cave." Hazel said, nudging the cubs so they could help her carry the boy.

Shadow nodded and put the boy on his back. "I can carry him, but promise me that when he wakes up that you dont hurt him. He will be scared but he should calm down if you lick his hand and show him kindness." he said and sounded like he knew more then a wolf should about humans.

Tyson looked at Shadow weirdly. He nodded, but wondered why he knew so much. Sure, it was natural for Shadow and Mama to be wiser, but Shadow seemed to wise about that particular subject.

"now come, he need a good warm place to rest." Shadow said as he walked towards the cave. When he got to the cave he made a pile of leaves and layed the boy down in them. "thee, he will be nice and warm now" he said happly

"Ok, I'll stay here and watch him. Pups, go on and play." "Alright!" Tyson and Celest bounded off. Umay on the other hand, asked, "Can I stay here? I wanna watch too!" "Oh alright." Hazel said.

Shadow nodded "I will go and play with the pups. When the boy wakes up give him a nice warm welcome." he said then ran after Tyson and Celest

The boy moved a little bit but didn't wake up

Umay thought back to when they were talking about Spirit guides. Did she really feel hooves beneath her feet? It felt lovely.

Soon the boy opend its eyes and they quickly got filled with fear at the sight of Hazel and Umay. He back up to the wall and looked at the two with terror in his eyes.

Umay remembered what Shadow n=had said. She walked over and licked his hand. Hazel smiled and went over too.

The boy smiled at them when the licked his hand and placed his other hand on Umays head and petted her gently.

Umay thought about the time her siblings had talked about Humans when they thought she was asleep. "I heard Ben say they have sticks that shoot fire!" Celest had said once. "I heard that Humans can kill wolves with their hands, and when the wolf is dying, the only thing it can feel is the grip of cold hands on it's neck!" Tyson had whispered. Umay concentrated on the boy's hands/ Tyson was wrong, these hands were warm.

The boy smiled and looked at them "where is your father?" he asked since he thought Shadow was there father

Shadow was outside playing with Tyson and Celest.

Umay looked at him. "He's not our dad, we don't know who ours is." Hazel padded up and said, "He doesn't understand you."

The boy just looked at her and only heard barking and growling. He shrugged and started to pet Hazel

Shadow soon came in and smiles seeing the boy awake

"See?" Hazel said, licking the boys hand. "He won't understand you." Umay jumped up and licked his face. "Understand me! Come on, My. Name. Is. Umay!"

The boy looked at her with a confused face. Shadow looked at Umay and sighed "he will not understand you, let me" he said and looked at the boy. "My. Name. Is. Shadow." he siad in english and the boy looked surprised

"Ahh!" Umay jumped. "You talk Human! Is your Spirit animal a Human?"

The boy continued to stare at shadow.

Shadow smiled and turned to Umay "yes it is" he siad softly "I am the only wolf with a human sprirt animal."

"WOW!!!!!!!!!" Umay yipped around and ran outside. "Hey you guys!!!! Shadow has a human Spirit Animal!!!!!!!!!" Hazel smiled. "that's why you seemed so close to humans." she said. She wanted to try something. "Tell him my name!"

Shadow smiled and nodded. Then turned to the boy and said in english "Her. Name. Is. Hazel." the boy nodded this time not as surpried and said "nice to met you, I am Alex"
